Félix had just finished all of his homework. He had done some extra work in anticipation for a busy week, so he was preparing for bed a bit later than usual. He had slipped on his pinstriped pyjamas and was curling into bed when he heard a loud, distant clatter; it sounded as though a wall had crumbled down, or something utterly ridiculous like that. Félix sat bolt upright for a few seconds, listening intently, but no other sounds pierced the silent air. Assuming it was all in his imagination, he put his head back down on the pillow and fell asleep quickly.
Félix felt like he had only been sleeping for a few minutes when suddenly, he sat bolt upright in bed again; he had been suddenly awakened by something. What was it that had aroused him? He couldn't really tell, although now it was clear that the sounds he was hearing were not part of his imagination. Félix listened closely, and thought he could hear the sound of someone screaming, of more banging and clattering, of turmoil within Hogwarts walls.
Knowing now that he could no longer ignore it, Félix quickly put on his shoes and tied them (he had no slippers), and ran out of the dormitory with his bathrobe hanging off one shoulder. He paused for a moment, looking at everyone else in his dormitory, wondering whether he should wake them, but a particularly blood-curdling shriek from below started him and he raced out the dormitory without a backward glance.
After running down the stairs two at a time, Félix found himself amidst one of the most horrifying scenes he had ever witnessed. Scores of people were standing there, duelling savagely, and Félix could tell that this was no club. He saw a few limp bodies scattered along the walls, and he sincerely hoped that none of them were dead bodies. He surreptitiously reached into his pocket and took hold of his wand; he didn't want to whip it out suddenly, because he didn't want everyone's attention to fall on him; he didn't want to fight, exactly, but he didn't want to just stand unhelpfully on the sidelines.
So he watched. It was fairly easy to tell the good people from the bad people, because he could recognise a lot of the good people, and the Hogwarts folk were also in their nightclothes, just like he was. Félix told himself that if he saw anyone in deep trouble, he would come to their aid, but otherwise, he'd try to stay well out of it.

Analiese had gone to take a nice nap on the couch in the Gryffindor Common Room. She'd been sleeping for about ten minutes when she heard the first bang. Her first thought, was that something was wrong with the stairs, then she remembered what night it was. She jumped up in her tank top, sleep pants and slippers and ran, she'd had to turn around and get her wand forgetting that she was going to need it.
She got to the landing and someone was running toward her. She launched fist after fist landing punch after punch on her on comer. She gripped their collar as she sat on the ground on top of them.
"WHO DO YOU WORK FOR!?" She shouted. She knocked them against the floor, "ANSWER ME!"
"You'd love to know wouldn't you, pretty?" the person said in a blood-filled voice.
Analiese snapped their neck after slamming them down on the ground a few more times. She jumped back up, "Who's next?" she looked around seeing people heading away from her. She shot a spell at another person coming toward her, they froze on the spot. She spun on her heel, looking for anyone behind her.
She caught sight of a Ravenclaw, she could tell he was from the shoes. She'd seen that kid once in the hall. She ran over to him, her wand clasped in her hand, "'m on your side." She said in a greek accent.

Felix suddenly saw someone run into the area. He thought that she might be a Gryffindor because of the direction from whence she had come, but also because he had seen her around before. Suddenly, he saw her attack a man who had been running toward her, and pin him to the ground. Felix was uncertain. It didn't seem like she had very good chances of winning the fight, but he wasn't particularly keen on stepping in, so he took out his wand and pointed it, trembling, towards the Gryffindor girl.
Then, somehow, after Felix blinked a few times with flashes of bright light, she was on her feet, standing in front of him. He blinked again, surprised at her swiftness and agility. "Oh--right," he said, his French accent slightly more pronounced in his confusion, "That's good to know. I was about to panic." He paused for a moment, and then said, "I don't think we've met, by the way. I'm Felix. Ravenclaw." He was about to shake her hand, but a flash of white-hot light whizzed towards him and the girl, and he pushed her out of the way and ducked at the same time, just missing the spell.
"Well," he said, taking a deep breath, for his heart was racing, "I guess this isn't the best time for chitchat." He chuckled a little, but it was mostly just to soothe himself, for he was terrified of the whole situation. "You seem to be a lot better than I am at defending yourself, so you just let me know what we should do." He felt rather guilty and unhelpful, just standing around and not fighting.

