Tristan was thinking over what Astrid had told him awhile back. Truly the transfers were from the future. He didn't know if he was going to believe it, but found it hard to disprove. It made sense, up until the question, Why?
Right now Tristan was confused as it was, since there was an upcoming war, and well he didn't know what side he would take. He figured he would have to choose, since it was like a civil war almost, and when looking at the French Revolution, well he didn't want to be caught on the wrong side in the end, or looking at the American Revolution, Benedict Arnold truly thought the Americans were going to loose, and thought he was doing them a favor, and in the end he went down as the most notorious traitor to the Americans, though in Britain he wasn't any sort of traitor.
Tristan was having an average day, and he went down to the forest's edge as he did normally, to simply relax and enjoy the fresh air after so much stuffy indoor breathing during class. Tristan really was an outdoors sort of person, and it help him think and relax. He was still so torn between the two sides of this war, and he wanted to be a part of it, since it was important to history, it just depended on how.

Again it was Markoyz's turn to take duty of the forbidden forest. It was here he would often find couples with their lips smacking against each other and their arms flailing wildly. Although he was officially off duty he some how thought to himself it was as he was the only one from the Ministry who would even dare walk into the forest along with the others in his department. It was also here that sometimes he would catch students performing unspeakable charms and curses on harmless animals for the sake of fun to which his duty comes into play. So as stated before it was indeed Markoyz's turn as with every other turn in the past and to be in the future unless he found someone else to take a dangerous willing walk into the forest.
Being the Head of the Magical Law Enforcement department has had it's tolls on him. He has slightly grew a dislike towards the Slytherins and in some cases some of the Durmstrang students. Often he would find himself speaking to the Head Master of Durmstrang informing the head master of the students he has and their actions and how the students are breaking the rules.
He of course wanted a break from all that and took a walk around the forest again with his wand at the ready being Markoyz and also because it was the forbidden forest. He came to a certain point to which he stood still and noticed a figure just near the edge of the forest. His eyes glared heavily at what looked like a male and by the looks of it a student. Swiftly he got closer and closer till he was able to say "You sir, what is your business here?" only to grasp his wand slightly tighter. He of course didn't want to take any chances along with the current rumors spreading around the Ministry and of course the school about the transfers.

Tristan was lost in thought when he heard a voice. What was he doing here? Tristan at first thought it was all in his head, but when it didn't answer when he thought his answer, he realized that there was actually someone talking to him. Tristan's eyes shot open and he turned around to see a man, probably around his late 30's or early 40's.
"Oh, um," Tristan began not having been preparing for this, but he dared not pull his wand on him, as it could seem as a threat, and he didn't think he was too much of an actual threat, unless he made it so he would be, "I'm just thinking, just relaxing... Why are you here? I don't mean any disrespect, but you aren't one of the employees at Hogwarts, are you?" Tristan sure hadn't seen him around before, so he felt it was a good question.

He slowly let go of the tight grasp he had on his wand as he took another breath of air. With that being done he had also smiled slightly and even seemed to relax. Perhaps it was the noted fact that he was no longer alone and the tension of loneliness had vanished. "My dear boy." He said as he smiled and nodded and took a few steps closer. "Do not be alarmed I am not here to harm anyone nor am I on duty or anything." He said knowing that there was no point of reporting on this student as he too had done the same as this student back when he was a child. back when he was still little rebel Markoyz.
"Oh," He said as he took note of how respectful the child was. "Now, now boy. " His voice echoing in the forest as he spoke. "I am simply here just for a casual walk. Come join me if you like?" He asked tilting his head down with a facial express similar to that of an old teacher peering through the top of his or her glasses awaiting a reply.

