Lianna was actually missing school currently. She just didn't want to go for one thing another, it was almost valentines day and there was no way she was missing that. She sat in one of the chairs in the main room of the Salla, she'd been reading and had fallen asleep. The book was in her lap, her hands covering the title and her head was on her shoulder. After working on paperwork late into the night and only sleeping for three or four hours a night for a few weeks, she was exausted. After the failed attempt at spending the entirety of Christmas with Leo, she was determined to spend Valentines day with him. It had almost been five years that they'd been together and she would be done after this year since she would not be coming back for a seventh year.
She almost fell over and woke herself up in the process. The only bad thing about leaving for a while was dealing with Brooke when she wasn't working. She would often come down and boast about her wedding which was, funny enough, scheduled for the fourteenth of Febuary. After thinking about when Leo was going to propose, she'd psych herself out and say he'd chicken out. She'd say he was always traveling and didn't have time to settle down being who he was anyway. Lianna had pretty much given up hope on the matter.

Leo opened the door of the Salla carefully; if anyone was asleep and he woke them up, there would be hell to pay. Especially if it was Marcus. Christ in Heaven, that man got snippy when he was woken up.
He found Lia in her favorite chair, book in her lap, and quickly hid the little velvet box in his hand. He leaned against the doorframe with a little smile.
"Hello, my love," he called.

"I was just about asleep again.." Lianna said opening her eyes. She sat up fully and turned around. She was still in a slightly sleepy daze from the look of her eyes and she'd dropped her book again. She bent down to grab it and shook her head. She placed it on the arm of the chair and stood up. "Brooke is really starting to annoy me again." She then stated in a mock voice, "I'm so pretty and everyone loves me. And I don't care who you are your going to my wedding." She coughed, "Whatever."
She rubbed her eyes and stumbled. The bad thing about standing up to fast. "Dizzy." She muttered and shook her head again. She walked up to him and gave him a hug, "where've you been?"

"Now, now, Lia," he chuckled. "If you keep talking like that, people will think that you're bitter. Aren't you happy that I'm home in time for San Valentino?"
He was just teasing; he was sure that she knew as much, though. At least, he hoped that she did, or things could become a little awkward. He was usually joking...what if that joke ruined his plan? Not again. It had been foiled not once, not twice, four times. Four.
He wrapped an arm around her waist and kissed the top of her head when she hugged him. He'd missed Lia; he always did, even when she was infuriating. That was often, but he loved her regardless.
"Where've I been? Everywhere. This time, though, Syracuse. Boss's orders," he added, referring to Rafiel. Lia hated sending him to the capitol of the Auditore-controlled Sicilly, so he usually didn't tell her that he was going there until he got home. She was usually less angry that way.

"If I'm a bitter old woman that makes you a dying old man." Lianna chuckled. "I'm very happy. Probably going to get cursed for being gone from school. Seven. Seven different boys asked me to be their valentine. They had no written on their faces." She took a step back to make sure there was nothing bruised and broken. She was always worried, it was a side effect of being a long term girlfriend.
She moved her hair behind her ears and adjusted her headband. After finishing her inspection, she hugged him again and closed her eyes. Part if her wanted to ask if he'd brought anything back at least, but the rest of her just said to enjoy the moment and ask later. They'd gone on four dates in the past few months and each time she felt something was missing. Another reason she decided to give up on the question of engagement. She began to drift off again but caught herself. It was going to be time for another espresso soon. And with espresso... Came more work. Yay.
"How many times to I have to complain to him to make him stop sending you there. The Auditore are a horrible group, and you know how I feel about you having to work there." She shook her head, "I'm glad you're alive... Now come sit, I'm still sleepy. I didn't sleep much this week. Between you being gone, and me having to work, I don't think my body knew what sleep was. Coffee cup after espresso, after tea, after wine, the list goes on and on."
