Teddy of course was very crabby on the inside, being stuck in this bed. He wasn't really concentrating on keeping himself secret, but then again Eliza was probably the one to pick up on his hiding something because well she was Eliza, there was no better way to explain that in his mind.
"Don't worry, I'll be careful, I already am bound to a promise to try to stay safe," Teddy replied chuckling to himself about how she was worried about him, but not herself. However, that was how she was even in the future. He was barely injured and she was hurting even to move, yet she wanted to make sure he and the others were ok.

She smiled wryly at him when he chuckled. Something told her that it was about her lack of concern for her own health. She was Prussian! If she couldn't handle a little pain, how was she supposed to honor her heritage? Or supprt Harry, for that matter? She would have to be able to handle injuries and pain if there was going to be another battle (and she was fully expecting another battle). Still, she didn't like to see a comrade bed-bound. Especially one that seemed so irritated over it.
"Make sure you keep that promise, eh? If I know Death Eaters, und I should because I spent the better part of mein childhood spying on them, they haven't given up. That battle is just the first; there are more to come," she predicted somberly.

She already was sure there was going to be another battle! Well that was completely true. Teddy didn't want to think about that battle right now, because that was the battle in which his parents had died in. He hoped that between him and Sophie they could save both of their parents and live happily ever after. The Battle of Hogwarts. That was going to happen next May. It was scary that such a small battle took place and yet so many were injured already. They were lucky they only lost a few in the Battle of Hogwarts... well a few compared to the battle size.
"Oh yeah, I'm quite sure this isn't the last we'll hear from them. Now that Dumbledore is gone, Voldemort is sure to make his move," Teddy said. Now Teddy was so used to using You-Know-Who's name that he almost forgot those here didn't use his name that often, especially next year when a taboo will be put on the name.

She added the knowledge that Teddy didn't subscribe to the ridiculous notion that Voldemort's name was evil. He didn't live in eternal fear of a name like most wizards. That actually went into the category for proof of him being American. They hated blood but feared no names. Interesting bunch of people, the Americans.
"Voldemort is pulling us into a false sense of security," she predicted. "Watch. He'll wait until everyone's in one place and then sweep in to clean us up."

One place. Hogwarts. Though it didn't happen like she said really. Voldemort took over the ministry and easily the school. Then Voldemort herded all the minors into Hogwarts and then places them under the rule of terror, the worst Hogwarts had ever seen before. Probably not as bad as Eliza had it on the Eastern side of the Berlin Wall. It was still going to be pretty bad.
"I bet he is. Just you wait he'll take over the Ministry and Hogwarts, and before we know it all we can do is try to fight from the inside out," Teddy wouldn't be at Hogwarts, but he'd probably visit the DA in the Room of Requirement. It would work out in the end hopefully.

That all sounded like something Voldemort would do. Her grandmother had told her that back when the Death Eaters first rose to power in East Berlin, they had segregated the magical community to specific parts of East Berlin. Their excuse at the time had been preventing "tainting" of existant magical bloodlines through marriage to muggles. They had, in reality, proceeded to dusk the magical community with an iron fist. Which was how Eliza would later learn that Communist Death Eaters were worse than regular ones.
"That sounds like what the Death Eaters that rose to power in East Germany did. They adopted the Communist beliefs of the Soviets und then segregated the magical community of the East. They put us in ghettos to prevent "tainting existing bloodlines" through intermarriage with muggles. Made it a hell of a lot harder to get rations."

Teddy just hoped that this time it could be different. But no one in the Resistance knew the final horcrux, or the reason it didn't work out the first time. The only one who knew that was the assassin who killed Voldemort. Maybe whoever killed Voldemort, would destroy the horcrux or whatever kept him alive, and Harry could kill Voldemort at the Battle next May. That was the only thing Teddy could think of. Of course he would be searching for why Voldemort wouldn't die, and try to prevent the future he grew up in, even if it... even if he died trying. Teddy wasn't one to just sit around and depend on another.
"Let's just hope what happened in East Germany doesn't happen here as well," Teddy said seriously with a grim grimace. But he soon smiled, because he wasn't one to stay serious. "All we can do now is look to the future, remember the past, but not dwell on it, yeah? Let's not have history repeat itself again."

She really hoped that the Italians came through. It was reassuring to have the Cavaliere on your side when fighting a battle; they were extremely adept at fighting. It came win the breeding, she guessed. They had been mercenaries before they'd been the defenders of the Curia. It was probably much nicer to be a bodyguard than a mercenary, but she was just guessing.
"I saw some Cavaliere participating in the battle," she remembered. "I hope that this means that he Ministry und the Curia have made their peace."

Teddy was actually surprised when he heard that she saw some of the Curia people at the battle. Didn't they not interfere last time? Was times really changing? Why did he remember the Resistance Camp and the Curians not interfering with it at this time? It was all so confusing to him, so he didn't really think about how much it was changing already.
"Well we can use all the help we can get. Voldemort's a huge threat, and the more great fighters, the better chance we have at beating him," Teddy replied with a smile. He really knew they would need more help to win against Voldemort. Last time they had lost for a few decades.

"It's worrying, though...I saw Auditore, too. Mein Gott, I hope the Italians contain their verdammt civil war," she groaned. "Trust me, you don't want the Fifth Italian Civil War spilling over into England. The Fourth one wound up spilling into West Berlin und we're still rebuilding sections of the city that got burnt down."
The Curia was better-known in the East and the Mediterranean than it was in the West. The Italian Civil Wars, though known of outside of the area the Italians generally contained their conflicts to, we're much more irritating to the Wizarding communities of those regions...especially the ones that picked the wrong side and got their cities burned down by the Curia in retaliation.

"Oh wow. I never even knew all this stuff about Italy. I feel stupid. Oh well. Anyways, I hope these Auditore people can be defeated with the power of everyone here," Teddy said, trying to struggle out of bed, but it was impossible. This was the part about getting hurt he hated most. He had to stay still in order to get healed. He was the only one allowed to keep him still without complaining.
The news of these Auditore was actually quite worrying. More and more enemies kept piling up. Who knew if this would start to involve other countries like the United States, or Australia, or France, or pretty much everyone else. First World Wizarding War, anyone?

"They like their privacy, the Italians; they're almost as bad as the Japanese. Germany, Italy und Japan are close allies, though, so we know a lot about each other," she explained. "It comes with the territory."
She really didn't want this to blossom into a Wizarding World War, but that was the direction it was heading in. The tensions between the groups and nations involved had been building for years; it was all coming to a head at the worst possible time, though.
