Phineas was bored. Classes were over for the day, and they hadn't learned ANY dark arts yet. It was much different from school before. It was less fun at least. They weren't even allowed to punish the detention getters with Crucio. That was really odd to Phin, since that was how school always had been. Until Voldemort fell, and Phineas didn't know how school would've been run since he showed up here. At least he didn't have to live without Voldemort just yet.
Phineas was thinking back to last year, or technically years from now. It seemed like just yesterday he was here petting Spot and feeding him some of his veggies he snuck out of the kitchens. Spot was the only creature besides wizards and witches he actually cared for. The centuars were driven out of the forest and hid out in the country; Phineas thought they were idiots anyways, and half-breeds.
At least this was his last year. He wouldn't have to deal with Potter directly, unless the Dark Lord ordered him to, but he would hinder Harry's progress as much as possible. Hopefully he wouldn't create the rebels, and the Dark Lord would live on forever. That would be great. Or at least if the Dark Lord died, put SOMEONE in charge and not let the idiot rebels take over. Phineas disliked that the Dark Lord didn't leave any government after he died.
Phineas was sitting with his back on a tree, looking out at a small clearing. It was quite nice to get some peace and quiet and not have to deal with Potter or someone like him for even just a second. Phin's leather jacket did well shielding him from the light breeze that blew slowly. Phineas peered at the light sneaking through the tree tops, smiling, feeling the light gave the atmosphere more peace.
Phineas had usually liked hanging around the Forbidden Forest, usually far in, but seeing as that was forbidden in this time, he was simply resting on the first tree, which was near a clearing, still creating his nice forest feeling. Phineas didn't like this time too much. He wasn't sure how his parents could stand living back in this time at all. All of these people were idiots, well some, especially these Gryffindors, which Phineas thought was extinct, since in his time there weren't houses really, just Slytherin mostly. If they were condemed to a house not Slytherin, their school life was hell, so Phineas really just thought they were a punishment, but that wasn't the same here. Some of them were friends, Huffles, Gryffins, Ravens, and Snakes, united slightly. Though the Slytherins were obviously suprior in Phin's mind.

Lilianna had no sense of fashion. She chose clothes and accessories by brightness, and anything that amused her was quickly added to her basket. She was denied nothing, because most things she wanted were cheap enough that her father could laugh at her strange taste and not worry about his wallet, unlike other teenage girls' parents. When she dressed, she didn't coordinate colours, or anything like that. She dressed for comfort, and wore whatever she felt like. She was commonly insulted and berated in turn for wearing green and purple together, or blue and red. She didn't care. Clothes were supposed to be fun, people just had no sense of humour these days.
On this particular day, after she had discarded her robes (almost the second after the last class bell had rung), she had revealed her outfit for the day. A green Kermit top, and extremely faded and worn jeans. Bought faded, wear had just made them even more so, and, having been in her possession for three years (she really hadn't grown very much since first year), they were ripped, but nowhere dangerous to her dignity... If she even had any. She wore chalkboard Converse on her feet, a pair of shoes that allowed her to draw on them time and again, and the oddest jewellery to grace Hogwarts (possibly even including Luna's parsnip earrings). She ran to the dorm to dump her robes and don an 'I <3 Dinosaurs' hoodie, and jogged back to dinner, free of baggage.
That was said in both the literal and metaphorical sense. Her oddities and strange behaviour, unpredictable moods and bizarre reactions to things seemed to put people off trying to befriend her, especially as most of her classmates were Ravenclaws, and therefore mostly bookish and quiet. It also seemed to ward off amorous behaviour, although that hadn't been her intention. Truth be told, she was starting to feel a little lonely, so in the spirit of the rebellious single woman (or soon to be woman, at any rate), she waited until the desserts disappeared from the plates, and then decided to stay out in the Grounds for as much of the night as she could until she got bored.
In the mood she was in, the first place she thought of to go to was the Forbidden Forest. She hadn't even reached Hagrid's hut when she saw a shape sat against a tree. A student. As she got closer, she noticed that he was around her age, dark, rather attracti---. Quickly, she cut off the thought as her eyes took in the badge on his robes through the veil of orange and yellow hair that was being blown into her eyes by the unrelenting wind. She stopped, mere feet away, and her voice carried easily. ”You're stupid.” Her tone was mild, and the insult was barely even that. It was said as a matter of fact, and she waited a few seconds for it to sink in before she elaborated. ”If you don't watch, the creatures from the Forest could drag you in.”

