"No, I don't. I plan to throw rocks at fish the rest of the night. Then maybe have a picnic by the lake." Lianna said looking back over her shoulder.
She felt bad that he'd thought that but she didn't like his dad. Most girls don't like their boyfriend's dads anyway, so it shouldn't be a surprise to him. She stood still for a moment and waited for him to catch up. Once he did, she hooked her wrist around his elbow. She couldn't stay too mad at him, never really had. She'd always appologized not long after. Even when they were kids she did that.

I've got nothing to lose; you've got nothing to say, and we're leaving today. We'll never go home.

"You know that you're not actually supposed to do that, right?" he asked as they walked down the street towards the Third Yard.
Damn it. If she'd wanted to go on a picnic, she should've warned him! Now he'd have to drop by Mich's place and mooch foodstuffs from her, and that was where things started spiraling. Mich was a great big sister, and she got along with Lia, but she got along with Lia too well. Once they started talking, there was no point in trying to get them to stop. All he could do was sit and wait for them to finish.

"Oh well..." she said staring straight ahead, "I'm not going to take my anger out on you so I'll take it out on fish. Plus you know I can't stay mad at you."
Shep tugged at the leash, they didn't need food to have a picnic! They could sit there and have a nice conversation. Lianna's idea of a picnic was basking in the sun while eating sandwiches and throwing a frisbee. Only thing, they didn't bring any food. It was a spur of the moment choice, they'd need a blanket too thought. This was going to be a long day.
