Sub-Plot #7 - False Love and Hidden Secrets

Evelyn Baddock, Mildred Bletchely, Preston Macmillan, and Raymond Zabini are supposed to be best friends. They work together to pull pranks and spend spare time making each other laugh or sharing their secrets.

One day when they are all planning a new prank to pull on the potions professor, Raymond isn't acting as himself, and looks like he is down. Mildred Bletchley sees this, and approaches him. She asked to speak to him alone and her agrees. Once she had him cornered she asks him what is wrong and he tells her that he's in love with Evelyn. Earlier Raymond had tried to ask her out, but she interrupted and changed the subject before leaving quickly. Evelyn only wanted to be friends and didn't want to ruin it in any way. Plus Evelyn had noticed the Dragon Fire tatoo on his arm, although she promised not to tell.

Mildred listened to his story and tell Raymond that they can work together to make her jealous. So they pretend to be in love whenever they are around Evelyn, but Evelyn just seems happy for them, because she has her own little dirty little secret.

Evelyn and is secretly dating Preston, and that's why she changed the subject Raymond when he asked her out. She loves Preston but they dont want the other to know because they dont want any of the group to get jealous.