Analiese nodded, "American transfer. Analiese. Lion." she ducked and shot a counter curse when she'd been pushed out of the way. Under her breath she said, "Thanks, Raven." She hadn't even seen the curse coming for her. She wasn't going to kill anyone unless she had to for answers.
"Probably wouldn't be the best right now.." Analiese said keeping a constant eye out for Ariana or Aaron, if they came and got killed she wouldn't be able to forgive herself. "I've been the leader of what most would call an all boys gang since I was able to fight. I know a lot about getting the answers I want out of enemies. Just stay on the defensive till I say and then we'll be alright." She spun on her heel, blocking one jinx and sending a counter right after it.

Felix felt guilty for talking too much (a rare thing with him) because he was worried that he was distracting the girl--Analiese. So, he merely nodded when she told him what to do, and stood up straight with his fingers clenched, perhaps a little too tightly, on his wand. He tried to drink in the whole scene at once rather than allowing his eyes to drift between certain elements of the situation, but it was proving difficult, for his eyes seemed to glaze over and drift out of focus whenever he looked at everything at once. However, he stopped worrying about it when suddenly he found himself with a person directly in front of him, his wand pointed at his throat.
Felix didn't even think to use his wand at such a close proximity, so he lifted his right leg and kicked the person as hard as he could. As the person fell to the ground, Felix shouted, "Reducto!", and the person was flung across the room with the force of a stampeding rhinoceros. Felix turned around, flushed with his victory, only to see several more unfriendly people closing in on him. He began to run, throwing random spells over his shoulder and looking back to see if they had hit their target.
That was his mistake. Not looking where he was going, he tripped over one of the limp bodies on the ground and fell flat on his back, his wand rolling away as he lost grip on it. Felix decided that perhaps it would be best if he could just find a way to get his wand, but stay lying on the ground. That way, no one would feel bothered to jinx him, and he could also keep an eye on what else was going on in the battle. He hoped that Analiese wouldn't feel too compelled to come and help him if she saw him like this, because he really was fine, and it might distract her from other threats.

Analiese was trying to keep some Death Eaters at bay. She was on the defensive, wand in the pocket of her pants. When one came too near, she whipped her hand out and caught them in the throat. She'd grab and throw with momentum not brute strength. She pulled out her wand in time to catch the slightest glimpse of someone moving behind her. She smirked spun and shouted, "Tantallegra!" the person erupted into laughter and fell to the ground.
Analiese had noticed she couldn't find Felix. She cursed at the top of her lungs. When no one took that as a challenge, she looked at one and made a competitive jesture and screamed, "Get at me!" Americans would say that right? They all seemed to turn their focus to someone further away, maybe on a higher level. She shrugged it off and looked around.
"Bird? Where are you Bird-boy?" Analiese whispered, "Come on Ravenclaw, don't hi-" she had nudged something with her foot. She picked it up, a wand? she thought. She looked around for an owner and saw a still body, "Please don't be dead.." she murmered.

Out of the corner of his eye, Felix saw someone pick up his wand. He hoped it was Analiese and not someone else, and definitely not someone on 'the other side', as he liked to think of it. He really began to worry that Analiese would think that he was dead or unconscious, so he began to subtly wiggle the little finger of his left hand. Of course he had gotten himself into this mess, and he was completely dependent on others at times like these.
And so, giving up on his lame attempt to convey that he was, indeed, alive and well, he suddenly sprang to his feet, found Analiese, and went over to her. Unfortunately, his sudden rise made him dizzy, and he blinked several times in quick succession before finally locking his eyes on her. "Long story..." he said, slightly ashamed of himself, "someone beat me and I thought I could play dead, but I decided that wasn't a good plan any more. Thanks for picking up my wand, by the way." He held out his hand for it.
The fighting seemed to have reached a small break, and fewer curses were flying. "I'm glad you're here," Felix said awkwardly, "I would have no idea what to do if I'd been on my own. Go in a corner and weep, probably. I've never been much of a plucky person."

