Summer gazed at herself in her dorm mirror. The dress made her look older. Her hair was styled into a bun with some loose hair. It was really cute and had only taken her a little bit to do.
Summer left the dorm and held on tightly to the banister as she walked. She wasn't very stable when she tried walking in fancy shoes and she knew her feet would ache by the end of the night.
She couldn't help but gasp when she entered the room. Everything looked so pretty. She stared around and then slowly made her way to a table and sat down, still staring. She didn't really recognize the music. She was used to more modern music. She thought about it for a moment then smiled. For people in the past, the songs were modern. She quickly stopped grinning she didn't want to look insane, that wouldn't get anyone to approach her.

Jake was in his dorm putting his finishing touches on his hair so it swooped in the perfect way. His suit was nice and straight and he was quite ready now. It was just a matter of finding someone to talk to, since he didn't have a date to this thing. Jacob wasn't in a relationship, nor was crushing on anyone, except he could be starting to fall for Summer, but he didn't know that.
Jacob walked up the steps from the common room of the Slytherins and looked around. He walked around the Great Hall for a couple of minutes until he stopped in his tracks. Jacob spotted a familiar face. A beautiful red dress upon her, which made her look slightly older, but very beautiful. Jacob walked up to her and smiled.
"Hey Summer, having fun?" Jacob asked coming up from behind Summer.

Summer was surprised when she heard a voice behing her. She turned around and saw Jacob. He looked incredibly handsome. "Lot of fun, now it'll be better that i have someone to talk to" She paused then quickly added, "Unless you have a date?" She wasnt sure she wanted to hear the answer but she knew it was a good thing to ask. She didnt want to embarass herself or anything.
"You look really handsome" Summer complimented with a smile. "I might just need another picture of you for my scrapbook" She stuck her tongue out. She hadnt thought to bring her camera. She figured she would start getting obsessed with taking pictures and not dance for the entire night, which would be a dissapointment.

Jacob smiled slightly. Truthfully he didn't know who to ask to the ball. A lot of people were going together as friends, but Jacob didn't have too many friends which he actually liked. Phineas and the Dragon's Fire thought that he was their friend, but he really wasn't and he was just too afraid to tell them he didn't like them.
"Nope, completely unattatched at the moment," Jacob replied smiling, thinking that it would be a good day hanging out with Summer, since she was one of the few who actually trusted him in reality since Phin and the others he got the feeling didn't trust him, even if his father was the Dark Lord. "Why thank you! You look very beautiful yourself. If you want one, of course you can take one."
