Harry had gone through a lot the previous week or so. And today was the day the train was leaving for the station. He didn't really want to go back right now. He felt numb all over, and it was hard to accept that Dumbledore was really dead. Harry wished that he could've prevented it somehow. It had happened right before his eyes and he couldn't prevent it. Snape and the Death Eaters escaped, and now he was quite upset that he couldn't stop them. If he couldn't stop two people from escaping, what chance did he have at defeating Voldemort?
Dumbledore had left him a way to get in contact with Hogwarts, but he wasn't sure if he should use it, as it could fall in the wrong hands and put him in danger. He would miss Ginny most of all, then Neville and Luna, and then the rest of the DA. But he was going after Voldemort, if he came out in a place that was safe, he'd always have a safe place to retreat to if he needed. That would be nice.
Harry was currently in the Astronomy Tower looking down at the ground of Hogwarts, wishing that this would not be the last time he could see them. Right where he was standing was where Dumbledore was killed in cold blood, by none other than Severus Snape. Harry looked away from the view of Hogwarts and looked at the place where Snape had killed Dumbledore. This was the last thing Dumbledore saw. He closed his eyes and envisioned how Snape had looked and everyone around him. And a flash of green before blackness. Dumbledore.... what had you planned? Why did Snape kill you?

Ana had only just recently arrived at the school, barely in time to pay her respects to Dumbledore. She was fresh from the war front back in Italy, having been in charge of holding Bari for the past year. How odd, to be back in school nearly two years after her initial graduation. She hadn't realized that the British remained in school until they were seventeen. Then again, she'd been working and training to take over her grandmother's council seat since she could speak. There were a lot of things that she didn't realize.
Wanting to have a little time alone before she had to be present at a war council, she'd decided to retreat to the school's Astronomy Tower. Most people had been avoiding it since Dumbledore died, so she figured that she would be left alone. Of course, she was wrong; there was a boy already there. The oh-so-infamous Harry Potter, perhaps? Draco spoke of him in letters as though he were lower than dirt. She'd always wondered, though...
"Ah...hello," she said softly.

Harry quickly whipped around when he heard someone come from behind him. He almost pulled his wand out, but that wouldn't be a very good way to start off and get a potential ally on his side. Then again, Harry didn't know anything about Curia coming to Hogwarts. It was his last day here at Hogwarts; Harry assured himself that he would probably never come back again. Harry didn't recognize this student, and figured she was new or something.
"Hello," Harry replied before looking back over to the window. Oh great job, you're trying to see if she would be an ally, as you need as many as you can get, and all you come up with is 'Hello'. Great job Harry.
Harry hoped that she wasn't one of those people who came to him to taunt him or get all fangirl on him because he was Harry Potter. It wasn't like he was all that special anyways. He was just a boy who was forced into fighting against Voldemort ever since he came to Hogwarts.

Oh...well, he seemed paranoid. She was a little freaked out for a moment, but she reminded herself that she was probably just as bad. War made a person paranoid where they wouldn't have been before. She only hoped that when, and if, everything ended, he would still be able to eventually lead a normal, happy life. God knows she probably wouldn't, but she sincerely hoped that he could. He looked like someone life hadn't been nice to.
"I'm Ana Malfoy," she introduced herself, wincing at the last name. She'd been told to use it instead of Salvatore, but she wished that she could use her own name. The Malfoys had done a lot of things that she wasn't proud of. "It's nice to meet you."

"Malfoy," Harry muttered. He crossed his arms and looked towards the tomb of Dumbledore, "I suppose you're related to Draco."
There wasn't going to be a chance to win her over. He was sure that Draco would have told her all about how terrible he was. He bet that she was raised by parents just like Draco's and didn't give a damn about muggles and muggleborns. Ok, that was a little prejudice, but that was just how Harry really felt. He still had told Ginny to watch over that one Slytherin in Dumbledore's Army.

"My first cousin, unfortunately," she replied. "My uncle's views do not reflect on the entire family's, by the way; you could at least tell me your name."
He was being extremely rude...she hadn't even done anything to him. She could tell from his reaction to her name that he knew her cousin, though. Might he be the infamous Harry Potter? She'd never actually seen him, so she didn't know him from a can of paint. She knew that Draco hated him, but Draco hated a good many people; she'd stopped putting stock in who her cousin liked or disliked years ago.

"I thought Draco would have told you so much about me already. I'm Harry Potter," Harry said with a sigh.
She hadn't done anything to him, but he couldn't get past the fact she was a Malfoy. He supposed her father, who apparently was Lucius' brother or something like that, could be like Sirius was with his family. The only thing was that every single Malfoy he had met was vile and cruel. Lucius was an evil git, and Draco was like a little Lucius. He didn't like the Malfoys, and from experience, none of them were any good. Narcissa had abandoned Andromeda when she married a muggleborn, oh gasp, so bad. Andromeda and her family and Sirius were the only good ones in that family that he had known. Maybe this girl could be added to that list of good people, but he couldn't even get past his prejudice towards the Malfoys because Draco was a right foul git to him and bullied him all his years at Hogwarts.

