Pyre had recieved a letter from George requesting that she meet him outside of the joke store so that they could go on their date (he had confirmed in the letter that it was, in fact, a date). So, she'd dressed up, pulled her hair into a ponytail and made her way to the store from the Salla (usually, she stayed with her aunt Celesta while she was in London, but she was needed at the Salla currently). She was a little early, so she decided to feed some birds she saw. Her aunt had given her some pizzelle; it couldn't hurt to feed the birdies one, could it?
She crushed one and tossed it into the street, smiling when the birds flocked to it and beginning to hum softly to herself.

Goerge had come out of his shop with his magenta robes on. He wasn't really sure why but he was a bit nervous. He'd dated before but not someone who was italian and so into flowers and his corny jokes. He'd grabbed some jokes that had yet to be finalized and set off. Fred could run the store on his own, he had no doubts about it.
He saw her feeding birds and walked behind her. He covered her eyes and whispered in her ear, "Guess who?"

She stopped humming when someone covered her eyes from behind, worried for a moment then smiled. It was George! Yay! She hoped that he wasn't too dress up or anything; she'd just dug a sundress out of her closet. It was blue; she loved the color blue. She wished that she'd been sorted into Ravenclaw sometimes, because her friends were Ravenclaws mostly, but she wasn't smart enough apparently. She didn't know how she felt about that...
"Hey, George!" she said happily. "Sorry I was so early."

George laughed and smiled when she did that. Pyre was so silly sometimes, it was one of the things he liked about her. He figured he was way too dressed up to be going to Yorkshire, wasn't really a fancy town, but it did have those people who did think it right to always be fancy. He pulled a fake wand out of his sleeve and waved it, it turned into a fake rose. They'd gotten those to work recently, but some still had a few glitches.
"No worries, I thought I was going to be late. We had a bit of a mix up with a few people, saying they thought they'd purchased real wands when everyone knows ours a fakes." he shook his head. Then he handed her the flower, "A beautiful flower for a beautiful girl."

She smiled and accepted the fake rose, offering him a pizzelle. She loved the cookies; she had fond memories of making them with her aunt Celesta as a child. Well, she was technically still a child until December, but still...
"They thought they bought real wands in a joke store....that's silly," she commented. "It's a pretty rose! Grazie!"

George accepted the cookie and smiled. He held out his arm as if asking, 'Shall we?' He hadn't really planned anything except taking her for flowers. Anything else they did was entierly up to her, unless they passed a joke shop. Then he'd have to go check it out. He actually might get giddy if they found a really good one.
"They were first years... Have to cut them some slack." he noted. "You're welcome? Fred and I got some of them to work, some may cut you."

She wrapped her arms around his and noted internally that he was much taller than she was. A lot of people were; she was only five-foot-two, but still...why must everyone be so tall? Pyre didn't enjoy feeling tiny; she was perfectly aware of her own shortness. Even her cousin Talon, who was not tall by any stretch of the imagination, was taller than she was.
"It's easy for you to say; you won't be getting accidentally jinxed by them when they mispronounce spells all year," she pointed out. "And it's okay; I've been stabbed with a sword. I don't think a fake rose will be all that bad."

George started walking her down the street. According to his father, it was nice to walk a lady to a train station and take her to the destination that way. Even if it was faster to apperate, he wanted to spend as much time on this date as it took. He'd been on some before but those were on the hogwarts grounds, and it was a few years ago.
"True... but we do get them pretty often. You don't know how many people tried to buy things when they're under sixteen when most of our stuff is for over sixteens." he noted, "You might want to cut back on the stabbing..."

Oh, were they taking the train? Pure loved train rides; her mama had put her on the train at the station in Rome a lot when she'd gone to visit Aunt Celesta as a small child. Of course, she could Apparate now (laws in Italy being different and whatnot), so she'd stopped taking trains everywhere. But this meant that George wanted to spend more time with her, right? Right!
"Almost as many as we have to direct out of the Italian Districf when they get lost every year?" she guessed then shrugged at his next statement. "It's part of my job description."

George led her down the street, through the leaky cauldron and on to the street. It wasn't a long way to the station but it was going to be a nice walk he could tell already.
"Maybe more." he chuckled, "Maybe that job needs to be edited a smidge."

Pyre looked at the buidings around her with frank interest. It all looked so different from Italy! She wasn't used to any of it, yet, but it wasn't unpleasant, really. Just different. She didn't understand her brother's aversion to London except that Jared probably got lost a lot. It wasn't like he could really ask for directions...
"That's a lot of first years," she noted. "And it's okay! I've been in training for my job since I was five! I...I really don't know how to do much of anything else, and I'm way too young to retire."

George led her the rest of the way to the train station. Although they would be apperating back, it would be nice trip. He chuckled, even if she'd been doing her job for that long, it still put her in danger.
"Oh well, you're going to have to take a three, four year break here soon? Only because I said so." he chuckled.

"Eh?! B-but there's a war going on back home! I have to help!" she stated. "All of my family members are! A-and...it just wouldn't be fair! It's Gabe's turn to be on leave..."
She was probably being far too nice about all of this, and if it were anyone but her family, she would probably get scammed a lot. They were her family, though! She couldn't hang them out to dry! That would be wrong! Gabe hadn't had any time off since the year before. Granted, Pyre hadn't actually been on real leave in about two, but Gabe had kids! She didn't, so she could spend more time helping the war effort!

"I guess I don't know how to top that.." he shrugged. "Now come on, we've got roses to find!" he cheered.
They boarded the train after paying for their tickets and were on their way to Yorkshire! It wasn't the city of love but it did have roses, chocolate and a whole lotta other stuff to get your sweet heart!

"Yay!" she cheered happily, spinning in a little circle and doing a fist pump into the air. "Roses!"
She was excited to see Yorkshire! She hadn't seen much of England outside of London until that day, so it was kind of like going on an adventure...which was kind of lame, but still! She'd heard that Yorkshire was a really nice place. She wondered if she'd find those pretty red roses that the British were famous for; Italian roses were, well...pink.
