Teddy had been injured. Quite badly too. Not only by getting hit by numerous spells including the torture curse, he had been crushed under a fair amount of roof. And now he lays in the Hospital Wing, restrained by a spell to keep him on the bed. He could move his head to the sides and roll over on his sides, but that was about it. Madame Pomfrey was strict about him not moving.
Of course Dumbledore's funeral was only yesterday and there he had disobeyed her orders to stay in his chair by walking all the way down to the grounds. How she discovered that Teddy didn't know, but it sentenced him to be stuck to the bed for a couple more days which would be when he would be released from this hospital.
Teddy had decided that as soon as he got out of this hospital he would do something to help out with the Order. He still wasn't sure if he should warn them that they would know when Harry was being moved, but not that there would be seven Harrys, because then maybe Mad-Eye wouldn't die then at least.
Teddy's thoughts turned to Victoire. He loved her more than anything, he was just scared of commitment and losing her. He wanted to be with her right now, talk to her, just be with her, because he hadn't seen her in a long time. He was quite a fool when it came to Victoire, and always was worried she would just give up on him, but so far that hadn't happened. While the two weren't a couple at the moment or maybe they were, it was kind of hard to tell, but anyways, he still wanted her around. They could joke around, or even talk about anything serious. He just wanted to hear her sweet voice again.

Madame Pomfrey had caught Eliza smoking and demanded that she come down to the Hospital Wing for a check-up. Though she hadn't been too psyched for it (who would?), she'd reluctantly agreed. A few days later, she'd received a note telling her the date and time of her apointment. Seeing that there was no way to escape meeting up with the old witch, Eliza had hesitantly prepared to go to the Hospital Wing.
She quickly hid her cigarettes in case Pomfrey asked for them (like hell she'd hand them over; Roddie wasn't buying her new ones for a few months) before she left the common room. It wasn't like any of her Housemates would look for them...except for maybe Peterson. God, she hated Peterson...
When she got to the Hospital Wing, Pomfrey was nowhere to be found. Eliza looked around for the old lady in case she'd missed her then groaned. Really? She was going to make Eliza wait here until she showed up...? That was just...wow. Really?
Noticing someone in one of the beds, she decided to ask if he knew when Pomfrey would be back. If it wasn't soon, she was leaving. No way was she waiting around here when she had lunch with Anni that afternoon.
"Um...hey, do you know when Pomfrey'll be back?" she asked, trying to remember his name. She sucked with names...and faces. She just didn't pay attention, if she was being honest.

Things the past few weeks had been crazy. As if it wasn't bad enough that a bunch of her family and friends had been shifted through time, but back to this time? The Battle of the Astronomy Tower, and now the funeral? Who on earth would torture people with this? These thoughts had been running around Victoire's mind for days, and she keeps coming up with nothing. Then of course, having to find a job, try not to let people connect the dots when it comes to her family connection.... Life was stressful these days! How simple life was back home.
What also didn't help though, was a certain Lupin boy. A certain L upin boy that Vicky had been dating off and on for the past... how many years now? Now, what did this Lupin boy have to do with her tormented thoughts? Well, Vicky had heard from some of her cousin's who attended Hogwarts that Teddy Lupin had been pretty hurt in the battle. Yes, she heard it from her cousins, not him, or his sister, or even finding out on her own. Why you ask, was she not at the battle herself? The answer was quite simple actually, Vicky had been stuck at work. She couldn't have very well said "Oh, I need this night off because there is going to be a massive battle up at the school" Imagine the looks she would get, and then the questions.
Now, Vicky pretty much stormed into the Hospital Wing at Hogwarts, a place at one point she had thought to work at, and looked around. Once her eyes fell on her prey she began walking towards him. "Theodore James Lupin! What on earth have you done to yourself this time! And why did I have to hear it from one of my cousins!" Yes, she was mad, but it was only because she had been worried. Considering the on again off again status of their relationship, at this point was in off mode, at least she thought it was, she really didn't have much right to be too angry, but it was only like that because of Teddy, not because of her. Still though, she placed her hands on her hips, stopping to stand beside his bed to wait for an explanation, nbot even caring who else was in the room.