"Draco and I aren't exactly on speaking terms right now," she admitted. "And I stopped putting stock in who he likes and dislikes years ago; he and Uncle Lucius dislike most people."
Oh, so he was Harry Potter. That was interesting. Despite his rudeness, he seemed to be a decent sort of person. She hoped that he could get past that predjudice he seemed to hold towards her family, though; they weren't all like her uncle and his family. Her father had been disowned by his family a few years before because of his disagreeing with them. Ana herself hadn't been on speaking terms with Draco, who she'd once countd as her closest friend, since his fourth year at Hogwarts. They'd disagreed on too much.

"Well, at least there's that. Draco's just as biased as Voldemort," Harry grumbled, "I'm sorry I probably seem rude. It's just that your cousin was part of the Death Eater team who came to kill Dumbledore. In fact, he was the one who planned it, put into action and led it."
Sure, Snape was the one who killed Dumbledore (that traitorous bastard), but it was Draco who lead all of the Death Eaters into Hogwarts, went up to the Astronomy Tower and almost killed Dumbledore himself. Harry knew he was being unfair with treating this girl like she was Draco (though if she was Draco he might be attacking her and trying to kill her right now).

"Biased isn't the correct word for what my cousin is," she deadpanned. "Predjudiced, narrow-minded git describes him much more accurately. I knew that he was involved with the Death Eaters, but not that they were planning to kill Dumbledore. He was a great man...I'm terribly sorry, on behalf of my family even though they don't care, that he died. I would deal with Draco, but I don't think I'm very welcome at Malfoy Manor right now."
Partly because Lucius was probably furious with her for losing contact with them, and Narcissa was probably worried that she was dead, but she didn't want to talk to them at the moment. Not with how things stood between her and Draco. Maybe one day, she'd be able to reconcile her differences with them, but not at the moment. Not for a while.

"Can't agree with you more, though I would have said Prejudiced, narrow-minded ferret, myself, if we're talking like that. I didn't want to offend you by insulting Draco, just in case," Harry said with a small smile, before his expression hardened, "Dumbledore was a great man. Really, you don't need to apologize, it wasn't you who did it all, it was the Malfoys I know."
He actually was trying his best, even if he didn't really sound like it, to be nice. He had just gotten over the shock of Dumbledore dying, Snape being the one who killed the man, and the fact that the locket was a fake. He was quite furious that Dumbledore weakened himself for nothing. Just a stupid fake locket that had no value, besides finding out who the hell was R.A.B.

"Ferret...? I guess he does look a lot like one, doesn't he? And, anyway, like I said, he and I aren't on speaking terms at the moment. If he saw me right now, we'd probably try to kill each other," she admitted. "And even if it wasn't me, they're my family, much as I wish they weren't at the moment, and I'm partially guilty for whatever they do. I'll be blamed for it just as much as they are, at any rate."
She could tell that he was really trying to not be a total and complete prick like that Percy guy that had been carrying messages between her and the Ministry in the past few weeks. She appreciated that much; most people weren't so accepting after hearing her assumed name. It made her miss being Anabelle Salvatore. She'd known when she agreed to go by Ana Malfoy that she would be dealing with this, though; she could deal with it.

"Oh yes, very much so. He's a little bouncy as well," Harry said with a small laugh at the very old memory. It still cheered him up even if it was a Death Eater who did that to Draco. It just showed Draco that even the Death Eaters hated him... well... sort of. "I'd probably try to kill him to if he showed his face here again," Harry replied reaching into his pocket and pulling out the locket, keeping it clenched in his hand so one couldn't really see he was holding it, "I guess I won't convince you otherwise, but really, I don't see you or your family really at fault. It was the work of one individual, and you shouldn't be judged for that."
Harry really only blamed Snape and Draco for Dumbledore's death, Greyback for Bill's scars, and the Death Eaters who were there for the injuries that were sustained. While Harry wished he could take out his frustrations towards Draco on Ana, he really knew that it wouldn't be fair.

"Bouncy? I don't think I've heard that story," she noted with a short laugh. "The issues between Draco and I are long-standing; I think he'd try to kill me just as much as I'd try to kill him. As for whether I should be judged based on my family's actions...I will, anyway. I transferred to Hogwarts knowing that whatever crimes my father's family commits will fall on my shoulders, as well. I fully accept the guilt."
She should have done something to try to prevent Draco joining the Death Eaters before it became too late. She was just as guilty for it as her uncle Lucius was for allowing it. She had long-since accepted that fact, and she therefore just allowed whatever blame got placed on her for her family's actions.

"It's just something that happened in our fourth year. Draco was going to attack me behind my back, a professor, and a quite crazy one I might add, turned him into a ferret and bounced him around. It was amazingly funny," Harry explained, though he only chuckled, he wasn't really in the mood for funny right now, even if it was still quite funny to even remember back to, "What issues would that be? Sorry if I sound nosy, but I'm just curious. You shouldn't have to accept the guilt, it really shouldn't be your responsibility to shoulder it."
Harry knew that she probably couldn't have prevented any of it. Draco's father was actually encouraging him, from what he could tell, and it was Lucius' fault for failing to secure the prophecy, and so it was punishment for that failure that Draco had to be assigned to kill Dumbledore. It all came down to Draco's father. Harry could tell from the way that Draco was acting, he didn't want to do it, but felt he had to. Draco really became a wreck when he was forced to join the Death Eaters.