Tristan quickly stood up and dusted off his jeans, then let a small smile slip off his face. He was nicer than he thought that this man was going to be. Tristan began to think that this guy could be a very nice person, but to say a sort of mentor or father figure, which he never had before, was too soon to tell, or even tell. Tristan was probably one of the only Slytherins who was this respectful to one holding a wand at them, unless it was Voldemort, which he didn't really get. "Oh, ok, good. I really don't want to spend next Saturday in detention for sitting out here," Tristan replied thinking about how he didn't like detention, and rarely got them, despite the common belief that many Slytherins were mean, but Tristan simply liked to have the power, and was very cunning, at the same time of nice yet very confused.
"Sure," Tristan replied with a smile, walking slightly towards the man, "If you don't mind telling me, who are you? Oh, where's my manners, my name is Tristan Clark." Tristan was getting a pretty good vibe from this guy, and seemed to respect him without even knowing who he was. Then again, Tristan usually reserved judgement for later, and once Tristan chose whether he liked them or not, he would not change it. And well, no one wanted to be on his bad side.

"I don't think anyone wants to spend any time in this dreadful place." He said emphasizing his words as he spoke especially 'dreadful place'. It was after all the forbidden forest. A place not to be lost in or you may just lose more than just your self. It was a dangerous place and highly blocked off to students. "It's kind of scary here isn't it? The mist, the darkness, the savage 40 teethed beast that lives in that direction." He said pointing his wand toward his left section to which he shot a ball of what looked like a premature patronus.
The smoke from the Patronus shortly vanished as they continued to walk. It was here he started to converse a little bit more with the student. "Me oh yes where are my manners sir." He said as he nodded slightly to show respect to the student as he believed age wasn't a barrier to respect. "Markoyz De'ath. Head of Magical Law Enforcement. Senior Auror and Hogwarts Senior Chief Security. " He said as he nodded once again. "A lot of words just to say security I guess. "It is indeed a pleasure to meet you Tristan. You don't seem to be like the other Slytherins here. Almost different. I can feel it." He said as he stopped slightly to a certain statue in the middle of no where.

"Well I guess it depends on where you are in the forest," Tristan replied thinking about it as he talked, and the hours he spent here on weekends and afternoons, "There's this clearing about 100 feet ahead of us, and at night, it's probably one of the most beautiful places, the moon light shining just right. It's very beautiful during the day as well, though I think it's more beautiful on a full moon or the close to full moon." Though Tristan had been intimidated by some areas of the forest, if one avoided them, it was a delightful place to be. A great place to clear one's head and think. Plus Tristan had the transfers' (though not one himself) secret to sit on and tell no one since he promised to talk about it to only the transfers.
Tristan was quite pleased that Markoyz De'ath was very respectful to him, which normally didn't happen with older people, not that Markoyz was old, just older than Tristan. "It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. De'ath," Tristan said smiling. He had just met the Head of Law Enforcement. He would make a great ally some time in the future. Tristan's main goal was to make friends and bolster his position, though he did want to make a difference, he just didn't know how just yet. "I'm not like most Slytherins, though people do say I am cunning, secretive, clever, and a true Slytherin except the fact I confuse myself on what to believe, and I am brave, very respectful and nice to most people who don't get on my bad side." Tristan wasn't lying, that was what many people who actually knew who he really was said, though that wasn't very many people. His professors seemed to like him, though some of them had a hint of loathing probably because of a small amount of prejudice towards Slytherins, and Snape well Tristan didn't know what to make of him. "You know, you seem much different than my professors, and the Ministry Workers I know. Like in some way you seem more trustworthy or something like that."

"Is there really?" He said as he walked toward the way Tristan had pointed. "Lumos" He whispered as the tip of his wand started to glow in a bright pale baby blue. Markoyz was quite a unique wizard he was able to manipulate the color of his charms, spells and hexes he conjured. A skill he had been practicing and studying for quite a while when he was promoted to Head of Magical Law Enforcement. Of course sometimes it would fail but he had finally mastered the skill after many years of training.
"This way you say?" He said as he kept walking his wand just in front of him ready for anything. "Well I'm not like other people." he said as he listened closely to what Tristan had to say about him. "I'm not up my self and I don't abuse my powers of my position or just be well excuse the french but a dickhead to other people in society. It's wrong." He said as he walked up toward an opening. "This must be the opening you were walking about?" He said as the bright pale blue light faded from his wand and he walked to a fountain to where the moonlight hit. It was beautiful. The water almost looked like it was made of silver and it dripped down ever so slowly but elegantly. "It's amazing what you can find here aye?" He said as he turned toward Tristan.

