Lianna walked into Hogsmeade, she was bored, there was nothing to do and she was in a bad mood. She needed to talk to anyone who didn't know her. Ooh was this going to be fun.. Being a Veela she always had eyes on her and people trying to get her to go out with them. If only everyone knew her boyfriend would rip them in half, then the day could only get better. She sat down on a bench and started humming all kids of songs. Mainly ones she'd sung while Leo was playing guitar, she always sung along. She started mouthing the words to one of them,

And she faded off going to tapping the bench. Wearing her favorite pair of jeans, a black pair with studded back pockets and a pink and green belt. She was wearing a t-shirt her mama had given her and a pair of boots. She loved being able to have the best stuff ever. Although being in the south she had to take the longest flight to the fashion capital but it was always worth it.

Riley had finally gotten fed up with the beauracratic bullshit involved with Anabelle coming to Hogwarts and left, irritated. Her heels clicked across the cobblestones of Hogsmede as she walked through the pathetic little village, and she loosened her tie. As she unbottoned the top few buttons of her jacket she pulled a cigarette out of the package in her pocket and stuck in her mouth. A snap of her fingers, and it was lit.

She exhaled a thin trail of smoke as she walked down to her and Lia's agreed meeting place. She pointedly ignored the looks she received. If they knew her pedigree, they would realize that they had absolutely no chance.

She smirked at her younger friend when she reached the bench, cigarette carefully balanced between the index and middle fingers of her right hand.

"Buon giorno," she greeted Lia.

Lianna looked up, at her friend. Her dark eyes and hair weren't what most expected of Veela, but she always had been different, she loved it. She spun a piece of hair around her finger and smiled.

"Ciao bella." she said. She'd always called her friends 'bella' it meaning beautiful and she thought all her friends should know they're beautiful.

Lia looked around being careful was something her friend here was good at but there was always something to be careful about.

"Anything new going on? Nothing happens at the school, I refuse to be a part of it as well." she shrugged and scrunched her hair.

Riley took another drag from her cigarette and cast her eyes around. It was generally agreed that Riely wasn't dangerous because she was attractive or only because she was a Legilimens; she was a dangerous spy to make an enemy of because she was a formidable Occulumens. Those mental walls of steel came in very handy in Britain, she'd discovered. Especially at Hogwarts. There was a Legilimens or two amongst the Death Eaters that had infiltrated the school. They'd all been surprised to have their own mental probes turned around on them.

"Hn. A Death Eater here or there, but everything is currently peaceful. We're being lulled into a false sense of security; it's the calm before the storm," she reported. "I imagine that Voldemort expects to sweep in victoriously and overtake us completely. I'll have the Cavaliere bolster the school's defenses."

Lianna looked at the sky. Why did it always have to start like this? She scoffed and looked at Riley, and shook her head. She hated when they had to get involved in anything, it meant she'd have to do more and more paper work. Her mama had always said that calmer it got, the more work there was to be done. Why couldn't evil take a break for once! It all would make sense if they would stop planning for the slightest moment, and take a vacation.

Lia cursed under her breath. Even for someone like her, she never cursed. It was against God and her views. She collected herself and said, "Great, more work. You know how much I hate having to do mama's overflow work.. So more defense... I'm so hiding away next year. It's going to suck.. I can already tell."

Riley chuckled softly when Lia swore and flicked the cigarette butt to he ground, crushing it under her heel. She couldn't blame Lia for getting annoyed; there was always a surplus of work to be done when things like this started up. Alliance-building was stressful enough without a war looming in the near future. Lia and the rest of the Council would probably spend most of the following year in the Council Hall in their headquarters in Diagon Alley. She didn't envy them their job.

"Si, we'll both be very busy during these next few months," she agreed with a sigh. "But the Cavaliere should be happy. They haven't had a war to fight since the last Civil War."

Lianna beated her forehead on her hand. This meant work, work and more work. How was she supposed to go on a date if she had all kinds of work to do? She sighed, and started fake whimpering, she didn't want to work at all. She pouted at Riley with a face that said, why me?

