"What's lire? Sorry, I'm not really savvy in foreign money." he put his wallet away. He chuckled when she had issues with impulse too. Guess it ran in most families. "It's good to know I'm not the only one."
He watched her make the drink, it was going to be good. The flood of flavor would be rushing back when he drank it. It was a mouth watering thought.

"Lire? It's Italian currency. Makes sense that you'd pay for things in the Italian District with Italian money, si?" she asked with a crooked smile. "Here you go. Y'know, you're the only reason I even bothered to keep this drink. You're the only person that ever orders it."
She twirled the straw between her fingers a few times before sticking it in the drink and handing it to him with a smile. It was nice to know that others were just as impulsive as she was; she sometimes worried that she was pretty much alone in her reckless hotheadedness. She knew that Eliza was equally reckless, and she knew that Gabe could be brave to the point of being ridiculous. None of it was the same as just being flat-out impulsive, which is what Ally was.

"Right!" Peter had forgotten what part of the alley he was in. Of course it was the italian part, everyone was nice, it was very clean, and there were people playing violin in the street. Not something you see in Nevada. He accepted the drink, "Thanks. Really? No one likes root beer? Right, the british drink that butter beer stuff. American's and our weird drinks." he chuckled.
Ahh, all those flavors. The flavor of the root beer, the ice cream, it was just so good. He felt a bit more relaxed now. Such a good drink...

"Root beer is probably the most normal flavor I carry," she scoffed. "Cupcake sodas are very popular back in Italy; so are vanilla bean."
Actually, she was rather partial to root beer...blame it on a few too many stints working in the American embassy. She liked the stuff; why else would she keep it stocked besides having one American regular customer? It was funny that he forgot that he was in the Italian District, though. With the street-corner musicians and obsessive-compulsive cleanliness of the residents, it was hard to imagine that one was anywhere else.

"Well, guess that makes me kind of abnormal huh?" He had always said root beer was the best flavor, guess it was the most normal. Peter chuckled. Go figure that he'd be abnormal for liking a normal flavor. He laughed.

"I don't know if you're abnormal for liking root beer or everyone else is for liking sodas that taste like cupcakes," she admitted with a laugh. "They're not bad, I have to admit. I like vanilla bean better, personally."
Her and her odd, Italian taste buds. She liked the sodas that were popular back in her homeland a lot; they reminded her of holidays in Venice with her mother. Ally's mother had been hotheaded and sometimes irresponsible, but she'd been a good mother. They all missed Vittoria horribly, Chris most of all. He denied it and tried to act like he was over it, but they all knew better. They knew him better.
