"Sorry," Jake apologized with a smile, "I will try my best." Phineas was all show to Jake, so he didn't worry about him too much. At least, Jake saw him as all show. Sure, Phineas had thrown a few torture curses, and a few punches, but he hadn't ever really injured anyone badly, that Jake knew about at least. Jake knew that Phineas knew that he was slightly different than Voldemort, and preferred the more... violent things to be done away from him. Phineas didn't realize, however, that he had hated everything Death Eater, including even the less violent things.
"I wish the Dragon's Fire would just burn out," Jake sighed shaking his head. The whole group was stupid to Jake. Though it was a lot like the DA would be the next year, just for the flip side of the coin. The Dragon's Fire was a little group for those who would become Death Eaters after graduation. Since Phineas was the one who created it, Jake was thankfully left out of some of it. He was still attending meetings, as he was 'the next Dark Lord' they would follow. At least then he didn't have to be a part of the group, and yet he could give anything important that they did over to the Resistance, or in this time, the Order.
"Actually..." Jake said rubbing the back of his neck slightly with a smile, "I almost fell in one the other day. I'm fine though, some teacher came and saved me."

"I actually...heard something interesting," she admitted. "You know the Curia? They stayed out of everything, and they somehow got away with it? Well...I saw some of their bodyguards, the Cavaliere, during the battle, und now I'm hearing whispers about a Treaty between them und the Ministry. The residents of Knockturn Alley told me that they saw the Crest of Rome over the Salla de Fenice. The Curia haven't been in that place since the London Blitz. I think...things are changing. The Curia didn't interfere the first time."
The Crest of Rome, as non-Italians called it, was the Curia's coat of arms. Harper had only seen it once, during a skirmish on the Italian border. Both sides had stood down and moved their fight elsewhere after seeing it. The Curia were a mystery to her, honestly. Even in the future, there had been whispers about them, rumors, but nothing concrete. They'd once sent aid to the Resistance in the form of a group of Cavaliere that had proven to be fierce on the battlefield bit had been forced to leave them once the group strayed too far from Italy.
"Eventually, they will. They have to. Patience is key...no matter how hard it is to have," she grumbled.
Her eye twigged disbelievingly when he admitted to have nearly fallen on a beehive. That was...she couldn't even think of words. He was just mind of spacey sometimes, and it scared her.
"You're....a little bit of a clutz," she sighed.

"I dunno if that's a good thing or a bad thing," Jake said looking around, overly-careful to be sure they wouldn't be caught, even by Mr. Filch because that might end badly, "The ministry is going to fall soon, right? Would they side with Voldemort or the Order? Siding with the Ministry would be just like siding eith Voldemort." They didn't need any more people to fight against. Curia was slightly worrying, as they weren't the best friends with England... Well not really friends at all.
He knew Curia, at least a little bit. His mother mentioned it once in the future as one of the organizations they needed to take down. Jake did a little checking up on it and found out several interesting things, but otherwise he didn't knkw much else about it. Them coming here meant things must be terribly bad, worse than last time.
"It's been years, I really am running low on patience regarding them. But don't worry, I won't blow my cover, at least for now," Jake said. He had a feeling that Phineas was starting to catch on ever so slightly. Jake had never hurt anyone badly in front if him. He might have to in order to keep his cover, soon.
"I know I am," Jake said with an innocent smile.

"Publically, they've made a treaty with the Ministry that sealed the peace between England and Italy. Behind closed doors, though, they've been seen working in conjunction with the Order," she replied. "So it's looking like a good thing."
She'd been similarly worried when she'd discovered the Curia's renewed presence in England. It had taken a considerable amount of snooping around to discover their true intentions, but she would be lying of she said they made her unhappy, but...that other piece of intel...
"Don't get too happy, though," she warned him. "Remember that there's that group that tries to undermine the Curia? Well, they've sold their services to Voldemort."
The clashes betwen the Curia and the Cavallaria were infamously bloody. The fact that their new civil war was goin to be occurring in conjunction with the war that was being fought in England was a chilling thought. She really hoped that it didn't make things worse than last time...

"Well at least there's that," Jake said with a smile. And the information Harper got was usually quite good, so he definitely trusted it. If they were working the Order, then it was a good thing right? Jake didn't count of Curia bringing along their enemies with them.
That wasn't good news. The group who sold their services to Voldemort. With every good thing, there must be a cost. It seemed that with everything there was a cost. Death Eater and Order people came back, and the Curia and their enemies came over. It might be a bloodier war than it was before... he wasn't sure if that would be better.
"Crap." Jake said simply, "Why must there always be someone to counter every good thing?"

"There are rumors of the Germans and the Japanese sending support for their allies. Muggles are quick to abandon worthwhile alliances; wizards aren't," she added.
Maybe the Germans and the Japanese would counter-balance the Auditore. They had enemies, sure, but not like the Curia. There were very few who had enemies like the Curia. Harper was, admittedly, worried about fighting the Auditore. Not many wizards outside of the former Axis Powers were capable of wielding a sword or shooting a gun. It was shaping up into a bloody conflict. One that had already seen two major battles and several skirmishes.
"Murphy's Law?" she suggested in response to his question .

"Well that's pretty good. I mean, even if it seems most major powers are joining in. I'm a little worried if the United States joins in, it might blow our cover," Jake replied with a sigh. At least there were others joining in. There were of course many powers in the world, and if too many more joined in, it could be a bigger war than it ever had been.
Actually, it was almost worrying that if Voldemort died, his mother or some other Death Eater would take control. If at the Battle of Hogwarts Voldemort would die, then maybe it would continue after that too. That was worrying. But he shouldn't worry, it wasn't good for him. Plus that was Harp's job.
"Well let's just hope that everything goes wrong for the other side too," Jake said with a smile.
