"No, don't touch me." Lianna cried, "Death is following me. I swear, he's keeping tabs on who should die next... Why does it have to be me? I didn't do anything to him, did I?" She felt horrible, she couldn't shake the feeling it was her fault. If she'd just waited for Al to go check on Shep this wouldn't have happened, "If I hadn't wanted to check on my one eared dog, none of this would've happened and Aura'd still be here to laugh with me. I caused all of this... It's my fault." She wanted to punch herself for being so stupid.
"I got this mum." George said holding a hand out to his mother. Molly walked off, a bit hurt that she couldn't help the girl. "Pyre, come on, it's okay. It's not your fault... she wanted to go. She knew the risk, and she took it. She would've been a true Gryffindor." he smiled and hugged her. She needed it.
"Maybe it's because I'm braver than my Gryffindor Husband. I mean, I was a Hufflepuff! What role did we play in everything? Ravenclaw, smarts. Slytherin, ambition. Gryffindor, bravery. Hufflepuff, everyone else. Anyway, I'm getting off topic. But I hope he's happier when he sees his baby for the first time. I can already tell he's going to make a big name for himself." Tonks smiled down at her stomach. She was so happy, but so heart broken. She wondered if her baby could feel what she felt.

"Now you're being silly. I love you, Lianna Lyn...how could I leave you alone to cry?" he asked softly, kissing her forehead. "We're at war; there will be casualties, and they're not your fault. Aura was willing to take the risk because she cared for you. Don't blame yourself."
Pyre hugged him back, despite the pain it caused her, sobbing into his shirt. She wasn't sure what was worse, the fact that she'd let Aura get killed or the fact that she'd done what she always swore she wouldn't and cried in front of people.
"I-it is m-my fault," she protested. "Sh-she shouldn't have e-even b-been there! I s-such an idiot; I sh-should've m-made her st-stay h-here!"
"He will," Cassie reassured her. "Men have this odd way of falling in love with their children at first sight, even though they didn't want anything to do with them before. I've never questioned it."
Alistair sat and stared at the wall blankly, hands clenched so tightly into fists that they'd started bleeding. He still couldn't believe that he'd let this happen. Elena was dead, and Angelina had damn near died. He should've prevented it...he knew that he could have...

"Easily!" Lianna screamed, "It's not that hard to get up and walk away!" She would have loved to get up and run even further away but he was holding her a bit too tight. She was lucky she could breathe. She just sat there, her tears were still flowing, but she wasn't sniffing, whimpering or anything she was just letting the tears roll.
"Shh, shh, it's okay, it's okay." George told her, "She's in a better place now. I'm sure she's seeing unicorns eating rainbows and pooping butterflies but that would mean she's happier right? It's not your fault she wanted to save her friend. You couldn't stop her if you wanted to, she felt like she had to do this. She wanted to see you guys fight and save your family. She would understand."
"Alright, if you say so... You know I still have not seen this cousin of mine. It's like he's elusive." Tonks shrugged.

"Maybe it's not, but I won't," he retorted.
He wished that he could do something to help her...but right now, he was pretty sure that all she needed was a shoulder to cry on. He could be that; he had before. When Zoey died...God, how was he going to break the news to Thom and Maryse? It had only been a year since they lost another of their daughters....
"I w-wish it had been m-me instead of h-her," she sobbed. "Sh-she was s-so y-young...sh-she shouldn't have b-been the one that d-died!"
It just didn't make sense. Pyre fell off of a friggin' roof and survived, but Aura died because she was hit by a spell...why? It wasn't right...
"That's because he is, dear," Cassie deadpanned. "He works almost as much as your uncle, and he spends the time that he's not working pursuing this girl, Mariella."

