During the time the rebels were fighting and trying to defeat Voldemort, relationships blossomed in the settlements where the children stayed while the parents fought.
Charles Hagrid, a half-giant like both of his parents, was one of the few people who sat off to the side of the group of fellow children, being extremely shy and felt like he didn't belong. Lily Luna Potter noticed him one day, and approached him. They talked, and imeadiately liked each other. She offered him a seat at the table where they were eating dinner at the time. That was where he met Roxanne Weasley, daughter of George and Angelina Weasley. After a few months, Roxanne asked Charles out, seeing as Charles was extremely shy and wouldn't ask her for fear of rejection. They went out for a couple of years, but eventually broke up, because, while they loved each other, it became harder and harder to spend time with each other, seeing as their home-school work was piling up and the two of them started drifting apart and spending more time with their friends.
Lily Luna Potter however was an extremely exploratory girl. In 2019, a year before Voldemort died, she snuck away from the rebel camp, and went to Diagon Alley, wanting to see the place she had heard stories of. While she was there, she met a few people who went to Hogwarts, including Everard Flint. She knew she had to be careful of who to trust, but after spending the day with Everard and his friends, she was determined to come back and meet up with him again, and so they planned to. Over the next year, Lily snuck away from the rebel camp to see Everard and his friends, but sometimes it was only to see Everard. Three months before Voldemort died, Everard asked Lily out and she said yes. A month into them dating, Albus Severus Potter caught her sneaking out and followed her, to find she was dating Everard. When Lily returned Albus confronted her, and warned her, though promised not to tell their father. Lily ignored his warning and continued to date Everard. When Voldemort died, Everard was enraged when Lily was happy that he was finally dead, having not realized their side before this (and Lily never mentioned her last name either). They hit a rift in their relationship, though it mended itself on the first day of school when Everard apologized. Lily trusted him, so she accepted the apology, though Everard only did it to be able to get information, or was it for love?
