Liz was kind of nervous. Teddy (living up to his promise of being a regular) had been coming in for days insisting that she met her cousins. Something about her being all that was left of Fred and she should meet her family and blah...she'd agreed because she wanted him to leave her alone about it. He'd happily said that he'd contact Victoire and ran off. It left Liz standing there wondering if it would be mean to make him pick up his mother's considerable tab.
Well, Teddy had bounced into her store that morning and announced that Victoire had apparently agreed to have lunch with Liz (Liz suspected that he'd tricked her). Therefore, Lisette found herself waiting for her cousin (the same one that had previously believed her to be dead) to show up.

Things had been going good with Teddy since his accident and the whole not telling her part. They still weren't an 'official' thing again, but they were so off and on who ever knew when they actually were? Vicky smiled at the thought a little bit, and then smiled at the boy's candy addiction which had ended up leading her to where she was going. Vicky knew the Weasley family was big, just look at the cousins she knew! Now however, she was being told, thanks to Teddy, to go and meet this Lisette person.
Vicky was unsure as to how this meeting was going to go. Were they going to hit it off and become friends? Or were they going to have a very awkward conversation, leaving Vicky to try to find an excuse to wander off? Trying to Keep an open mind vicky walked to were she was told to meet her cousin. Fortunatly her cousin wasn't hard to spot though, signature red hair of the Weasleys for the win!
Vicky walked up to the girl, a smile on her face "Lisette, I presume?" She said, trying to sound as friendly and un-awkward as possible.

Wait...Teddy was with Victoire, but...Liz was Teddy's age, so he had to be older than Victoire. Liz would be having a discussion with Teddy about her cousins' ages. The way Teddy talked about Victoire had lead Liz to assume that they were roughly the same age...
She smiled nervously and hoped that her cousin didn't immediately bombard her with questions about her parents and "Where the hell have you been?! We thought you were dead for twenty years!" like Sophie had when they met. That had been uncomfortable. Sophie had lectured her about how upset her uncle George had been and demanded to know why she hadn't even written them one letter in all those years.
"Yeah. You can call me Liz, most everyone does," she replied. "You can sit down if you want; I think Teddy has his sister's boyfriend making sure that we have an actual conversation."

Vicky raised her eyebrows slightly. She had to grin at her 'boyfriends' desire for the two girls to talk, and the notion that he had a spy on them. She took a seat across from Liz, still feeling slightly awkward. Here was a cousin that she hadn't actually met before, someone who she didn't even really know existed until Teddy had come running to her, telling her all about another Weasley girl.
Where would this conversation begin? Sure, Vicky had a million questions in her mind, but she didn't even know where to start with those. Why did Teddy have to make her do this alone? It would probably have been a thousand times less awkward if he had just dragged her along to this candy coffee shop that he had become addicted to rather than just telling her to go off on her own and meet her cousin. She was going to have to tell him all this later.
"I wouldn't be surprised if he was spying himself actually. He seems really keen that we meet and get along." Vicky smiled a little bit, trying to be as friendly as possible. Maybe they could bond over teasing Teddy? "I don't even know what to say right now honestly. Seems strange finding out about another cousin after so many years."

"Um...do you want coffee or something? I get the feeling that there's a lot of talk about," Liz explained.
Well...Victoire seemed nice so far. That was a relief. Liz really disliked being yelled at by people that she only knew by reputation...or hug-attacked by them, which had been the case with one of them. It was more pleasant than the yelling, but she still hadn't been happy when she'd fallen and hit her head.
She was sure that she'd be getting an earful from Teddy when he popped in like he did every morning the next day. He'd want to know how it all went. She hoped that she had good news to give him.
"You're telling me," she replied with a smile, rolling her eyes. "He's been bugging me about it for days. I was about to make him pick up Tonks' tab. And I know what you mean...I didn't even realize that there were other Weasleys besides my dad and uncle George before Teddy started talking about you guys. The only cousin I knew was my aunt Jak's son Griffin."

Vicky thought about it, actually thought about it. Getting a drink would mean that it was slightly harder to get away if things got really awkward, but on the other hand, if someone was spying it was easier for them to beleive that things were going well, even if they did turn bad. After a moment Vicky said "Some tea would be lovely, there probably is alot to talk about, especially if you want to know about the rest of the many Weasley children." She smiled slightly.
She continued to eye up Liz, trying to figure out more about her by her appearance, he posture, her expressions. You can tell so much about a person by those things, if you look for them. She was also trying to figure out if Liz was going to be like some of her other cousins in mannerism. The Weasleys were quite alike in some ways, completely different in others, just like most families were. However, growing up not knowing the rest of your extended family, that could have made Liz different than the rest of them.
Vicky couldn't help but grin at what Liz was saying. "He does get himself stuck on things at times. He can be very stubborn, just like his father was. You should have heard what I got before I agreed to this. He was like...bouncing, as he quite often does when excited about that sort of thing." She rolled her eyes a little bit. "Didn't realise there were other Weasleys? Seriously? Most people look at red hair and then just ask if you are a Weasley. I was fortunate to have my mother's hair, not my fathers you uncle Bill I guess. The Weasley family is huge, slightly rediculous really."

