Summer glanced around worriedly. It was way past curfew. She had decided to get some night photos around the castle and time had gone by way to fast. She was locked out of her dorm (since she couldnt remember the password) and she was scared. She didnt know what the punishments were in this time period and she knew that the professors had to be much stricter.
Summer let out a loud scream as a ghost went past and backed into the nearest corner, crouching down and breathing more heavily. Ghosts were common at Hogwarts but that didnt mean that they werent scary. She concentrated for a moment and darkened her hair as much as she could and then darkened her eyes. Maybe it would help her stay hidden a bit more. She wasnt the best metamorphagus and the next thing she knew, she also had cat ears on top of her head.

Professor Snape had been wandering around the school for the past few hours on gard duty. It was a requirement that the staff at Hogwarts patrolled the corridors after school hours. Eventhough the school was considered to be the safest place in the wizarding world at the moment, it wasn't always the case. The Death Eaters were about to attempt to break into the school the last time he checked. They wanted Potter dead as much as Voldemort.
He had been walking through the secret passage to get the the fourth floor. It was must quicker than taking the grandstaircase. He held his wand out infront of him, but it wasn't lit, the only source of light came from the torches which hung on the walls.
Snape arrived on the fourth floor. It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. But then he heard a scream coming from down the hall. He hurried along the corridor towards the sound. "Who's there?" he called out with his wand pointing ahead.

Summer squeaked when she heard someones voice. She nervously let her features go back to normal, except for the cat ears, cause they amused her. She stepped out of the corner and saw Professor Snape. She mentally cringed, he was supposedly the strictest teacher here. "I-I got up to go to the bathroom and when i tried to go back to my dorm I couldnt remember the password, and then-then I screamed cause I saw a ghost. Im so sorry, Professor" She shut her mouth and closed her eyes as tight as she could. She was talking to much and now she was waiting for a hex or something. Punishments hurt in the future sometimes, so why wouldnt they hurt now?
She peeked a little bit at the famous teacher. She let her hair turn read and couldnt help but smile. Maybe she could amuse him like she was able to amuse other grownups. Professor snape was head of Slytherin she believed so then she turned her hair green and gave him a fake, helpless look.

Snape looked at her. He assumed she was a Gryffindor, though he didn't recognise her at all. He heard rumors that there apparently were students from the furture who had gone back in time. He wasn't sure how that would be possible, if they used time turners, there was no way of returning until the time moved forward.
"Changing your hair to different colours will not help you Miss ..." Snape said to her and raised an eyebrow, he didn't know her name. He was sure she was lying to him. He knew there were bathrooms in all of the Houses, she didn't have an excuse for going to look for a bathroom. Especially at this time of night. "I think you deserve a detention, do you?" he asked her coldly.

"Wood. Daughter of-" Summer shut her mouth. She couldnt tell him who her parents were. "Your not going to hex me for being out to late?" She squeaked. She didnt believe it. She thought punishment was going to be horrible. She let her hair turn back to normal and sighed. "When will I serve my detention?" She asked. Detention couldnt be to bad, it was definitely better then what she had had in mind.
She grinned at him. "Other kids say you're mean but I dont see why they would say that" She said. She wasnt sucking up, just saying the truth. She stopped grinning after a moment, maybe he wanted kids to think the he was mean so that they would behave better around him.

Severus thought for a moment, the last name sounded familiar. Wasn't there someone with the last name Wood a few years ago? Yes, there was, as he recalled, the boy was Quidditch captain of the Gryffindor team. Come to think of it exactly like James Potter.
"No, I am not going to hex you," he said to her lowing his wand. If he attacked a student Dumbledore would fire him. He never attacked a student physically. He sometimes messed with their minds, like Potter last year with Occulemency. He smirked at the thought. He had been reluctant to take on the assignment at first. He was sure he didn't teach the kid anything.
"You will serve your detention next saturday night after dinner. And don't think you'll be writing lines. That won't teach you anything," Snape said threatening. He rarely made students write out lines. He approved of practical detentions. Snape raised an eyebrow again. "Really?" Snape asked her. He wasn't expecting that statement, especially from a Gryffindor student.

"Woah your way better then my old teachers." She said with relief, letting some of the tension out of her shoulders as she relaxed. "Maybe you can help me work on controling my metamorphagus powers better" She said with a slight smile. She still couldnt quite control everything she changed and it got annyoing fast, and their were some things she couldnt even change into even if she concentrated as hard as she could.
"I dont like writing lines anyways" Summer said with a smile. Maybe it would be something interesting. Or maybe she would have to clean, she couldnt help but grimace for a moment. She couldnt stand to sit and do one thing for to long without going crazy. The only thing that she could do without going crazy was play quidditch and that was because the game was constantly changing. "Yes, really." She paused for a moment searching for a wword she would use to describe him. But when she couldnt think of one she just shrugged.

"Your old teachers hexed you?" Snape asked her. He was curious, harming student was not allowed at Hogwarts. He raised his eyebrow again. Students rarely asked him to help them with anything. "I'm not the one you want to help you with that," he told her. That was not his area of expertise. "You should talk to Nymphadora Tonks," he added and recalled that she was the only metamorphagus that knew, although she rarely spoke to him.
Snape thought for a few minutes. "You will not be cleaning either," he said as he tried to think of an appropriate punishment. Sneaking out at night was not a major offense but against school rules. Most students wander the school at night, only a few of them ever get caught. "You will be creating a potion for your detention,"