Shayne had been walking around Diagon Alley, looking for Mariella. He hadn't seen her too much in the past week or so. He was confident he would find her eventually. He retreated back to the Salla hoping that he might find her there, or heck, anyone he actually liked. There seemed to be a great deal of people gone from there.
Shayne was getting ever so slightly worried, something he rarely did, as he had heard about the rescue of Lianna Marie. He really wanted to go; even if he didn't particularly like her he wanted to save her because it was just in his nature to want to do so. Shayne brainstormed a few locations they could've gone to if the mission was over. The first on his list was the Salla, but they weren't here. The second was one of the Order bases. The Burrow seemed to be the main base, seeing as that was where Potter was sent to live, and was extremely close with.
Shayne apparated directly to the edge of the barrier of the Burrow, and hurried through the barrier, to the house. Shayne heard voices on the other side of the door.
Sh-she was s-so y-young...sh-she shouldn't have b-been the one that d-died!
That was Pyre's voice. Instead of knocking like he would've normally, he burst through the door, and looked around. Aura was on the couch, and she seemed to be passed out.
"What happened?" Shayne asked wanting to know what had happened, obviously.
Harry had been debating whether to go to the Burrow or not. There were people who were now dead in there. And the memories of that house, which had been burned down in his time, oh so painful. But he would go. He would go. He needed to be better trusted and loved by the Order in order to get everything he wanted to happen to happen. He just had to suck it up.
Harry had gotten to the Burrow, and saw a young man he had yet to meet rush through the door. Harry ran to see what could've been such a problem for someone to just burst through the door. Slowly Harry entered the door of the Burrow and looked around, closing the door behind him. Harry saw Tonks and almost immediately looked away. He looked over at that couch and saw a young girl dead.
This was why they couldn't allow young people to fight.
Harry shook his head. "So why is one so young dead on this couch?"
Shayne turned towards Harry and shot him a short glare before slowly approaching Aura on the couch.
Remus had just come from a visit with Harry Potter at the Grimmauld Place. Leave it to him to find the boy no one else could find yet. The Grimmauld Place was safe for now anyways. The meeting left Remus feeling furious at Harry, but he also felt ever so slightly better than before about the whole baby business.
Remus had planned on a simple visit to Molly and Arthur, to try and talk with them. He wanted to go back, but he was so afraid of the baby; he was so afraid to face Dora again. Remus approached the door to the Burrow and knocked on the now closed door, expecting Molly or Arthur to answer it.

"There's your elusive cousin Shayne, dear," Cassie sighed. "And he seems to be in one of his moods..."
Alistair stood with a sigh and slowly made his way into the room, trying to formulate a report for Shayne since Angelina clearly was not in any state to. He flicked his eyes away from Aura's pale face the second he saw it.; he didn't need another reason to blame himself for her dying. He was perfectly aware of the fact that it was all his fault.
"Everything went south," he explained. "Angelina fell off of a roof, and Aura got distracted, and she was hit by a Killing Curse."
While Alistair explained what had happened to Aura, Cassie slipped around the men to open the door. She scowled for a moment when she saw Lupin.
"How can I help you Remus?" she asked.

Shayne clenched his fist and sighed trying not to get too upset.
"Damn. I should've been there," Shayne said shaking his head, "Aura never should have gone on this mission." If only he could've somehow changed it.
Harry's arms were crossed as he saw the scene unfold. He really tried his best to keep his blabbering mouth shut. If he said anything offensive to them, he may as well kick his butt good-bye. And he would probably loose their support, at least towards him. Harry did not need any more enemies. He really wanted to say, 'Damn straight. This is exactly why children shouldn't be allowed to fight.' And he would have, if he wasn't trying to get people to like him and if everyone didn't seem so sad.
"Oh... er..." Remus said looking around, "I just wanted to... speak with Molly and Arthur, but I see that they're probably busy... I-I should go..." He turned slightly to leave, but he didn't turn all the way, just in case that Cassie was going to say that Dora wasn't there. Because right now he was avoiding her, just until he could get his head completely clear.

"It's my fault, sir," Al mumbled. "I thought it would be safer to leave her with Angelina and George to cause the distraction. I should have sent her with Leo."
Al glanced at Angelina out of the corner of his eye and sighed in relief internally. She was calming down, at least a little. He would be talking to her mother about putting the girl on leave for a while. It had been, what, two years since the last time she had any extended time off? Angelina was overdue. He'd just take on the shifts she would've been working.
"I contacted her father, sir," he continued. "He's sending Rhys and Stefan in his place; he said that he couldn't leave Bari at the moment."
Cassie sighed and decided, against her better judgement, that it would be better if she spoke to Remus without Aurelius present.
"Wait," she grumbled. "What did you have to say?"

Shayne kept himself calm and wasn't smiling nor frowning. "Something like this can never happen again," Shayne said to Alistair. He knew there would be casualties, and expected some every once and a while. He was confident that this Civil War would end in his life time, and he was sure that he wouldn't let his bodyguard convince him out of something like this again, especially with a lady was in trouble.
He didn't blame Al for Aura's death, nor Pyre, nor Lianna (no matter how much he would love to pin something against her, because he really didn't like her all that much). Casualties were bound to happen. If blame should be given, then he would give it and punish the guilty parties accordingly. It wasn't Al's, Pyre, Lianna's, George's, Leo's or his own fault, it was those damn Auditore and anyone who would ever ally with them.
"Oh, er... I just..." Remus said trying to find the words, "I just wanted to ask them for advice, and... ask Arthur how he felt when he found out they were going to have Bill..." This felt so awkward right now, and he didn't even know if Dora was in there or not. He didn't know if he should run as fast as he could or wait for her answer. His indecision seemed decide for him because he remained at the doorstep.

