Lisa was temporarily handling matters in the front of the store because Fred was out doing something (he hadn't told her exactly what, but she hadn't really asked either) and George was still trying to cheer up Angelina. Poor kid...just hadn't been herself since Aura died. Lisa hoped that she got around to feeling better soon; she was a very nice girl, and Molly was clearly starting to get worried about her.
Business was a little slow that day, like it was most Mondays, so she was dusting off the shelves. She really didn't mind cleaning; she'd been cleaning up one mess or another behind Jak for years. It was more like second nature to her than anything now.
She looked up to greet the new customer when the bell rung but froze. She'd hoped to never see his face again.
"Jaden? Wh-what can I help you with?" she asked.
"It's been a while, Ane. You don't write," he pointed out mildly. "I can't just want to drop by and visit?"
"But you don't. I know you better than that...why are you here?" she demanded, wishing that Fred were there.
She remembered that temper of his when his eyes darkened. She had briefly wondered if he still hit as hard as he had in Hogwarts; it was confirmed that he did when he smacked her so hard her ears rang.
"Can't ever have a pleasant conversation with you, can I?" he hissed.

Fred had gone out, not really telling Anelisa where he was going, mostly because he was planning on buying her a present while he was out. He didn't know what the present was yet, but he wanted to get her something nice at least. She was carrying his child after all. And he was sure that he loved her.
Fred finally found something that he thought that she would probably like. Of course, he was tempted to rig it with pranks, but decided against it. It was a small necklace. It didn't look like much at all, but it was very nice, and for some reason, Fred really wanted to get it for her. Fred paid the four knuts, and was on his way back to the store. When he had reached the door, which was glass, he peered in, and saw Jaden. Yeah, Jaden. That little punk that Lisa dated in Hogwarts. Fred didn't like that guy... at all.
Fred made his way through the door hearing Jaden's last comment. Fred approached Lisa quickly, having noticed the way they had been standing when Jaden made the last comment, guessing that Jaden had just hit her.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Fred said in almost a growl.

She would have replied to Jaden's comment, but it had been a while since they'd been together; she wasn't used to the hitting anymore (was it pathetic that she'd ever been used to it?). She was a little disoriented there for a moment, but a second hit had usually followed pretty closely on the heels of the first from her past experiences with Jaden. That one didn't hurt as much; her head was still ringing from the first.
She spied a flash of orange hair through the glass door, and then a noticeably angry Fred was back in the store. She would usually tell him to let her handle it, but she realized from how he'd asked his question that her dealing with the situation wasn't an answer.
"Just talking. Right, Lisa?" Jaden just about growled himself, shooting her a glare.
"Y-yeah...talking," she mumbled on instinct.

Fred glared at Jaden, moving his body between Jaden and Anelisa, just in case Jaden had the feeling to 'talk' a little more with her. There was no way that this guy would just get away with this. Fred's mind wasn't on some expert prank merchandise he and George were working on right now, but on how he was going to make sure this guy never would try to pull anything on his girlfriend again.
"Right," Fred snapped rolling his eyes, "And your hand just so happened to make contact with my girlfriend's face, right?"

Lisa flinched and looked away on instinct when Jared rose an eyebrow at her over Fred's shoulder. She really hated being protected; she'd never needed it before, when things had been a lot worse. Her life was pretty great now, considering what it had been; a smack or two was nothing compared to what her own parents and Jaden had done. Fred was angry, though, and she could tell. She would try to get him to calm down later. It just wasn't going to happen at the moment.
"Old habits die hard," Jaden replied to Fred's question with a shrug.
"I'll say," Lisa mumbled, mostly to herself.

"Why don't you just get out of here?" Fred asked, though he more like ordered Jaden to do. What was this guy thinking coming to his place of business and hurting his girlfriend? Sure the two dated in the past, but that didn't mean he could come in and hurt his girlfriend, or even if she wasn't, his worker. The Weasleys never stood for anything like that. If George had been here, he'd probably be mad as well.
Fred didn't really realize before now at the amount of hitting Jaden must have done. If he had known how bad it really was, he would've made Jaden pay all those years ago. He was really close to assaulting Jaden right now. Just the thought of him ever harming Anelisa again made him quite angry.