Teddy was lost in thought when the Gryffindor girl had come in. He was thinking of some of the good times he had in the rebel camp with his family and just everyone. He turned his head towards the Gryffindor hearing the question.
"I dunno, she could be here any second or in a few hours," Teddy responded. He actually had no idea what Madame Pomfrey was doing, but being reminded that she was out, maybe he could break this spell holding him down. He began struggling against it, but his body wasn't strong enough to hold the spell. He sighed, wanting to get out of the bed. He hated being injured.
It was then someone came through the doors, and began yelling. He couldn't help smiling even though he was being scolding. Victoire Weasley. My how he loved her, even when she was angry.
"Well I couldn't get out of the bed, and Madame Pomfrey wouldn't let me write a letter!" Teddy insisted hoping that it would be a good enough explanation, but to answer her other question, he added, "I was fighting Death Eaters! And well, I was injured by the roof collapsing. You know me and my risky moves. Plus my cousin Remus was there, I had to protect him." Yeah right cousin! But she would get it, since she had heard all about his parents as well. He actually liked when she was angry at him... sometimes, though he liked it more when they were able to just hang out and maybe some of the romantic stuff. He liked snogging and all, because well he loved her. She would be the only one he snogged for the rest of his life.

Eliza seriously considered just leaving before Pomfrey could arrow and yell at her for smoking so soon after the battle. She'd sustained some internal injuries protecting some Hufflepuff girl that had up and tattled on her to Madame Pomfrey when she tried to leave without being checked on. Stupid little brat...
Before she could say anything, though, that blonde woman showed up and started yelling at the dude in the bed. Remus Lupin's cousin, he said he was? Weird. She'd never heard of Lupin having a cousin. Oh, well; stranger things had happened. She really didn't want to listen to him stand there and get screamed at, though, and she wanted a smoke really bad. She'd just slip out now and maybe Pomfrey wouldn't ask about her...
"Um...thanks," she mumbled.
She quietly exited the room and prayed to Gott that Pomfrey didn't ask if she'd shown up.

Darn Teddy and that stupid smile of his! It was so hard to stay mad at him when he smiled. Granted, it was hard to stay mad at him for very long anyways, but she really wanted to be mad at him this time. He knew very well just how much she cared about him, and the fact that he had been injured in any way drove her mad. She tapped her foot impatiently, letting Teddy explain himself.
Vicky listened to the explanation, and it seemed valid enough, but still. The fact that she had just heard that he had been seriously hurt, and not if he was conscious, or even going to live, well that was the part that got her the most. "You couldn't have sent your sister or something? All I got was that you were hurt!" Her anger was now turning to frustration, wit a hint of whining. She knew he knew she cared, and worry was never a good thing for her.
She sighed, quite loudly, at his risky moves. However, her temper was calming as she let Teddy explain more about what had happened. "The roof!?! Oh Teddy really?" At that moment she really wanted to go and smack the boy upside the head, maybe knock some sense into him, but that wouldn't help matters at all. "Yes, protect your cousin but protect yourself too! You are only human, and you could have died! Where would that leave me if you had died huh?" At that point Vicky let her arms fall, all the anger gone, now just worry and a little bit of hurt. What would Vicky do if Teddy died? Sure, they were currently 'off' but he was the one she wanted. Her family knew it, he knew it, and it had been that way for many, many years now. She leaned over at that point, placing a light kiss on his forhead, not fully thinking, just doing.

Teddy couldn't help but keep smiling. Just hearing her voice and seeing her face made him extremely happy. Who wouldn't smile when they were as happy as he was in this moment, even if she was angry with him? He loved her temper, he loved everything about her. There was nothing that he found ever so slightly annoying, because all the annoying parts about her to others just made her even more perfect. Yes. He was an idiot in love.
"Oh well, we weren't sure exactly where you were, and well... we're still floundering getting used to this... situation we're all in," Teddy said still smiling widely, so widely it hurt his face to keep up the smile, yet he continued to smile, "I'm sorry Vicky, I should've had Sophie send word." What he really wanted to do is jump up from the bed and give her a hug, and yet he was completely unable to do so. Stupid injury. Stupid bed. Stupid healing. Why couldn't he just heal instantly? Oh yeah, Madame Pomfrey told him that injuries heal fast with magic, but the severity of his made him need to stay in bed to heal completely. It would take months if they didn't have magic.
"Well without my cousin where would I be? Trust me, I was more disappointed in myself for getting injured like this than everyone else was," Teddy replied. Ah yes. He was very disappointed to the point Sophie threatened he wouldn't go to Dumbledore's funeral, and yet he continued to say that he had screwed up terribly.

