Soft snowflakes drifted to the ground as Rose walked across the grounds to the Black Lake. Sure, it was terribly cold outside, but there was nothing better to do at the moment. It was afternoon, classes were done, and while Rose normally started on her homework right away, she didn't exactly have much to do. A small smile formed on her lips as she thought about how her Uncle Harry had often said that she reminded him alot of her mother when it came to school work. She liked that quite a bit.
Today though, there wasn't any reason why Rose could not just quickly do her homework later, it was easy after all. She only had to write an essay on the use of Arithmancy when it comes to people's names, and what the different numbers meant. That was one of her favorite classes, mostly because again, she was very much so like her mother and she enjoyed the brainwork behind it. Ya know, math. Rose once again couldn't help but smile, it made her happy to be like that. Although, she loved flying, which is something her mother had never gotten used to apaprently.
Rose pulled her jacket closer around her body as she neared the lake, a cold breeze picking up and blowing some of the newly fallen snow around in mini tornados on the ground. Her footsteps stopped a few feet away from the lake, half wondering if it was frozen enough to walk on yet. one of her favorite things to do int he winter was to skate, and she really missed it right then. She had spent so much time inside lately that Rose hadn't even thought about skating recently. She didn't dwell long on the thouguht though, instead, Rose lifted her face towards the sky and opened her mouth to stick her tongue out, waiting to catch a snowflake on it.
