Tonks came sprinting down the hall. She was really late and had gone to the wrong place at first. Stupid directions, I really need to remember why I'm going. WAH! she thought before falling. She landed on her front, and it really wasn't a good week for her. Mother Nature was haveing her monthly visit. Couldn't it have waited another week?
She looked up and puffed, "Sorry... I'm... Late... Got... Lost..." She pushed herself up and slipped on her robes, "I'm okay, I'm okay!" She stood up, and tried to smile. She'd been falling more often recently. And she was over emotional, wasn't that just great?

Remus turned his wand towards the figure which fell. He knew he didn't really need to ask her a question since he was sure that Metamorphagus couldn't be changed into because of their ability, but awaited her question.
"Are you sure you're ok?" Remus said trying to help her up, but she had gotten up by herself already, and made sure he didn't react too himself, because that would turn out disasterously, "You really need to watch out, someone might have heard you fall." Remus kept himself in line as he talked to her, making sure he didn't say something she could take as something showing how much he loved her, which words could never express.

Tonks looked around nodding to Teddy and Sophie in a hello salute, then she looked at Remus and gave a sort of glare. Why was he asking questions? He's the one who doesn't care, she thought. Looking back at Sophie and Teddy she answered Lupin's questions, "I'm fine, I always trip."
She looked around and answered Lupin while looking at him, "Well I don't see anyone, they are probably going to kill us first so what's the point in not giving away our position?" She rolled her eyes again.

Ah, father, always the worried one. Teddy only knew his father from stories before this, but he got a pretty good idea about how his father was like. Right now Remus was still trying to distance himself from Tonks, but he knew if something came Tonks' way Remus would take the shot instead. "Come on Tonks, he's just worried," Teddy said sweetly trying to smile slightly, though it was hard since he didn't want to his parents fighting, "Surely if there is someone trying to kill us, then we need to keep disguised, in order to prevent as many deaths as possible."
Teddy knew that they would be some of the first in trouble, given their positions in the school and where the Death Eaters were going to enter. But he knew that at least Tonks and Remus were going to survive, and Teddy was determined to keep Sophie alive too. From what he remembered the Death Eaters would enter extremely soon, so he kept alert.

Tonks crossed her arms, she wanted to say something really mean but decided against it. Instead she said, only audible if you were actually listening, "If he cares then why is he pushing me so far away?" Then she actually said, "Alright, alright, I'm loud we know! Let's just keep looking around okay?"
She didn't want to seem so mean that she wasn't being careful but staying hidden was pretty hard for her.

Teddy looked at her, trying to keep a small smile on his face, though he still hated the fact they were still fighting. Just be patient, Teddy told himself. A certain stillness was in the air, and he knew they were coming soon. It was getting closer. He could feel the tension in the whole building, almost like he could feel as though something big was about to happen within the next hour, probably less than an hour. It's because he's scared to loose you and he fears he might hurt you, and he'd never forgive himself ever again, Teddy thought to himself, knowing some of the same things applied to his answer with Victoire. He didn't want to loose her, he didn't trust himself not to do something stupid and loose her forever. Victoire was the world to him and he'd die in her place if he could, just like he knew Remus felt about his mother. Patience is a virtue he was about to loose, but he kept himself focused.
"Yes mam," Teddy said with a small smug smile forming on his face, but not too smug to be insulting, as that was not his goal at all, "I'm sure if you look like you're going to fall again I'll come to your rescue."

Sophie looked from her father to her mother, the tension in the air was rising and it made her skin crawl. She moved behind her brother and tapped her finger just between his shoulder blades, T-H-E-Y-K-E-E-P-F-I-G-H-T-I-N-G... T-H-I-S-N-I-G-H-T-N-E-E-D-S-T-O-E-N-D-F-A-S-T-S-O-T-H-E-Y-C-A-N-F-I-N-A-L-L-Y-B-E-T-O-G-E-T-H-E-R-A-N-D-B-E-H-A-P-P-Y. She stepped back in her spot and said, "Can we just calm down? I really don't like people fighting in places like this. Where there's ghosts, and people, and hidden doors and all that."
She looked at her father, then back at her mother. How could it've started like this? It's just so sad. she thought.

Teddy nodded instinctively before returning in the same manner with I-K-N-O-W... J-U-S-T-B-E-P-A-T-I-E-N-T-S-O-O-N-I-T-W-I-L-L-G-O-T-O-O-F-A-S-T, then he removed his hand as if he was yawning. He looked from one parent to the next with a small frown. "Yeah, if we all don't just calm down something might... I dunno, happen," Teddy said in an almost begging voice. He just wanted this night to hurry up and be over with and then their parents would finally get along.
It was almost like something just triggered his sensors that it was going to happen in the next few minutes. He tensed up only slightly and took in a deep breathe. He knew it was coming, it would be really soon. To think just a few years ago his Uncle Harry and Aunt Ginny were telling all of them stories about this place. Who would've thought that Teddy would actually be there, the night that his whole existence rested on. He wanted to be born, but most of all he wanted to see their parents happy and together.