Phineas was having quite a great time... and then this girl's voice appears. She was quite insulting. Phineas' eyes wrentched open extremely angry at the insult and disruption of his peaceful time. What did she know anyways? Phineas had sat here many times, and even went in. He wasn't afraid of the Threstral, Centaurs, and other magical creatures that were in there. In fact he had hunted them at one point, though he never caught any. Threstrals and Unicorns were the only creatures he really liked from the forest. Especially those spiders were stupid.
"Ha, like they'll have the chance," Phin called back laughing as he said it, finding it really absurd. Stupid girl. He wouldn't doubt if she was a Ravenclaw, they always tried to spout idiotic things like this. Or a Hufflepuff. She definately wasn't Gryffindor, they were supposed to be brave, and she was standing quite far away from him and telling him to be careful. Ha. Like anything would happen to him. He was The Great Dragon's Fire leader afterall.
"You're a coward," Phineas countered back and then elaborated, copying her tone, "Can't even come near the trees. It's really a beautiful place."

Lilianna didn't really know what it was like to be afraid. She was scared of things, sure, but she so rarely encountered them that she never felt threatened, or inferior. Insults bounced off her, and most often, she laughed with those delivering them, perplexing them so much that they lost their train of thought and had to regroup. It wasn't her intention, by any means, but it was certainly a bonus, especially if it happened before she managed to get her morning coffee and cigarette in. She didn't smoke much, especially not at home, but when it was cold, or got near to exam times, it seemed to help. She didn't think she was addicted (yet) but she was fully aware that the opportunity was there, therefore she was very careful about when and where she lit up.
Lilianna skipped a few more steps forward, in order to initiate more civil conversation. Well, as civil as you could get with a Slytherin, anyway. The point was, she didn't want to have to shout over the wind, then risk being found out and sent back inside. That'd certainly put a dampener on her rebellious mood. Maybe. Or it might just make it worse. Shrugging her shoulders to rid herself of the train of thought, Lilianna shook her head at the boy. ”They're very sneaky, you know. They could be watching you right now...” She lowered her voice into creepy story telling mode, waggling her eyebrows in complete contrast to her tone, easily falling into her jesting persona. Whoever it was, wherever they were, she liked to make friends, and humour was the easiest way to do it. Usually.
”Pssh!” Lilianna snorted inelegantly, skipping forwards again to tag the tree next to his perch. ”Not so cowardly now, eh?” She bragged, flexing her pretend muscles, in complete disregard to the centuries of work the previous Ravenclaws had put into their reputation. ”Yeah. Beautiful in a creepy, typical Slytherin way, I guess.” She didn't really care that she was insulting him again. After all, people did it to her all the time, and she could see the funny side. Why shouldn't everyone else? ”Guess it makes sense that your common room's in the dungeon then.” She shrugged as if she hadn't really given it that much thought, which was true enough. Lilianna rarely thought about what was coming out of her mouth.

Wow. He really thought she was an idiot. She seemed to be picking a fight with him, though he doubted her true intentions were so, since he wasn't one to mess with, especially with the Slytherins at least if not specifically him. Typical... well every other house really. He really didn't get it. Usually people were too afraid to talk to him, or they were Slytherins, or they ended up his enemies, which was usually his Gryffindor 'buddies'. Phineas already had a somewhat of a track record and a name to some people. Making enemies and taking names one might say.
"You obviously underestimate me, I can hear is something's coming, if I don't I can always fight it off, I've been in there multiple times, it's not that scary," Phin replied, keeping his temper in check. He didn't want to make unnessecary enemies. Plus she might prove a good ally in the future.
"Says she who only comes after I insult her bravery," Phin replied, but then seriously said, "You haven't been in there have you? The unicorns, thestrals, the light perfecetion coming through the trees. Sure deep in the forest it isn't as beautiful, but near the entrance is just an amazing site to behold."
