Remus' eyes widened in surprise, but he relaxed himself, knowing that he couldn't loose focus now. It was war, and there were going to be casualties. War, well, really it was a different kind of war than most places. This was a war between to groups, not governments and it was yet to be an open sort of war like it was in Italy. But it was still war, just quieter and more in the shadows. Bill began explaining everything that had happened. Remus looked at his crying wife at the news, and wished to at least, just be there for her now.
"Of course there wasn't anything you could do," Remus said when Bill was talking about how Mad-Eye died. It was quiet. Teddy didn't look like he normally did, and it was actually quite sad how sad Teddy seemed to be at this. Bill walked over to the cupboard, pulling out some firewhiskey, sending glasses of firewhiskey out. "Mad-Eye." Bill raised his glass.
Teddy did the same, as did Remus, who Teddy could tell was still looking worried, yet his expression was quite unreadable at the same time. Remus seemed tense and worried, but nothing else seemed to come through. Teddy knew that Remus must be feeling a mix of feeling, such as guilt for not being able to do anything, acceptance because he knew it was war, and various other feelings. Teddy was feeling some of that as well, except he felt even more guilty because he knew it was going to happen and yet he did nothing about it. Teddy remained standing, making the smallest of movements, such as raising his glass, and drinking his glass, but otherwise he was completely still (blinking of course, as it would be odd). Teddy's hair was a depressing mousy brown, which apparently was the color that his mother had when she was depressed as well.

Tonks lifted her glass, "Mentor." she said instead of Mad-Eye. He wasn't just Mad-Eye to her, he was like a father, a friend, teacher. He was the person she had to rant to about her horrible love life the year before. He'd listen then tell her to shut up, get over it, and get back to work. Maybe she needed that sometimes. Maybe it was his way of saying he was there to help her along, get her through the road bumps. She still had tears rolling down her face as she reached for her husbands free hand. She needed reassurance that there were others there still.
Sophie didn't know what to say, she'd known all along this was going to happen and did nothing to prevent it. She'd sat by like her brother did and let it happen. Maybe it had been a key turning point in the war, so what if it was. The guilt from it all was getting to her. She raised her glass. Muggles usually gave speeches but she figured she shouldn't bring that up. Now they just had to keep everyone seated and make sure there were more than thirteen at a table. She didn't want Trelawney's prediction about thirteen dining and one dying to come true. It would really suck having to explain that one.

It was silent for awhile. Remus had a feeling that everyone was besides his wife, who was probably worse off than anyone here because of it, was thinking about the same thing. "What about Mundungus?" Remus finally said feeling that someone should ask it.
"I know what you're thinking," said Bill. "And I wondered that too, on the way back here, because they seemed to be expecting us, didn't they? But Mundungus can't have betrayed us. They didn't know there would be seven Harrys, that confused them the moment we appeared, in case you've forgotten, it was Mundungus who suggested that little bit of skullduggery. Why wouldn't he have told them the essential point? I think Dung panicked, it's simple as that. He didn't want to come in the first place, but Mad-Eye made him, and You-Know-Who went straight for him. It was enough to make anyone panic."
And Teddy knew exactly what had happened, yet he remained silent. His Uncle Harry didn't even know it until about three years after the Battle of Hogwarts ((I'll address this later in Harry's journal)), and taught Teddy and Sophie, when Uncle Harry had told them about Severus Snape, the bravest man Harry Potter knew. The young one just didn't realize it. Why did his hair have to be so similar to Tonks' hair when she had been depressed. He had noticed it the year before and realized it was exactly the same exact shade of mousy brown. Hopefully no one besides Sophie right now realized it and connected two and two, with their strange and sudden appearance, similarity between him and his parents, the mousy brown hair, Metamorphagus abilities, and the fact that Remus actually didn't have any relatives really on his side (Teddy had done some extremely in depth research and the closest Remus had was a third cousin who lived in Australia in the future).

Tonks excused herself for the moment. She needed to calm herself down. She decided on the only place no one would really follow her. The bathroom. She just didn't know how else to handle it, most people would cry. She, on the other hand, refused to cry. She'd cried enough in the past two years and didn't need any more tears. Tonks could hear Mad-Eye as if he were standing next to her. "Quit your crying, there are more important things going on." He'd told her that the year before when she'd been crying about her love life.
Sophie nudged her brother, glanced at him, then tapped out that he needed to change his hair color to something different before someone noticed the resemblence. They couldn't reveal it now, not after hanging on for this long. Sophie herself was on the verge of tears but had to keep it together, Mad-Eye was one of those that would get mad at you for crying for him. He'd say he wasn't worth crying for, that everyone should just go on with their normal lives. But, she couldn't help but think that her and Teddy should've done something, should've said something, only, if they had they'd be questioned. So many decisions to make, so many ups, so many downs. Why did it have to be so hard to make a decison?

Remus couldn't help but notice when Dora excused herself. He glanced around, excused himself, and followed her. He softly tapped on the lavatory door, knowing that she probably needed to calm down. "Dora?" Remus said after he had lightly tapped the door, "I know you're upset; we all are. But Dora, we're here for you, I'm here for you. I want to help you get through this," Yeah, because I know all about it, and I've dealt with it so well. Remus thought at that point, knowing that he wasn't the best with dealing with the death of someone close.
Teddy looked at Sophie when she nudged him, but he shook his head slightly, trying to let her know that his stupid Metamorphagus abilities were not doing so well. They couldn't let their secret out, or the future might change in a terrible way, and their parents might still die, and not let them help save them. Or they would be pegged as just some crazy kids, or working for Voldemort to get them to believe that they indeed knew the future where Voldemort wins, at least for a long time.
Harry had been quite surprised when Bill announced Mad-Eye's death. He drank the firewhiskey, and toasted to Mad-Eye. He looked around to Teddy, noticing how Teddy look awfully familiar to someone. Harry just couldn't put his finger on it. Then again, Harry didn't know Teddy well. Harry really just knew that Teddy was somehow related to Remus, a Metamorphagus and a fairly new recruit into the Order. Maybe he should talk to the guy later before he left on his journey to find Horcruxes. At this point, Harry actually wanted to just leave on his own, and not let anyone else die for him.

Tonks kept her voice somewhat calm. "I'm fine, just needed to gather my thoughts.." she said through the door. Had to keep positive thoughts. She opened the door, her hair was slightly browner but it was still a bit pink. She tried smiling, "Everythings fine, no need to worry." What hurt was that she just wanted to say she was emotionally unstable because of being pregnant. She'd bang her head on the wall later to get it out of her system.
Sophie bit her lip. Someone was going to notice, she just knew it. She looked around and saw Harry, the younger one, staring at them. She gave a sad reassuring smile to make it look like they were talking about Mad-Eye and not hair color. She tapped out that he was on to them, although she had to make it look like it was to the music in her head.
