You know, it was very strange to go back in time. Rose had gone to sleep one night in her own time, only to wake up in a different time, which she now knows as her parent's time. Stranger still, Rose was currently only one year youngger than her parents, how odd is that? Oh, and don't forget the fact that Rose didn't exactly even remember her parents from her own time, seeing as they died when she was four. Ya, that was enough to mess up a kid wouldn't you agree?
Well, Rose strolled down the main floor corridor slowly. It was still very strange to be in a different time, and not able to say it to anyone except those she knew were from her own time, and a few select teachers. She occasionally passed by someone that she knew in the future as an adult, but not here so she could not say 'hey, how you today?' as if she knew them. She wondered how her brother and cousins were doing at that moment, having not seen them for a little while.
Rose sighed, stopping to lean against a familiar statue. Sure, she had not attended Hogwarts for too long in her own time, but it was long enough to become familiar with the place, and find favorite spots to stop and people watch. That is what Rose decided to do at that moment. She placed down her backpack, having left her final class of the day a little while ago, and just leaned against the statue, trying to soak up the familiarity of it and make sense of what was happening.

Snape and Defense Against the Dark Arts was terrible today. Snape seemed to pick on him even more, and of course Harry wasn't able to answer everything he threw at him. It was almost so maddening he was thinking of quitting DADA, even if he had to have it to be an Auror. Snape was just unbarable. If someone came up and told him that Snape wasn't evil, Harry wouldn't believe them unless it was Dumbledore. Harry hurried out of the classroom getting out first, hoping to avoid the glare and call of the professor for some detention or something like that.
Sighing in relief Harry hurried down the stairs towards the Great Hall. He wasn't planning on eating dinner, but sitting down somewhere outside of it and reading the Half-Blood Prince's book. He still hadn't read all of the little scribbled notes on the semi-fragile pages, and some of these spells intrigued him. Like Sectumpsempra. That sounded quite cool.
Harry looked around outside of the Great Hall, spotting a red head, double taking because she looked a bit like Ron, or Hermione. Harry simply shrugging internally and look a seat near the girl, though not because she was there, but because it was relatively free of traffic and he had sat here a few times before. He opened his Potions books and flipped to the page he left off.

Having sat for a few minutes without actually doing anything Rose began to get fidgity. She never was the type to sit and do nothing for very long, but she didn't exactly have anything to do at that time. The books in the school's library were slightly out of date, according to her own time, and they seemed so ancient to her. However, it wasn't like Rose could just run home and grab one of her books to read. For one, the publish date had yet to come around in time, and two, she didn't even understand how she had come to be in this time to begin with.
This was how most of her days at this old Hogwarts were spent. Her classes were a breeze, much like they were in her own time, and of course Rose only had her mother to thank for that. She smiled at the though, having seen her sixteen-year-old mother in passing earlier that day. She shook her head, still trying to wrap her brain around the fact that her parents were a year older than her, and her Aunt Ginny, ya, Rose was the same age as her!
To top off her day, Rose caught sight of an all too familiar face and her breath caught. She caught sight of a certain boy, whom she knew and loved very much as his adult self. Now, given the fact that one Mr. Harry Potter had helped to raise Rose and her brother Hugo after her parents died, it was very hard to not jump up from where she had plopped herself to tackle her uncle in a big bear hug and say just how much she had missed him. How could she explain that she was his neice, when he wasn't married, and had no siblings to speak of? Oh right, she couldn't!
Rose bit her tongue, keeping herself from saying anything that would cause trouble. When she had herself fully composed, Rose placed a small smile on her face. After once again trying to wrap her brain around the fact that her uncle was young, she said casually "What do you have there? Interesting book?"

Harry was slightly lost in his book as it was offering shortcuts for the Draught of Living Death. Harry tended to trust the book since it did help him win over his potions professor. It was probably the first time in a long time he had fun in Potions. Even if DADA suffered it's dislike. At least he was good at DADA, since he had fought it all.
Harry looked up at the girl he had spotted earlier. She looked so familiar, like he knew her, but he knew he didn't. Maybe she was a cousin of Ron or something with that gleeming red hair or something like that. Blimey, she looked like a cross between Hermione and Ron, but she was too old to be that, so Harry just let it go.
"Yeah, Potions book," Harry replied looking up from his book to look at Rose. Harry wasn't sure if he could trust her, since he hadn't seen her around and the transfers were very suspicious to him. Oh yes, a great plan is flee a country with a Dark Lord to enter another country with a Dark Lord. It made so much sense. But Harry wouldn't pass futher judgement until later.