"Yes, sir. I'm pretty sure at least," Tristan replied with a smile. He kept his wand ready in his pocket, just in case the creature Markoyz talked about before came their way. The forest could be very dangerous depending on where you went in the forest. Even in the pale light coming from Mr. De'ath's wand seemed calm, as did everything else, which made Tristan almost curious as to what was going to happen, like some monster about to attack and kill the two of them, though it rarely happened to him when he was in here. That didn't mean he couldn't be curious as to if something like that was about to happen.
"It's really hard to find people like that," Tristan replied thinking about it for a second, having a hard time to think of a person like that; he even thought he was not that way either, "I would suppose you are with Dumbledore in this upcoming war? Or neither?" Tristan thought that perhaps Markoyz could help clear up his mind on some of these things, though he wasn't prepared to just go by his advice, but he wanted different views on things. "Definitely, it's very amazing here. I would stay here more often, but it can be dangerous coming here... I guess one could say that even in the darkest of times, if you keep on going and fight, you'll reach something beautiful."

It was all smiles, sunshine and rainbows till he mentioned the recent war outburst. Slowly he turned around with a slight drip of sweat falling from the side of his face. His eyes piercing through Tristan's eyes and soul. "Excuse me?" He asked with a more serious tone. Of course he was not angry but rather curious as to why he knew of the up coming war. As far as he was concerned it was all on the hush hush and not to be spoken about unless Headmaster Dumbledore has spoken to the children about it or even a select few. Again Mark turned his whole body to face the young boy. Curious to what and he even knew of the war he had no option but to ask the following,
"Now, now boy. " He said waving his hands slightly in front of him. "Who was it that told you about the war? " He asked curiously as he gripped slightly tighter on his wand. He wasn't able to answer his question directly but did one of the most popular techniques an educator does and that is to answer a question with another question. "How did you even find out about the war? Has someone said something? Or.." He paused and stood there wondering if he should continue. He was not able to talk about much so it was there he just left it as that and awaited the reply of the young man who stood next to him.

Tristan had the feeling he said something wrong, but there was a good reason he knew. Tris was informed slightly about the future, and he knew eventually Voldemorr died, thanks to Astrid. Tristan completely forgot it was a more down low coming war, but once he found out, well it seemed just so obvious making him wonder why he never saw it before. Trustan was usually one of the first to pick up on things like that. Eithrr way, Tristan felt that the man knew aboit it and probably suspected that Tristan was told by someone, by who he would never reveal since he made a promise.
"Well who couldn't figure it out? " Tristan asked knowing it was such an obviois thing he could easily make something up keep his promise to Astrid, the future girl, "I mean, Vol- I mean You-Know-Who is back, the ministry says he's not powerful, but people have died or gone missing and the Ministry is known to lie... As long as Harry Potter is alive, Vol- You-Know-Who won't stop won't he?"

"The ministry lie?" He said quickly still in a calm voice. Markoyz was a considerate man who over all was a nice person thus was this case. "Now young Tristan." He said trying to reassure him that the Ministry he worked for was not as corrupt as everything thought though sometimes he would see a few shifty staff members and often have them questioned & interrogated immediately with the use of a little veritaserum. "But honestly. The war you speak about..." He again had to stop there and although he knew he was breaking the rule felt a little trust in this man. "Perhaps you know that Mr.Potter was of course part of a group named the order of the phoenix correct?" He asked knowing that if he had not known then he was too do a memory charm on the boy which he hoped he wouldn't have to.
"Voldemort?" He said with out any fear of the name. "Voldemort you mean?" He asked again rather quickly. "Boy, Don't be afraid to use the name, I doubt he would even come for a Slytherin like your self unless you of course have offended the dark lord in some way?" He added slightly raising his wand a few centimeters higher and gently into the air to which he started to mumble a few charts. "Protective charms to keep us safe while we talk." He said as white bursts of light came out of his wand.

