"Fred, if everyone was like me, we'd live in a very boring world," she pointed out with a laugh. "People like you, who stand up for what they believe in, are what keeps the world around. And people like me exist to keep people like you from running off and getting yourselves killed."
She smiled at him over her shoulder as she picked up a framed photo that his spell had missed. Glancing down, she recognized it as the only photo of Lisa and Jak as children that existed. She didn't remember when it had been taken, but she loved the little photo. It was one of the few things her sister had ever smiled for.

"See? You just said how people as great as you can be amazing assets. See, without you, I might run off and accidently get myself blown up!" Fred said slightly serious, though with a hint of a joke there.
"Oh hey, who's that pretty little girl?" Fred said walking up, seeing the photo in her hand. He knew it was her, but hey, he might as well compliment her right?

"People like me are useful as the voice of reason," she laughed. "Which isn't always a very fun thing to be."
She smiled when he commented on the photo and pointed to the smiling girl, the younger one. Lisa hadn't smiled in the photo; she looked tired and worn, even then. She could've only been about eleven at the time.
"The smiling one is my little sister, Jak. The other one is me," she replied.

"It may not be fun, but it's quite important!" Fred said happily.
Oh, he thought she was prettier when she smiled, but even when she wasn't smiling, she was pretty. Hey now, don't go get the idea he was creeping on Lisa's younger self or anything. Just because he thought she was a pretty little kid when she was young, didn't mean that he was some pervert or something.
"Oh, I think you look quite cute," Fred said with a soft chuckle, "You almost remind me of this picture of my sister." He looked at her serious, before laughing. "Just kidding."

"Even though half of the time, nobody listens," she replied dryly.
She'd told her sister so many times that she'd lost count that something she was doing was a bad idea only to have Jak brush her off. Needless to say, when Lisa was cleaning up after her, Jak hadn't ignored her. Unfortunately, the cycle had just repeated a few weeks later. How it always worked with little siblings, she guessed.
"Your sister? Ginny? Geez, she was little the last time I saw her," Lisa recalled.

"Hey, I would most likely listen to you!" Fred insisted.
Of course, there would be some times when he wouldn't because the call to the battlefield was great. He wouldn't let others do his job for him. But if it wasn't something like a big huge battle where his whole family would be (excluding Percy, who he said he didn't consider family anymore, but really deep down he wanted Percy to stop being a prat and come home).
"Ah yes. You should meet her sometime. She does have the Weasley temper, so watch out. Otherwise she's a bucket full of fire, especially when it comes to Harry Potter," Fred said, snickering at the last part.

"You didn't listen to me when you were still a kid!" she retorted.
Though a prankster by nature, Lisa had tried to warn Fred and George when they were doing something that was beyond ill-advised. Not that they'd listened; she was pretty sure that they had pointedly ignored her, but she'd said something. That counted for something, didn't it? Well, she thought that it did, and she would leave it at that.
"Ah, yes, the Weasley Temper...I've learned to have a healthy fear of that," she commented.

"That was different!" Fred said, trying to think of how it would be any different.
They were kids, and didn't know better, yeah, that'd work. Or something like he wasn't dating her back then. Or that he wasn't as mature back then. Well, he wasn't that mature to others when he thought of it, but he thought of himself as plenty mature.
"And it's smart to fear it. Especially when Ginny goes off. Or Mum," Fred said laughing a bit.

"Oh? How?" she demanded.
She quirked an eyebrow at him, unsure of what had changed. Even if they were dating, he was the same old Fred that he'd always been. She liked him, even when he didn't listen to reasonable suggestions, but, Dieu, he could be infuriating sometimes. He was good for ignoring suggestions when he didn't want to hear what was being said (not that she wasn't, as well, but she imagined that it was equally annoying when she did it, too).
"Well, if that incident a few minutes ago is any indicator, you guys get pretty violently angry," she pointed out jokingly.

"Well, er... you see..." Fred said trying to by himself time to think of something good to say, "Oh! I'm more grown up now! And yeah... er, the threat is larger now?"
He hoped that would work, because otherwise he'd be a liar. And that was something he didn't want to be. Yeah, the threat was much larger now. Death, torture, or Death and Torture of everyone he loved. Much different than third degree burns all over his body from a prank gone awry.
"Well... yeah," Fred said looking down pretending to be embarrassed about that outburst.

She laughed and shook her head before kissing his cheek. It was hard to remember sometimes that Fred was still very much a kid; he was only twenty...geez. He was only twenty, and she was pushing thirty (okay, not really, but four years really wasn't much in the grand scheme of things...). He was gonna make her feel old; she could just tell.
"Geez, kid," she laughed softly. "You're going to start making me feel old if we go down this road any further."

Fred couldn't help but laugh at Analisa's comment on him making her feel old. They were only what, 6 years apart? That wasn't long at all! That was like Tonks and Malfoy! Never mind. That was a pretty big gap, but only because it was those two he thought of as an example.
"Didn't we already clear this? I love older women," Fred joked.

She laughed and shook her head. In reality, he probably just didn't care much about ages; that seemed like a very Fred-thing. She just...couldn't help but wonder if it might have been better for him to ask someone out that was closer to his age. She'd be forty when he was just in his early thirties...assuming they stayed together that long. She still wasn't sure that they would.
"Funny, kid," she joked back sarcastically. "Just...think about it. I'll be thirty when you're twenty-four. It makes it seem just...odd."

"Pish-posh!" Fred responded with a smug little smile, "Why would that matter? There are plenty of others who are even farther in age from each other. Age really is just a number, all that matters is what's on the inside, and that transcends time."
Really, he didn't care about age, at all. Really, Bill and Fleur were 7 years apart, and they really loved each other, so why couldn't he have someone like that. Just because he was the younger one, didn't mean it was weird. Why did the guy always have to be the older one?

She couldn't help but smile at what he said. It was corny, yes, but at the very least, it was heart-felt. That was a lot more than most people would ever bother with. It put her at ease, just a little, to know that he honestly didn't care. She was usually hesitant to get into relationships; in her past experiences, love was a painful thing (because she did love her parents, and she had loved Jaden, despite everything they did). She didn't want to get involved again, but she would try. Because it hadn't been Fred that did all of those things, and he didn't deserve to pay for them.
"That was probably one of the corniest things you've ever said," she teased gently. "But it was sweet...merci."