"One tea coming up," she hummed.
She went about starting the machines to get everything brewing. Her aunt had taught her to do this. Jak had claimed that it was so Liz could one day take over the "family business," but Liz suspected that it was really to keep her from pulling pranks on unsuspecting tourists. Liz got terribly bored just watching the canals. Now, rowing a gondola was fun. She'd done that as a summer job for a few years.
She knew that Victoire was sizing her up; it was only fair. She was doing the same to her cousin out of the corner of her eye. It was something she'd picked up, working around her aunt's cafe/inn as a child. One could never tell who was harmless and who was a creep if they didn't develop a sharp eye for details. Now that she'd opened up shop in England, Liz had made a game of picking Death Eaters out of the crowd. She had picked out seven so far.
"Au, yes...the bouncing. He's knocked over several of my tables with that," Liz chuckled. "And I'm from north Italy; there's a lot of redheads. My aunt Jak kind of hates the world in general and the Weasleys in particular, so she told me the bare minimum to keep me quiet while I was growing up. Everything else that I know I heard in rumors. I think my uncle Jared would have told me more, but he's mute. I have noticed that the Weasleys' red hair seems to be notorious around here; I get asked about it a lot. Somehow, I was always under the impression that Aunt Jak was understating when she said that the Weasleys were a large family; moving here confirmed it."

Vicky beamed. Tea would make this better, tea made everything better for her. She waited patiently, knowing that even in the wizarding world things could not always come instantly. Sad fact but true. Besides, Vicky also wasnt lazy, and she quite often would do things the long way, by hand, anyways.
Vicky was happy to note to herself that Liz did not appear to be threatening in any way, and thus relaxed a little. It wasn't that she didn't trust Teddy's judgment about people, but he was known for jumping the gun at times, especially when there were sugary substances involved. Thank you Remus Lupin for passing on a sweet tooth to your child. Vicky shook her head a little at the thought, wondering what Rems would have said if he knew how much Teddy like sweets, and if he knew that Teddy was his son. That would be even more awkward than this conversation.
Once again, Vicky couldn't help but laugh at Teddy's bouncing. "I could see that. He can get rather over-excited about things. No matter how much I have tried I cannot teach that boy to relax a little bit more and sit still!" She sighed in mock exasperation. Vicky was quiet and listened attentively as Liz spoke a bit of her upbrining. She nodded a few times. "Why does she hate the Weasleys?" She asked. "And yes, it is. Very few Weasleys are born without. And yes, just with me and my, well, our cousins, there are eleven. Fred, Roxy, Molly, Lucy, Rosie, Hugo, Dom, Louis, James, Albus, and Lily. Plus you and me makes fifteen. Then of course you can kinda add in Teddy and Sophie, but they aren't by blood thankfully. And those are just the Weasleys, and Potters, that we know about. Now we add in you to he mix.....ya, huge family!"

Liz glared at the machine when it made an odd noise and refused to turn on. Stupid thing. It would not give her grief that day! She forbade it! She'd already had to explain to several customers that the machines were temperamental and not about to blow up and, no, she never let Fred and George Weasley behind the counter. Seriously, did these people think she was stupid?
She made an irritated noise and mumbled several expletives under her breathe in Italian as she rooted around for a wrench to hit the machine with. Once she did, she gave the stupid troublesome thing a solid whack. It stopped making noises, so she smiled and nodded to herself. She stowed the wrench back under the counter.
"Oh, I'm used to hyperactive boys. My cousin Griffin is pretty much the poster-boy for ADHD. He used to bounce around the shop front of my aunt's place. He actually managed to break three tables like that one day," she remembered.
She shook her head and threw her hands in the air in mock surrender when Victoire asked about her aunt.
"My aunt is eccentric and usually more than a little odd. She claims that she just dislikes my father for no apparent reason, but I think she blames him for my mom dying. In lieu of having him to despise, she hates his family. I've long since stopped trying to understand her convoluted logic."
She loosed a single, long, shrill whistle at the list of cousins that she had. Crazy, just crazy. She was now firmly convinced that Jak had intentionally understated just how freaking huge the Weasley family was.
"That's a lot of people...family reunions must be interesting to plan," she commented.