After all that she said, "But I don't want to be kept up in that hole. I have to sit in there with out being allowed to see daylight till it's time for bed. And everyone wonders why I'm pale?"

It was true, Riley mused. Ana complained of the same thing. She'd told Riley many a horror story as they returned to the Salla della Curia after a meeting that had begun in the wee hours of the morning ended in the waning hours of the night. Ana's most frequent complaint was about the interference of retired Curia members; Riley could attest to that. Their grandmother frequently came to hover over Riley's shoulder and watch her work.

"Blame Voldemort; he's the one that won't stay dead," she grumbled. "Hopefully, we'll get everything squared away after he finally dies for real and things will stay peaceful for a while."

"Trust me, I'll be glad the day he dies for good. Do you know how many Slytherins support him? I'm amongst the few who don't. Pansy Parkinson, a loser by nature; I think she supports him just because Draco Malfoy does. I swear, these people are horrible. And everyone says I'm mean? These kids would hate me if they talked to me got on my bad side." She rolled her eyes. "They don't even dress well. Everything they own is so last year."

She scratched her head, she really didn't want to be stuck in a room where all she wanted to do was beat her head on a wall. Her mother and her worked well together but they often came to a disagreement, most of the time it was about a certian group but they always had difficulty figuring out all the paperwork.

"Lia, mia colomba, Pansy Parkinson is lemming," Riley pointed out. "She would worship a giant spaghetti monster if Draco Malfoy told her to. As for the rest, they're just brain-washed fools. Try to avoid spending time with them; you'll lose IQ points just from proximity."

Riley had also been among the few Slytherin that refused to support the Dark Lord. None of them had the nerve to call her a blood-traitor, though; she was far too intimidating for that, apparently. She hated the term blood-traitor, anyway. It was ridiculous. How could anyone betray their blood? It was just another in a long line of worn-out arguments for blood purity.

"I pray to God half of them realize how stuid this all is.." Lianna rolled her eyes again, "Ooh, good burn, mind if I use it sometime? And besides, I don't hang out with anyone unless they qualify all my standards. You should know how high they are. Do you rememer my first year when I drew my knife on one kid because they tried to get me to support the Death Eaters?"

She loved this, it was great to remember things that happened five years ago. That was the year before she got together with Leo too, so it was a big year. She smiled at the thought, she'd had that kid running like a cheetah to get away from her. Was she really that scary? Never seemed like it, oh well, guess some people are scariest when they never know it.

"We can pray, but they probably never will. It's unfortunate," Riley added, rolling her eyes. "Sure, you can use that one. Not like I'm going to anytime soon. I make a conscious effort to avoid contact with my old schoolmates. Of course I remember that, by the way. They tried the same thing the first time I came to the school. As I said, they are lemmings."

Lianrarely got that angry. When she did, though, Riley always thought that it was a riot. She was never on the receiving end of her friend's anger, so it all worked out for her.

Lianna smirked, "Well, the more they don't listen to me, the closer to death they get." she shrugged. She smiled, "Yes! Something new to call someone! Alright, now. So how've you been? Anything been going on recently? Besides the mission.."

She stretched, "No one hit on my Leo did they? You know how I get about those girls.."

"Everything's been hectic around the Salla," Riley grumbled. "We're preparing for Ana's arrival next week. I've been in contact with Mariella and Shayne as well, trying to get that damned treaty Dumbledore wanted drawn up. It's a real pain to get full Council approval for treaties, but it's a necessary evil, I suppose. At least it's hard for any one member of the Council to become too powerful."

Riley laughed when Lia asked after Leo. They were both easily made jealous; it made them a funny pair, but they certainly seemed to get along very well.

"That I know of, nobody flirted with Leo," she reassured Lia.

"Well, at least Ana's coming. I have an extra skull headband to give her. I found them in the girlest muggle shop.. I have no idea why they would be sold in a shop like that.." Lianna shook her head. "Well, I'm sure mama said yes to it.. She isn't fond of many people in England but she does like the country. Even if it often smells like a sewer."

Lianna chuckled, "Oh good, because the list will keep getting longer.."