Analiese had been oblivious to Felix moving his finger and had been shooting random spells that came to her mind at the opponets. She'd been trying hard to keep the line of fire at bay. It was kind of hard to be the only girl fighting so many people. She was getting angrier and angrier, if they were toying with her they might have wanted to run as far and as fast as they could.
Analiese had let out a yell of surprise and slight fear when Felix had jumped up. She covered her mouth to hide the fact that the sound came from her and went back to her constant vigilance of the front line. She handed over the wand saying, "Playing dead works for some creatures but it's not a good plan if you want to win. Keep your wand safe, no more dropping it or it may cost you your life. A wizard without a wand is like a lion with out it's pride. No that is not a Gryffindor reference."
Analiese smirked, "No problem, you have made me feel like a leader once again." she patted Felix's shoulder, "Just remember to keep your wand handy, you never want to lose it."

Felix heeded Analiese's instructions and held his wand at the ready, scanning the entire scene and trying to catch anything that might require his assistance. He didn't reply at all to what Analiese had said, and so there was silence between them for a bit as Felix concentrated with all his might on what was going on in the battle.
And so it was that he caught a glimpse of a person--someone who wasn't on his and Analiese's side--hit someone who was on their side, and then dart sideways up a staircase towards the Astronomy tower. Felix rushed over to the person who had fallen, who was quite unconscious and there was a trickle of blood pouring out of the side of his head.
Felix suddenly felt angry, possibly angrier than he had ever felt. He was angry at that Death Eater for attacking this innocent person, angry even though he had never even seen the victim before now. Felix wanted to follow that Death Eater and fight him, a preternatural instinct for Felix, who always preferred to stay out of the way.
Deciding that he couldn't do anything to help the victim at this moment, Felix looked at the corridor through which the Death Eater had disappeared, and made up his mind. He sidled towards it, with his wand outstretched in case any surprise attacks came his way, caught Analiese's attention, and mouthed, "I'm going to see what's going on up here." He pointed up the stairwell. And then he set off.

It was getting to that time of night where the silence of Hogwarts was all that was creeping around the castle floors, walls and even the ghosts were asleep for once and thank goodness that Peeves was also gone fro Hogwarts after being banned for his mischievous doings in the castle often destroying ancient artifacts that were considered priceless. As such the silence meant that Astor was close to sleeping. He was laying in bed as his eyes started to droop and his bed had started to warm up. This was how it was meant to go that eventful night. Unfortunately it did not.
The loud echoing sound of glass breaking into pieces and the echoing, deafening, horrible screams of children sounding as if they were in pain. As Astor was head boy, he immediately stood up, grabbed his wand and ran down to see a very unpleasant sight. His mouth instantly dropped as he saw first year students with massive cuts across their body. " Oh my god!" He said as he didn't pay attention to a vase that just got smashed next to him. The Gryffindor house vase!" He thought as he started to become furious and ran toward two other students.
Being a gifted wizard and wanting to know a vast variety of spells, he had decided to use spells he had learned from other countries during his dueling world tournament tour. " La Cavallo Fiera!" He screamed as 12 flaming horses blasted out of his wand and ran toward the crowds of death eaters. " Hey are you guys alright?" He asked as he again began thinking of the next spell to use. " La cavallo aquatera!" He said again this time with 12horses made of water standing in front of him. 'Glacious!" He said as the horses turned into ice. " Protect the school go! Destroy any death eaters in your path and heal the children!" Of course he spoke in another language but then spoke English to some of the others.