Remus looked away from Tonks because he didn't want to be looked at like that, especially by her. At least it was better than the alternative at least as of now it seemed that way. Her glare seemed to pierce him like a sharp knife through the chest. Remus forced himself to keep focused on everyone, including Tonks. As long as he kept his goal in mind, he would take the pain of Tonks' anger and everything and just deal with it.
"I didn't do anything," Remus said calmly looking at his distant cousins, only looking at Tonks out of the corner of his eye, "That's right Sophie. Thank you for reminding me. Homenum Revelio." Remus wand quickly pointed towards a wall nearby. "Somebody is near," Remus stated slightly fearfully, since they didn't know if they, meaning those his wand detected, were with them or against them.

Sophie looked around, if she went she'd be able to be quiet enough because well, paws were quieter than shoes. Sophie knew from experience that everything was quieter with paws. She looked around again, maybe if she could get them all to stay put she could go take a quick look, if it wasn't their people then she'd run back down the hall.
"Maybe I could go check.. Paws beat shoes when it comes to stealth. " she said, she started looked around again, "Maybe we should have battle buddies, because you know.. it'd be safer."

Suddenly everything went black. He could hear footsteps and spells being fired. He tried looking for Tonks, but he couldn't see anything. He heard voices, some he recognized, such as Hermione Granger's voice saying something about Malfoy and Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder. "Get out of this mess!" Remus shouted hoping that the four heard him. He dropped to the floor and crawled the rest of the way out.
He was the first one out besides a scared Hermione and a few other kids. Tonks... oh he hoped she wasn't hit by some spell, especially if it killed her, he wouldn't forgive himself. He wasn't being careful enough. "Hermione, go get Professor Snape now, Ron wake up the other professors," the two kids looked at him unsure if they should go, or something like that, "Go now!" The two scampered away on each of the missions they were given. Remus looked around and spotted Death Eaters on just about every floor now. He could swear he saw a glint of blonde hair head up to the Astronomy Tower. Remus began shooting spells, but he couldn't help but look back every once and awhile at the darkened area hoping that Tonks would come out soon. That powder didn't work for too long, so in a matter of minutes he would know the fate if they didn't come out.

Tonks was freaking out in the blackness, she heard spells being shot, voices shouting. It was getting pretty loud. She started to run forward and ended up tripping over someones shoes. She heard a spell go right over her head and luckily it didn't hit her, it looked like it'd been a stunning spell. She crawled around looking for a fluffy dog tail to say that she was near Sophie but no such thing was there. She kept crawling forward, till she got steped on. She yelped and then kept moving. When she got out she started coughing up black powder.
"Anyone else breathe in the lot of that mess?" she coughed in turn. "Where's Teddy, and Sophie!?" she looked around frantically, those two were ever so kind, could they've died in that mess? Looking around again she saw a giant blond Death Eater out of the corner off her eye. She saw him taking aim at the rest of the black cloud and screamed, "Get down! Get down!!" she then shot of three different spell in the way of the Death Eater to get his focus on her instead.

Remus sighed in relief for only a second before a couple of spells were cast his way. He was still worried about his two distant cousins, since they still hadn't emerged from the darkness. Remus' heart was pumping. What was going to happen? He sure did not want to die, but then again, if it meant Tonks, Sophie, or Teddy living he would be happy dying to save someone. Remus was fighting off a Death Eater with long black hair, which reminded him of Sirius, but he knew it couldn't be a Black, so trying to ID the man he was fighting didn't matter.
Remus turned his head for a second to see Tonks fighting off the large blonde Death Eater, but was interrupted by a blast nearby his head, hitting the railing of the stairs behind him. Remus quickly fired a couple of stunning spell the Death Eater's way while trying to dodge several other spells coming from every direction.

It had begun. Exactly like Uncle Harry said, along with the support of Aunt Hermione who was actually there; it had become pitch black. He didn't know what he was doing. He had run through the scenario hundreds of time today, and yet in the middle of the moment he didn't know what to do. Teddy stumbled through the blackness searching for Sophie and their parents. Where could they be? Stupidly Teddy didn't hit the ground, and was hit by a cruciatus curse, which wore off after about a second. He was on the ground at least. Teddy didn't yell when the pain coursed through his body, but almost bit his upper lip off from suppressing it. Teddy forgot everything about trying to find the others in the black darkness that engulfed them, and crawled to the light, seeing both of his parents, gripping onto his wand for dear life.
Sophie? Where could she be? No, don't say she's dead. She couldn't be. No, Teddy refused to believe it. She was still alive and in the blackness, which soon should clear up. Teddy jumped up pointing his wand towards a nearby Death Eaters and sent a good five curses his way. In return the Death Eaters fired back with green, red, and other colors of light beams coming from the Death Eater's wand.

Sophie had dropped and changed into a dog as she tried to get out. She couldn't see a thing and didn't know where she was going. She'd been hit by a curse and started howling with pain. She lay there, waiting for the black to clear, she barked a few times to say she was okay but she was still terrifed. Thinking, Please let them all be okay, don't let any of them be dead. When the dark finally cleard she got up and looked around quickly and took off in the direction of a Death Eater. If she was going to fight, she was going to make them terrifed before she hurt them. Her second thought stopped her, she turned around and headed back for her brother whom she'd glimpsed out of the corner of her eye. Oh thank God, he's not dead. she thought with relief.