"Alright. Lisa and I can talk some other time," Jaden drawled with a smirk. "See you around, Anelisa."
He tipped his hat to the both of them with a mocking grin before ducking out of the store. Lisa sighed and ran a hand through her hair. She tilted her head to the side with a little frown, hesitantly placing her hand on Fred's shoulder. He wouldn't hit her, she knew that; Fred wasn't Jaden. She just hoped that he wasn't mad at her for something. Her parents would've been; Jaden would've been...hell, Jak definitely was. She didn't need one more person pissed off at her.
"Fred...are you okay?" she asked softly.

It was a good thing that Jaden had left. The instant the guy was out, Fred felt a bit calmer, not as calm as he normally was, but calmer. At least that bastard was out of the store. He watched as Jaden left, and even followed the man through the windows with just his eyes. When Anelisa placed her hand on his shoulder he looked at her.
"I'm... fine," Fred said closing his eyes taking a deep breathe, "What's more important is if you're ok, Lisa." That's all Fred cared about right now. He was angry at Jaden. Not her. It wasn't her fault at all. If she was ok, then he would be happy. Actually ok, not just saying that she was ok to make him not worry about her.

How very...Fred. She was fine; she was always fine. Hadn't they had this conversation in the past...? Lisa had dealt with years of Jaden acting like he had earlier. It wasn't such a big deal to her, but that was sad in and of itself, wasn't it? She guessed that it was, but she wouldn't say anything. God forbid Fred got angrier and went off after Jadin. She really preferred to not have Fred followed around by an Auror guide; it wouldn't be fun to explain to his mother.
"I'm fine!" she insisted. "Are you sure you're okay? You know that you can have anger-induced heartattacks, right? Please don't freak out..."
Aaaaannnnnd, she was rambling. She had a tendency to do that....

Fred shot her a small smile before returning to his frowning face trying to calm himself down. No one placed their hands on his girlfriend. No one hit a girl, unless that girl was Bellatrix, or trying to kill them. Even other girls. Fred knew that his anger was not a good thing, but it was hard to help it. He definitely didn't want to come off as being angry because of her, or anything. She didn't do anything besides pay attention to that guy, which he didn't blame her for doing.
"I doubt I'll die from a heartattack," Fred said relaxing a bit with a small smile peeking on his face through his frown, "I won't let anyone hurt someone that I love."

"I can take care of myself, Fred...really, I'm fine!" she insisted, smiling a little. "And you never know! You can have heart-attacks brought on by anger! It's possible! I read it in some health magazine!"
She couldn't remember, really. She was fairly certain that she'd read that particular magazine while she was sitting in the waiting room of St. Mungo's before a check up. It had some weird name; Lisa was pretty sure that it was a muggle magazine. All the same, she'd read it! It was in a health magazine!

"I know you can, but I can't help but want to help," Fred replied still a bit tense and tempted to beat the crap out of that guy, though the idea just became crazier and crazier as he calmed down. "But laughing makes you live longer right? So I am at risk of living longer and dying young..." At least that was what he heard with laughing helping a person live longer. He had just heard it once, so he wasn't sure, but he didn't really care.
Fred, while he'd never say it ever, expected to die young anyways in this war, like Harry's parents did, protecting those he loved. It was something inside his head, deep inside, that he didn't even know he thought. He was perfectly willing to die for his family, and Lisa, and pretty much anyone against Voldemort.

"I appreciate that you want to help, but I don't want you risking your health over something like that, Fred. I dealt with years of it; I lived, didn't I?" she asked, eyebrows still knitted together in concern. Her face fell a little when he made this next comment, and she sighed. "We're all in danger of dying in these times, young or not..."
She hated thinking about it. She knew that she wouldn't mind dying for Fred or the friends she'd made in England or her child or her sister, but the idea of any of them dying was unbearable. She didn't want to imagine a world without her loved ones.
