"Sounds it! That was around the time that he and I stopped being on speaking terms, so I suppose that's why he never told me himself. We were very close, at one time," she added sadly. "But he and I don't agree on a lot of things. It didn't get bad until we were fourteen; we got into a huge argument over my stance on Voldemort and the Death Eaters and haven't met on even civil terms since. And call it blood guilt, but I feel like I could have done more to keep Draco from making a lot of the choices he has. Whatever he does is at least partially my fault."
The Draco she remembered could be a real prat, and he said and did some stupid things, but he wouldn't have become a Death Eater. She didn't know her cousin as well as she once did, she decided. That didn't mean she could, literally, let him get away with murder, though. She'd come to Hogwarts instead of laying low like Shayne had suggested to deal with Draco, and she would.

"Really, I actually think that it was his father who pushed him becoming a Death Eater. Last time I saw him he looked really stressed and scared. I don't think he really wanted to kill Dumbledore," Harry sighed shaking his head, "I don't know how you could've convinced him. His father failed Voldemort, and as punishment, Voldemort used his fear to control Draco into doing his bidding."
Harry wouldn't have done that, but he was Draco. When he had thought everything through, he sort of understood where Draco was coming from. He didn't agree with it, though.

"Uncle Lucius...I'll deal with him later," she grumbled under her breath. "He sent a Howler to my father a few weeks ago; Dad's still upset over it. And the Draco I remember wouldn't have ever killed anyone, but he's clearly not the Draco I remember anymore."
Maybe that was the most painful part of it. She no longer knew the boy that had once been her closest friend. Honestly, the blame fell on both of them; they'd been so busy with the affairs of their individual nations, but she would shoulder most of it. She always did.

"Give him the worst, ok?" Harry replied really hating Lucius, and disliking Draco. The fact he had been downgraded to dislike as the adjective about how much Harry didn't like him was a big step. "Personally, I haven't seen any change in him, but that could be because he hates me."
Harry was certain that at first it was because he was jealous and Harry wouldn't be his friend and follow the ways he wanted him to. Harry didn't like him from the moment he met him. But that didn't mean he wouldn't feel bad for him and the things he is pretty much forced to do.

"Oh, I intend to," she replied darkly. There had been a time where she'd loved Lucius; that had been a long time ago. She didn't think that their families would ever reconcile their differences. "And people are generally different with their families, si?"
It was true that Draco had been jealous of Harry and annoyed with him at first, but for a little while, it had seemed like he was more envious of the freedoms Harry had that Draco and Ana never did than anything. She guessed that it wasn't that way anymore.

"Good," Harry said, "Unless I get to them first. I'll be a little more occupied than most next year though." Harry really wished he could get back at the Malfoys, not Ana here, or her side of the family as they never really wronged him before. But next year he was going to be busy not at school hunting horcruxes. "That's true I suppose. I wouldn't really know because I don't really have much of a family and those I consider close to family haven't really changed over the years... well besides Percy, the prat."
Harry really had a hard even now accepting that the Weasleys were like family to him. He loved them like family, but they really weren't actual family, at least not yet. If he and Ginny were to marry after this war, then they really would be family, but for now, Harry couldn't keep himself from thinking that they weren't actually family.

"Oh, I can deal with my family, have no fear," she reassured him. "I'm not above breaking Draco's wand arm...again. Long story. And you know Percy Weasley?! I hate him!"
Percy was in a perpetual state of "accidentally" forgetting to deliver all of the paperwork Ana needed to complete. She was about to hex his nose off, literally, to see if that would help him remember better! Stupid little self-righteous prick...

"I think that story might be entertaining," Harry said with a small snicker, before adding, "Oh yeah, I'm best friends with his brother. That little prick called Dumbledore a crazy man who wanted to take over the Ministry, called me a liar for saying Voldemort was back, and abandoned his whole family."
The whole story with Percy really was infuriating. Percy had changed so much other years, but the others didn't that much. Percy used to be a proud prefect who loved his family and now he was just an idiot who didn't give a flying leap about his family, at least it seemed that way.

"I'll tell it to you some other time," she promised with a laugh. "And I know how he can be! I work in the Italian Consulate with that git! He shorts us on paperwork, the little bastard."
She wanted to beat the living hell out of Percy. She would beat the living hell out of Percy if there weren't always witnesses. As it stood, she'd thrown so many things at his stupid carrot-head that she didn't know how he hadn't sustained a concussion, yet. Maybe he had and she just hadn't paid attention; she probably wouldn't have cared, regardless.

"Ok," Harry said with a smile, tucking the locket back in his pocket, as it actually seemed to give him a little strength when holding the fake because it was as if it was a little piece of Dumbledore with him, "He's such a git all the time. But you know, he is sort of like family to me, and I'm really just hoping he'll stop being such a Ministry-loving, family-disowning, power-hungry moron."
The thing with Percy was that Harry really did love him just as much as the other Weasleys, like he was almost his own brother. When he had heard what Percy had done to the Weasleys he felt betrayed himself, and just hoped that Percy would just come to his senses.

"I could punch him in the head," she volunteered. "Maybe it'd knock something straight in his mind."
She was kind of old-school Italian, so she believed that there wasn't much a good smack to the head couldn't fix. She was certain that Percy just needed someone to literally slap sense into him, and then he'd be fine! Because, in her experience, people like him were totally okay once somebody smacked him a good one.

"That would be great to see," Harry said with a very small laugh, "Though I doubt it would do that much to convince him otherwise."
Harry was sure that if someone tried to hurt 'Precious Percy' he would make an inquiry with the Ministry, and because he was just that precious, Weatherby would somehow get the one who hurt him in trouble. If he had that much power, which he doubted. Harry bet that when Voldemort would take over the ministry, which Harry had an itching feeling that it would be within the next two years or so, they would see Percy as the perfect spy on his family. The idiot.

"Oh, you never know how much good a knock upaise the head can do. I sincerely doubt that much could be done about me being the one that knocked him upside the head, anyway," she noted with a shrug.
She had diplomatic immunity while in England so long as the way things were stood. It had been set in stone years ago; the Ministry just hadn't ever had the guts to bother the Curia. That was probably wise on their accounts. The Curia's Council tended to be old-school, and they weren't known for their tolerance of nonsense. With a nation like Italy as your responsibility, it was understandable. There really was no time for nonsense in the lives of the Council. They were busy enough as it was without any added annoyances...like Percy Weasley, the little git.

"Do you have some sort of immunity, or something?" Harry asked curiously, before quickly adding, "Sorry, you don't have to answer, I understand if it is something personal."
Harry didn't know any of the customs of those from other countries. He was more busy with dealing with things in England here to pay much attention. For someone like him, he hoped that it was a good enough of an excuse to not know, with all that had happened to him. Harry didn't know if he could offend someone from elsewhere by asking things like he did, or what. Why did he have to be so clueless? Though the more clueless he was, it meant he had more time to focus on other things instead of learning that of which he was clueless of.

"Oh, no it's fine! Ask anything you like. And si, I have diplomatic immunity here," she explained. "While I work in the consulate, at least. Percy has this irritating habit of withholding paperwork because he thinks it's funny...I don't. I think it's annoying, and he needs to stop before I smack him! Where I'm from, things get thrown at annoying interns..."
She scowled darkly as her sentence finished, crossing her arms across her chest. She was really fed up with Percy Weasley and his antics at the consulate; she wasn't fond of practical jokes while she was working. They were only funny after everything was finished with. Furthermore, her accent was not weird, and she didn't need to take her damned pain meds!
