Mary Anne was sitting outside Mr. Greene's appartment while he talked with one of his coustomers. Apperently there was some big deal about his land that he didn't want to make. Mary, while sitting on the bench, noticed it start to snow. She looked up at the sky and smiled. She liked the winter time, the snow was just, so pretty. She started to sing, Where are you Christmas? Why can't I find you? Why have you gone away? Where is the laughter, You used to bring me? Why can't I hear music play?
My world is changing, I'm rearranging, Does that mean Christmas changes, too?
Where are you Christmas? Do you remember, The one you used to know? I'm not the same one, See what the times done? Is that why you have let me go? Her high pitched voice made it sound like she was singing for a reason. She didn't really know why she was though, the words just kind of slipped out. I feel you Christmas, I know I found you. You never went away. The joy of Christmas, Stays here inside us, In each and everyone, With love. Mary started to cough slightly. Cold air and asthma didn't work so well together.

Felix was walking down the street, happily, nearly prancing. Sure he had stayed at the school for Christmas break, but hey, it didn't mean he would be locked up in the castle all day, right? If everyone thought that was how it was going to go, then they were sorely mistaken.
Felix was just minding his own business, headed down Hogsmeade's street, wanting to walk around in the beautifully cold air, his final stop being the Shrieking Shack where he would look at the building and think of ways that it was haunted, or making up his own story about what really happened there. However, this minding his own business was gone, when he heard someone singing. Curious, as it did sound like a little girl singing all alone, Felix looked around for whoever was singing before spotting a cute little kid.
"That was AMAZING!" Felix said happily exclaimed, "How are you? Oh, my name is Felix Williams, a pleasure to hear you sing!"

Mary looked up, terrified. She didn't think anyone was going to come down the road. Especially someone from the school. Mr. Greene had said that there were people at the school who would be making sure students did not leave.
When he had exclaimed, she shrunk down, didn't want to be seen at all.
"You're scary!" she curled up into a ball and hid her face, "Stranger danger!!"

Felix almost was surprised with her reaction and went into 'I'm not crazy, just weird mode' where he tried to make people not think he was crazy, just weird.
"I'm sorry!" Felix exclaimed before clearing his throat and lowering his level of voice, "I mean, I'm sorry. I just thought you were singing well! And yeah, that's about it." He didn't really have another explanation.

Mary stood up and almost ran off, but she had no where to go. Mr. Greene was busy. Where could she go?
"Stay away, I'm not supposed to talk to strangers... and if... if you don't leave me alone, I'll call my snake friends and they'll bite you." she started to back up. "Wait you thought my singing was good? Really? I don't think I can sing at all. I'm Mary."

Felix was starting to be a little freaked out with such a reaction. Sure he half-expected it, since he was really loud, and really creepy. He was a 15 year old talking with a 7 year old kid! He just wanted to make a new friend. It turned out that most people thought he was too crazy, and so he didn't have THAT many friends.
"I'm sooooooo sorry! I don't want any snake-y friends to bite me! I'll blow up from their venom and it'll make my face look ugly!" Felix insisted, trying to lower his volume, but failing somewhat, "Yeah! I loved it! You are a great singer Mary! See, now we're not strangers, now we know each other! See, I'm not a stranger anymore!"

"I've been talking to the snakes, they said they had to go though because it was getting too cold for them to stay." Mary nodded. "Why would you blow up? Blowing ups not fun. I get puffy when I haven't used my breathing machine. Mr. Greene says it's because I'm agerlic to the air when I haven't used it."
She chuckled when he said she was great and when he started to be weird, "You're funny mr. Felix! And I'm not a good singer, I'm a horse rider. We don't sing, we ride!" she spun on her heel with her arms out. She really loved her horses.
