"I like to keep my horses close, they could get sick with some icky thing and I wouldn't know until I got a letter from Mr. Greene." Mary Anne said. Her big, luminous, blue eyes looked at Shayne with a look of sadness that showed she would give anything to stay with her horses as she went through school. Any young farm girl would feel the same. When an animal (or animals) belonged to you, you had the urge to always care for them.
"My horses are important, they're mine. I promised Mr. Greene that I would always try my hardest and then I'd be come the worlds best in any ekestian(equestrian) event." she smiled with her hands on her waist. "If your job is so important, why aren't you working now? Did you come to find someone?"

"That's true. However, Mary," Shayne began asking, "Which one would be more important to you, your horses or your education? And there is no wrong answer, either." He understood what she was meaning. He always wanted to take care of his mother, and while it wasn't the same thing as a pet, he was always a very protective person, if one couldn't tell already.
"I bet you will, if you work hard enough at it," Shane replied with a smile, before sighing at her question about his job, "Well, I was heading there when I saw you all alone. I was worried when I saw such a little girl all by herself and what could happen to that girl." Stupid chivalrous side. Well, at least something came out of it. He found a Parselmouth girl, who may or may not need help later.

"Well, I've never really gone to school with other people before. So, I guess my answer is my horses! I'd choose them over anything." Mary Anne smile. She smiled nodded. They would always be her first choice. Even if she had a boyfriend when she was older who thought horses were the most disgusting things on the planet, she'd make sure they were well taken care of before she went anywhere.
"No pain no gain! But I'm still afraid of the high jump." she messed with her shoes. "I wanna see where you work!! I can go with you, Mr. Greene shouldn't mind, he likes me making new friends." She grinned, she hadn't really been anywhere and would love to explore.
