Molly Marie Weasley
48 . Gryffindor Alumni
“I dare say that you have a house hold name,
but for our new readers, will you inform us once
more what your parents named you?”
My current name is Molly Marie Weasley, though it used to be
Molly Marie Prewett before I married Arthur. I do like my name
as it possesses that mix of softness and strength that has
everything to do with who I am.
“Remind us again when you were born? I can
never get enough of the story surrounding
your birth.”
I was born on the 30th October of 1949, just one day before
Halloween. It was a Sunday. Though nothing very important
happened that day for what I know.
“Okay, be honest here. Which are you into
more: guys or dolls? Don't worry, our lips
are sealed.”
Well… Guys, off course! I'm a very well married woman, thank you!
“Alright, on to the good stuff. What do you do
in your spare time? Any favorite past times?”
Don't everyone? Well… Let me think… They'd be cooking and taking
care of the house. My family says I'm fairly good at it and I say it's putting
love into it that makes all the difference. I also like to talk to interesting
people and read the wizarding newspapers to get to know what's been
happening in the world. I guess the last would be managing our pets.
Can you imagine the work? But I like it anyway…
“Tell me: what are your favorite things in the
entire world? Those special things that just
make you want to smile?”
I love to spend time with my family, though sometimes
it's difficult to get everyone together. It's 9 people after all
between me, my husband and our children. Not to mention
the girlfriends of some of my sons now. Let's not get into that, OK?
I also enjoy welcoming my children's friends here at home as I like
most of them. I really like Harry Potter, whose loneliness just sparked
my motherly instinct from the first moment I saw him at King's Cross. Poor boy!
Our pets. I specially love my owl, Ali. I have her for like 12 years already.
Last but not least I like cakes, especially cooking them for my kids and
sometimes their friends.
“And sadly we all know that there are things
that we just can't stand. What are yours?”
I detest misbehavior, so you see a have a problem with my twins occasionally
over that and Ron too. I also dislike seeing my family in conflict as when Percy
walked away from us and refused my approach. I also used to dislike some of
my sons' girlfriends, but they have eventually grown on me. This was specially
true with Fleur Delacour. Fleur Weasley now, sorry. Irresponsibility, specially
when coming from my children. I didn't raise them like that. What's up with Fred
being a father before his marriage? These kids of mine sometimes seem to have
nothing in their heads!… Last but not least, I just abhor pureblood supremacists,
Death Eaters and Voldemort.
“Any short or long term goals? Where do
you see yourself five years? In ten? How
do you plan to get there?”
For the future, I want to see my family together and whole for years to come.
I also want Voldemort to pay for his crimes. He did order his followers to brutally
kill my brothers near the end of the First Wizarding War and I haven't forgotten that.
I want to see some of my grandchildren and for them to be born in a better world.
This is what I fight for now as an active member of the Order of The Phoenix.
“What makes you quake in your boots?
If you had to pick one thing that scared
you the most, what would it be?”
The thing that scares me the most is death, not mine, mind you, but those of my
husband, children and Harry, who is also like a son to me.
“Is there a significant other in your life? How
do you do with relationships?”
Sure. I have my long time husband Arthur Weasley, whom I still adore. So… I
guess I do well at long term relationships, specially after 7 raised children and
30 years of happy marriage.
“Now, you know that we adore you, but let's
talk about some other people for a little bit. A
little bird told me that you have some pretty
well known parents. Who are they?”
My mother was Sarah Janet Prewett, she was a housewife like myself until
she died of unhappiness after dad died about ten years ago in 1987.
My father was Sigmund Joseph Prewett, he was an obliviator of great fame
before his retirement, which happened when my brothers were killed. He
erased his own memory of the fact and then kept asking mum and I where
Gideon and Fabian were and why they never visited them anymore until he
died five years after that horrible day in 1986.
“Any other important people in your family?
Did you parents have any other children?”
I used to have two twin brothers, Gideon and Fabian Prewett, who were killed by
Death Eaters near the end of the First Wizarding War. That horrible man Antonin
Dolohov was one of them. Had they lived, they'd be 45 years old today.
That Harrison Prewett guy and his kids remind me of them and the families they
could have had by now. True, it's more because of their surname than any physical
resemblance. It hurts to remember how they where taken away, but I do love my
brothers and have very fond memories of them I keep as treasures of my own.
I gave Fabian's watch to Harry not long ago. I think it's something he would've liked
me to do. I also gave my brothers' names to my own twins as middle names. I'm so
glad Arthur agreed to do that when little George and Fred were born.
“How about pets? How many do you have?”
In the household? Too many to tell. That even included a traitor animagus for a while.
That rat, ate of my food and surrounded my dear Ronny for so long. Just mine? Ali,
my owl, she is 12 years old and almost going the poor thing, but I really like her a lot
and will miss her when she finally makes her last flight.
“Okay, you have to have known that we were
going to ask. What's your biggest and best
kept secret? I won't tell.”
I'm not one to have secrets, but I guess many people underestimate me due to my
choice to dedicate my life to my family, especially after loosing my brothers. The
Death Eaters think I didn't participate in the First War because I was weaker than
my brothers, but just let any of them touch my children for them to see how good
a witch I really am.
“Ok, so who are you loyal to? Dumbledore's
Army, The Dragon's Fire, The Order of the Phoenix,
The Death Eaters, or none of them?”
I'm loyal to Dumbledore's vision and active member of the reorganized Order
of The Phoenix. I do side with them because their ideals and goals are the same
as mine and my family's.
“Interesting! Now finally, the last question.
What time are you from, Harry's or James'?”
I guess I should say both? I did know James Potter, that troublemaker. Poor man and
Lily too. Though I guess the right answer would be Harry's right now, right? I'm actually
intrigued by this question… Is there something I don't know?
Hey there HOMETOWN GLORY?! My name is Marbys and I've
been roleplaying for 16 years. I'm 29 years
old and I found you through Other played characters. If you need to hit me up,
you know you can always reach me through PM or Cbox.
As you can see, I enjoy using Julie Walters as a play-by.