Tristan simply shrugged at the fact he thought the ministry didn't. After all they did for a whole year prior. "Of course, at least some of them, I mean all last year Potter said You-Know-Whowas back,a and the evidence there, but the ministry leads us all to believe that nah, that particular dark wizard isn't alive, just some people who keep his legacy going lead by Sirius Black," Tristan replied having only a few bad feelings towards the ministry and that basically spelled them out. Tristan did give Markoyz the benefit of that he could be different, since he definitely seemed different. As he thought he also looked around, though making eye contact a few times, but still scanning the beautiful scenery around them. "Well I knew he had Dumbledore's Army, and was most likely part of the Order. I kinda overhear a lot of things," Tristan answered now knowing that for a fact it was true, having suspected as much before.
"I... I just don't normally say his name, I'm not really afraid, most people don't like when I do," Tristan answered, half truthfully, since he wasn't that afraid to use the name, and the people around him when he did winced, but really Tristan was afraid of Voldemort and what he could do, so he was slightly scared that Voldemort would find out and torture him for it, or something similar. "I haven't offended him, but I haven't helped him either. Really I'm on the fence," Tristan responded, feeling a closer tug towards both recently, since his friends were pro-Voldemort but in the end Voldemort dies and loses. When he looses Tristan didn't know, nor want to know, and all this he got from the transfer he talked to before and he felt like he trusted her, and founded her to most likely tell the truth. "Good idea," Tristan said not really wanted to be overheard by anyone.

"Tristan," He replied thinking of words to come to his mouth as he lowered his wand. He then turned toward him and sat on a large stone just next to him. "Come take a seat." He offered as he took a relaxing breath of air. "This feels nice." He said as he rolled his neck slightly. "Now with the order," He looked around again one last time and when he knew it was safe continued on. "Now with the order, the members don't normally go walking around promoting it with pride, Though I see a difference in you. Your not like other Slytherin's and I do know you will keep this a secret I suppose? If you understand what I'm saying? I too am a member of the Order and we are currently looking for new members." He was quite sure he could trust this child as the child could trust him as he of course was of a high ranked position.
"Of course you may not want to and because you are still young but I strictly recommend you sign up to the army in Hogwarts. Yes I too know about that, all jokes aside I know about everything. I am the Hogwarts Liaison after all. In my contract it is said that I am to connect the Ministry and the magical schools together and in particular Hogwarts. Though I think we both know that my main role is to connect the Dumbledore's army & order together. Don't you agree?" He said as he noticed from the corner of his eye a rat running past. "Veriverto!" Almost instantly the rat became a jeweled gold goblin, "aguamenti." Slowly the cup filled up with the most sparkling water there was. "Drink?" He asked as he pointed the cup toward him.

Tristan did as he was told and sat down next to Markoyz. He thought about it for a bit, Markoyz was part of the Order, which answered his question on exactly what side Markoyz was on if any. Even if in the future Voldemort was defeated, now that the transfers came back, who knew what would happen, and his thoughts were confused, but Mr. De'ath in front of him was offering him guidance, which he felt was nice since no one had ever done it again. "I-I could be in the Order?" Tristan asked in almost a stammer, knowing that he was technically an adult for 12 days already, but Tristan never kept track of his birthday often, having never celebrated it before, "You could trust me enough to do that?"
Tristan then sighed getting rid of his surprise and looked at Markoyz scanning his face to see if Markoyz was indeed telling the truth and not toying with him. Or worse, Markoyz could be a Death Eater who would kill him if he showed disloyalty to Voldemort. Tristan put those thoughts out of his mind having a strong feeling that wasn't the case. "I don't think the army would trust a Slytherin like me, given a good half would probably pretend to infiltrate they're ranks..." Tristan reasoned feeling Harry, and whom ever was in the army wouldn't trust a Snake like him. Most Snakes weren't like him, though he was like most Snakes when it came to many other things, besides choosing a side in this war. "I agree, perhaps make the army almost like a pre-Order thing, informants on the inside of Hogwarts if Dumbledore has to leave again like last year," Tristan agreed with a smile. Just as Markoyz summoned some water his throat had become dry, and Markoyz offered him some water. "That would be nice, thank you so very much," Tristan said taking the glass and drinking only a good amount before looking at Markoyz with a slight smile.