Oh how Vicky loved this boy, but boy did he drive her crazy sometimes. Here he was, cooped up in a hospital bed, and he was smiling at her! She could be ripping his head off at this point and there would probably still be a smile on the boy's face. But seriously, did he understand just how upset she could have been, especially if she hadn't heard about this at all until he was being released. Boy, that would be really bad. Vicky took a nice, long breath in, trying to calm herself some more. As part veela, she really had to control her anger, as things could get ugly if she didn't.
"I can't possibly be that hard to find Teddy dear. But yes, you should have had Sophie send word. Either way, I'm happy that you are at least still alive, a little worse for wear, but you will heal." A small smile appeared on her face in that moment, happy to know that he would heal. Well, that, and his smiling was starting to make her smile as well, funny how those things worked when it came to your perfect match. No matter how mad she was, he could still make her smile.
Vicky was then temporarily at a loss of words. Teddy made a good point. without Remus where would he be? Well, he wouldn't exist, thats for sure. However, Remus made it out of that battle fine in their own time, so why wouldn't he againin his own time? "Fine, that is a very good point. However, next time don't be so careless. The thought of you getting seriously hurt, Teddy I can't handle that."
((sorry, really short, slight lack of muse))

Teddy was... let's just say, blind. Yeah he knew she was upset that he was hurt, and that meant a lot to him, because she cared a lot about him, even after he hurt her so much by his stupid commitment issues. He was blind at the moment to how upset she was. He didn't even think twice about how upset she was at this moment. He was extremely happy right now, not just because of Victoire (though she was a bit part of it), but also because the future was looking bright, or at least brighter than it had happened in their time. Though he did realize there were just as much Resistance people as Death Eaters that had come back, he was sure they could change the future for the better... maybe.
"Well apparently I won't heal if I get out of this bed after a few days," Teddy said with a sigh, before adding, "I'm really sorry I didn't get word to you." He hated being in this bed. He couldn't do anything. And all hell was about to break loose. He wanted to help calm down that hell and get everything at least better than it was in the past. But maybe he was a bit too hopeful. Every little thing that they would do would change the future, and maybe in a huge way. If Mad-Eye lived, maybe something would happen and he'd mess up some event or something, and then Voldemort might not ever die.
The reason he felt that he had to protect his father through the battle was because while Remus made it through the first time, with the new time-travelers, his parents might not have made it through this time. They had to keep things balanced, and then tip the balance when the Battle of Hogwarts had come, at least that was what he hoped they would do. Maybe the time-travelers on the Order side should have a meeting and discuss this... "I'll try, but you know me, if one doesn't take risks, then we might not win this war. But Vicky, I will try my best to keep myself as safe as I can," Teddy said as he tried to get up, and hug her, but the spell my Madame Pomfrey prevented him. He really hated this stupid spell.

Vicky still couldn't help but smile at the helpless Teddy. Her cousin's always teased her about how stuck on him she was, and they all knew, one day, he would get over whatever his commitment issue was. He was her perfect match, even if he still had a hard time seeing it, they were, as put in faiy tales, meant to be. She shook her head and just sighed, a small laugh coming through her lips.
"Well then, I suggest that you stay put in that bed so that you can be useful when you are needed. Not to mention the fact that Vicky liked to see Teddy happy and healthy. She smiled at him though, again not able to help it. He must really feel sorry that he didn't get word out to her, because he sounded like he really meant it. "I guess I can forgive you about it, this time." She spoke with a small smirk on her lips. She paused to think for a moment. Vicky had been so upset about the whole Teddy getting injured thing that she actually hadn't found out what else had happened in that battle. "Everything in balance at this point though?" She asked, hoping he knew what she meant by that.
The smile was brought back to her lips once more. "Maybe if you think a little bit more before you jump then? Don't jump in all alone, we all want the best outcome for this." She noticed Teddy struggling, and Vicky laughed. "Boy, she has you pinned down good doesn't she? Smart woman."

