Looking out the window of her dorm, Temperance stared up into the stars. Tonight they were brighter then ever, twinkling across the sky, almost dancing. Deciding it was as good a time as ever to do her Astronomy homework, even though really she just wanted to stargaze, she stood up off her bed and quickly got dressed. Temperance had thrown on a pair of dark denim jeans with rips on the front of the legs, five to be exact on both legs combined. As well she had put on a snug fitting plain black long sleeved shirt along with her black flats. Grabbing a pony tail from her dresser she put her long blonde hair up in a messy bun, grabbed her books and headed out of the Hufflepuff Dorms and Common Area. She made it to the Tower quickly and easily, setting her books down, she walked over to the telescope and looked through the lens. The stars seemed to be alive tonight, it was the perfect night to watch them. She adjusted the telescope and gazed upon the little dipper, smiling as the lights twinkled. Then turning her attention the mars, she watched the red planet, staring at the little details of the planet. Mars was so close tonight, she could see the polar caps and the blue haze of the atmosphere. Leaning back she grabbed her books and started her homework. Mars, the blue haze is the C02 atmosphere and the white is the polar caps.

Aaron could not sleep for the life of him. Nothing he did could help him go to sleep. And what did he do on nights like this? Well first he would do just about everything to get to sleep, run around in circles, use a calm spell on himself, everything that he could think of. There was one thing else he would do, but it was risky, since it meant leaving the common room. Aaron decided it was the only way.
Quickly Aaron climbed through the portrait hole and looked around to make sure no prefects were around. Aaron dashed through the school, only being afraid of capture once when a prefect walked right passed him behind a suit of armor. He made it to the not too far place of the nearby Tower where one could view stars easily.
In there he noticed a girl, to which his response was to hide behind something nearby. After a few minutes of observation he realized she wasn't a prefect... A prefect wouldn't be writing and sitting doing nothing but writing and gazing. Aaron approached carefully like a hurt lion approaching a human who was going to help them, unsure if she would be absolutely rude to his weirdness.
"Hello?" Aaron said as he walked straight but his body slightly off to the side, "What... are you doing here?"

Temperance sat there completely involved in her homework and the site of the stars. She didn't know why but she loved the stars, they were mesmerizing. By the sky really, especially on nights when the Aurora Borealis shone brightly dancing through the sky. Those by far were her favorite nights. Focusing back on mars she started to scratch words down on the parchment in front of her, drawing out the planet and describing what she saw.
Sitting there she was totally oblivious to the fact there was someone else in the tower, watching her. As he approached and said hello, she jumped dropping her quill on the stone floor. Looking quickly up she feared the worst, that a prefect had come to scold her for being in the Towers. Quickly checking for a badge, she was relieved to not see one. She hated that she was so easily startled. It was frustrating really. She jumped at the smallest things.
As he asked what she was doing there, she looked to her books, picking up her quill. "Hello." she said to him in return, offering a small smile. "I am just doing some Astronomy homework." she explained to him before questioning him in return,"And what brings you up here?" She hadn't ever met this boy, she didn't know his name, house, or year. Usually she recognized faces, but as hard as she tried she just drew a blank on him. Topping her ink so not to spill it she set it over by her bag before looking back up to the boy.

Aaron's signiture smile spread on his face, seeming to almost dominate his face. Some calle him crazy when he smiled like this, but it was just the way he was, and the way he smiled. If he was crazy... well he was crazy, but if he was crazier, then people would know for a fact that he had gone crazy. Plus it wasn't the loud ones who were the crazies, the quiet ones were the ones who you should look out for, which meant the opposite of Aaron. So he shouldn't be the crazy the one, and those who consider themselves sane, are the insane ones.
Aaron hurried over like a weirdo he was, probably creeping her out, as he usually left people with as a first impression. "Sorry about that, I just thought you were a prefect or something," Aaron said quickly and almost with excitement in his voice, "Would've turned out bad if you were right? You aren't... are you?" He didn't see her badge, but Aaron could imagine that she was some undercover prefect trying to trick poor people like Aaron into getting in trouble. She didn't seem the type, but Aaron didn't know her, so he couldn't jude on just looks.
"Astronomy, huh? I like Astronomy, though not as much as I like DADA," Aaron replied slowing his speaking rate down, "I just couldn't sleep so when I can't I just come up here and look at the stars until I feel drowsy and head back to the common room.... I didn't introduce myself... sorry. My name is Aaron Kelly, fifth year Gryffindor!" He was extremely full of energy right now and he wasn't sure why. It could be because he was like an owl and felt most awake at night time. It was when he made up a good three fourths of his songs.

Watching the boy, as he stood there, temperance noticed a large smile cross his face. She was a little confused as to why he was smiling. She hadn't said anything funny that would merit a large smile. Nor had he said anything, and she didn't think anything looked odd in the room. She glanced around once to make sure. Maybe he was just smiling die to the fact there was someone else in the room, or because he just thought of something happy. She would go with the last one, just to make herself feel better.
Seeing him hurry over towards her she wondered who this boy was. He acted very strangely, and wondered if it as just around new people, or if this was who he genuinely was. As he explained he thought she was a prefect she smiled and shook her head. No, that was something she wasn't. "No, I am not a prefect, but yes I assume it wouldn't have been the best situation had I been a prefect." she said to him thinking of what the outcome of that could have been. Looking back to him she said,"I guess it is safe to assume you aren't a prefect either than?"
As he spoke, Temperance notice him slow down his rate of speech and smiled. "Yes, fascinating subject. As is Defense Againt the Dark Arts." she told him. Both subjects she thoroughly enjoyed, but neither as much as Potions. It was by far her best subject, with transfiguration coming in at a dead last. As he explained why he was in the towers she nodded her head, it was a good enough reason, sounding almost like something sh herself would do. Listening to him introduce himself she smiled and replied,"Pleasure to meet you Aaron. I am Temperance Williams, but you can call me Tempy. I am a sixth year Hufflepuff." that would explain why she hadn't recognized him, he was a year younger and in a different house. She knew there was still many people within the school she had no idea who they were, but slowly she seemed to be meeting them all.