"Of course not," Al agreed. "It was a mistake to bring her along...I'll send notice to withdraw anyone under fifteen from the war along with Stefan and Rhys when they arrive."
It would be a blow to the fighting capabilities of the Cavaliere, but it was better to have a depleted fighting force than to bury more eleven-year-olds. It was better for the kids, too. Al had been helping to fight the war since he was nine, and most days he felt much older than twenty. He'd thought for years that they shouldn't let anyone younger than fifteen on the battlefield.
"I could tell you how Aurelius was," she offered. "And I think I'm just as capable of giving advice as Molly."

"Good, good," Shayne said, before turning towards the others, "Make it so." Shayne looked towards Lianna and Leo then towards Pyre and George. "Is anyone else hurt?"
He knew that losing the young of their fighting force would be a blow to the Cavaliere fighting capabilities, but Shayne knew it was in the best interest of protecting the younger kids. The kids of the Cavaliere were the future of the Curia, and he knew that if too many kids died, the future of Curia would look grim.
"I-I suppose," Remus replied nervously, before realizing how he must look like a lunatic. There was a clump of his hair that was either pulled out completely or sticking straight up from when he was talking with Harry at the Grimmauld Place, and his clothes looked worse than normal. "I just don't know... what to do." He ran his hands through the hair on the both sides of his head and looked down. He was completely wrecked right now.

"Angelina fell from a roof," Al replied. "She's probably broken at least a few bones. I would like to recommend that she be put on leave for a while; it's been two years since she last took an extended break."
Alistair glanced over at the man with his arms crossed and rose an eyebrow as if to ask if he had anything to say. Anabelle had mentioned this guy being named something like Prewett. Al hadn't paid much attention to his first name. He looked like he wanted to say something, though.
"What exactly are you afraid of?" Cassie asked.
The man looked like a train wreck! Had he been in a fist-fight before coming there or something?

"Agreed," Shayne said with a nod looking around, "I suppose the others are just fine as well?"
Shayne really hid that fact that the death of Aura really was affecting him for some reason. It wasn't like he was that attached to the girl, but really it was saddening that she had to die for them to pull the kids out of this war. And the fact he wasn't there to protect her. He hated that fact.
"I seem to have..." Harry began to say seeing the boy, Al, as he remembered, glance at him, "Stumbled upon something much different than I expected." He expected these kids to feel that it was quite alright to send kids on the field, but judging from what he was seeing, these kids were just like Analisa had said. Maybe he might actually trust Lisa, but that was a little soon to tell. He was hoping that the kids took it as that he was expecting just a pleasant visit with the Weasleys.
"Everything," Remus immediately stated looking up at her, before expanding on what he was meaning, "The child will be like me, I don't know if I can go on knowing that I caused all of the future hatred towards it... and... I don't know if I can be any sort of good father. I-I don't even know if Dora will accept me back if I come back to her."

Lianna just cried. She gave in to the help and started beating her head on Leo's chest. She still felt like it was her fault. "Why did this happen today? Couldn't it have waited till we were all ready?"
Tonks had heard the knock at the door and waited till she heard a voice. She went to hide in the cabinets. What was he doing there?! It was horrible that neirther of them wanted to see each other, so why would they be in the same place?

"Shaken, but fine otherwise. I heard that the defense of Bari was successful; is Abigail okay...?" he asked hopefully.
Abigail Cavaliere was Alistair's wife; she'd been stuck at their home in Bari since the siege began. Since Al had been elsewhere, he didn't even know if her and their son were alright. He prayed that they were; he couldn't stand to lose Abby and Rigdon.
He glanced over at Prewett when he spoke and smiled wryly.
"I suppose so. I'm sorry that we ruined what should have been a happy visit," Al apologized.
Cassie nodded thoughtfully, thinking over what she would say.
"You do know that lycanthropy probably isn't genetic, right?" she asked. "As for whether or not you'll be a good father, you won't know until you try, and Dora would probably take you back if you worked at it."
Leo sighed and kissed the top of Lia's head.
"Death rarely waits for anyone, Lia," he murmured. "It was just her time, painful as it is."