Teddy actually was figuratively slapped in the face after the battle. When he saw his parents happy together, he wanted that. Well of course Teddy wasn't sure if he was ready, per se, for marriage, but when he saw them together happy, he almost forgot they were his parents and they had a whole bunch of problems getting to that point, and actually was jealous. Mostly the reason he was afraid of committing to someone was that he didn't trust himself to not make the worst moves in the world and screw things up and then they could never be friends again. He would prefer to be friends than enemies who couldn't stand to be in the same room of each other because he was such an idiot. But really, if you looked at it, Victoire didn't seem to be going anywhere, for now.
"Fine," Teddy said with an over-exaggerated sigh, "But only because Vicky likes to see me happy and healthy." Really, Teddy was at the point he would do just about anything Victoire asked him to do, unless it involved betraying him, then he'd not do it. He trusted her too much to even suspect her of anything like that, because he knew her quite well and knew she would never even think about betraying any of them. Anyways, Teddy actually kept his mother's ring on him all the time, just because... well he just felt better. It was kind of funny because his mother's ring was also on his mother's hand right now, there was just two of them. "Yeah, everything's good. My parents are going to get married, and everything looks good, well besides Dumbledore's death, but Uncle Harry said that was going to happen anyways."
"Think? Me, think before jumping in? That's preposterous!" Teddy said with a laugh, which hurt, but he was having fun. Stupid injuries. "Yeah, Smart and evil."

Vicky grinned at the minor victory she just had. It was kind of in her name to be victorious, that is what her name meant after all. Now, if only she could win the bigger battle and justmake Teddy let go of himself and be completely hers. That was another feat all together. Tonks convinced Lupin, why couldn't she convince Teddy? Sure, he was alot like his father in many ways, but he was also like his mother. Vicky just wished his mother's side would win out in his brain. However, plots for that victory still had to wait for another day, Teddy still needed to get himself fully healed before the battle for Hogwarts. Perhaps that battle, or the smaller battles leading up to it, will make him see the light.
She couldn't hold in the laughter at Teddy's statement and exasperated sigh. "Oh ya, so now you listen to the voice of reason." She shook her head and sighed. At least he knew that she wanted him to, well ya know, not die, and not get hurt. Sure, it may be difficult, but it was possible to get through a battle unharmed. She smiled at the end of Teddy's statement. "Well ya, that kinda did have to happen unfortunatly. If that one didn't, then the wand wouldn't have fallen into the right hands. But I'm so happy your parents are getting married now! I love weddings...." Vicky was in a way like her mother, wanting that princess style wedding. Must be the French blood in her. she didn't want a ball gown, but quite possibly a tiara for her big day, whenever that may be. Darn Teddy and commitment!
Vicky once again burst out into a fit of laughter. "I know, its hard for you to do. Can you possibly try it though? I know you do have a brain somewhere in that thick skull of yours." Vicky grinned evily for a moment "You just be thankful that its not me keeping you to that bed. There would have been ropes and spells keeping you down."

Teddy wasn't looking forward to the battles ahead, but then again, who would? There would be many people dying (hopefully his parents wouldn't) and a lot of fighting to be done. Who would've guessed that he would also be fighting a battle in his head. He was his parents' son, so there were to sides to his personality, and sometimes they argued with each other. I want this, but I'm too scared to do it, or something like that. It was kind of like that each time he got back together with Victoire.
"It happens only occasionally," Teddy said with a chuckle. Uh oh, her comment on weddings kinda freaked him, but he wouldn't show it. It was actually really weird, because like his father, his commitment issues wasn't because he was afraid of being tied to someone. It was that he was afraid the person he'd be tied to would regret being tied down to him. Like they got bored or something and he was the reason they were tied to him and they didn't want to. It was really weird, but that was Teddy for you. Weird. "Heh... yeah, weddings are cool. Maybe someday you'll get married!" Then maybe he would attend! Even if he wasn't the groom, which he wished to be.
"I have a brain? Darn. I was going to say, if I only had a brain, but you thwarted it," Teddy said with a laugh, before giving her a puppy dog frown, "You would? Maybe I would prefer Madame Pomfrey... though then I wouldn't be able to see you're lovely face everyday."
