Ah, finally graduation took place. He was happy to be on his own finally. The only thing he regretted was he wouldn't be able to see Lily... so that he could use her for information... yeah.... that's right. He assured himself of that fact so he didn't get sucked into the 'dumb idiot in love' category. He didn't love her... right?
Everard banished those thoughts from his head as as apparated to the ministry. This was his first day as an Auror in training. Apparently in this time he was the first in a long while to be accepted into training. He was a very good fighter and pretty good at stealth.
While he did supported Voldemort, he didn't join the Aurors to get on his good side. No, it was because this was what he wanted to be. Catching those who broke the law. If he was a muggle he'd be a police officer. And something about those stories of the great exploits of the Aurors probably influenced it a bit. In fact he learned from Lily the stories of Nymphadora Tonks and Mad-Eye Moody, as they were not mentioned in their lessons at school for their opposition to Voldemort. While he didn't like the fact they were Order supporters, he really loved their stories and their abilities. They were some great stories.
Everard walked around the Atrium, having a bit of time to kill before his instructor would arrive. He didn't know who he was going to be under while he was in training. Really it just meant he would help his instructor with jobs, and then after about 3 years he would take the Auror tests. He hoped his instructor wouldn't stick him with paperwork.