Rose watched her young uncle as he examined the book. His young form was so much like his older self. At least, what he was now. She grinned a little bit, thinking about how similar the older and younger Harry were to each other. It made her miss her uncle terribly, and she hoped that she could see him soon, maybe talk to him and try to sort things out.
Then the young Harry began to speak again. Her nose scrunced at the topic. "Ew, potions. Always was my worst subject." However, at the thought at who she was talking to Rose couldn't help but smile. Uncle Harry had mentioned before how potions was a subject that he never favored, possibly something that Rose took on in her many years growing up with him. Or possibly she she just inherited her dislike for potions from her father.
Rose shook her head once more. "Oh well, everyone has to study at some point right? Even if studying includes potions." At that point Rose realized that this was the year where she would have to choose what she actualy wanted to be when she grew up. Slightly strange considering she would not even be born for another few years technically.... How would that transfer back to her own time? Rose hid the smile that formed on her lips at that point, thinking that Harry might find it odd that after expressing her dislike for potions she was smiling.

Harry smiled at her disgust. Well that was true to him as well. Normally he hated Potions, especially since he was terrible at it alone, but this year he liked it mostly because he was good at it and his professor loved him. Of course this new found greatness in potions was due to Mr. Half-Blood Prince. And of course Slughorn had this super all-important memory he was suppose to get. He was still in the process of figuring out how to wiggle the memory from his Potions Professor.
"Normally I am too, but this year I seem to have an edge of a sort," Harry replied smiling, thinking that they hadn't introduced themselves so he added, "I'm Harry Potter, pleased to meet you." He was a nice guy unless you showed some sign of betrayal or something similiar. He hated those who used mud-blood or blood-traitor, so a use of either made Harry not a pleasant person. Though he was still cautious of her, and would not trust her easily, though if she did turn out to be a Weasley, or a Granger, he would probably show some bias to trusting her, since their families were extremely nice and all of them liked him and were trustworthy, mostly the Weasleys, but the Grangers he didn't know; if they were like their daughter they would be amazing and more than he could ever ask for in a friend.
"I don't really study, more like skim," Harry replied quickly, not wanting to tell the truth nor lie to this girl. Harry didn't like lying at all, though he would if he had to. He was truthful and would tell the truth as much as possible, even if people didn't like the truth, like last year.

Rose nodded at Harry's statement about having an edge. She could recall something going on in the 6th year of her parent's schooling, and she remembered her uncle telling her how her mother hated one of his school textbooks. Rose wondered at that point if possibly it was potions that her mother had hated the textbook for? Rose didn't give the thoght too much attention though, because she was stillt rying to stay present in the conversation.
"Must be nice to have an edge in potions. That is the only class I have ever had any trouble with. My uncle quite often tells me that I must have inheritated my mother's brains in everything but potions." She shook her head with a small smile, wishing now more than ever that she had her mother to compare herself to, if even for a little while.
Harry then introduced himself. Honestly, after five full years in the wizarding world did the young version of her uncle not know that everyone knew him already? Granted, Rose couldnt' say right off that she knew him personally, hence why she had been keeping her brains and words in check to as to not arise suspician. "I'm Rose Weasley, please to meet you as well," Rose responded, wondering how Harry would react to the last name. He would probably think her to be some cousin of Ron, at least, that is what she hoped at that point.
Rose then moved back to the previous topic "Ya, I hardly study myself. According to my old teachers, before I transfered here, I am as bright as my mother was at my age. Potions has become easier, but it is still my worst subject by far." Rose shook her head softly at the topic, happy that she at least had this in common with her Uncle, so it made conversation a little bit easier, at least for the time being.

By now the Half-Blood Prince's book was closed, because he was closing it as they talked. Of course he wouldn't talk about it to anyone he just met, or even Dean or Seamus, because he wasn't sure he could trust them completely, or they could get jealous and steal it. Hopefully that wouldn't happen, especially since only Hermione, Ron and Ginny knew about his little edge in Potions. It was really nice and gave him the chance to get the Felix Felicis, which would make a huge difference in one of the days.
"That's because Potions is such a hard class, and it is nice to have an edge. Slughorn says I must have inherited my mother's brains," Harry laughed happily. She seemed quite nice, and well Harry was starting to like her, of course like a friend almost, though he was still wary about revealing anything of importance.
Did he hear that right? Weasley? Ron, she must be related, but he wasn't aware of her most likely. That seemed a little suspicious, but he wasn't sure quite yet. That was an interesting twist. Plus she didn't seem to know him, since she wasn't saying, 'of course you're Harry Potter, everyone knows you!', which is what he was usually replied to with. Sometimes it was with excitement, sometimes with loathing. It was nice to meet someone who didn't know him, or at least seemed to act like it. "Are you related to Ron Weasley? I mean I don't think that it's a common last name, unless you count the 9 of them and their cousins." It was a weird like name, at least, since he hadn't heard it and have them NOT be related to Ron in someway.
"I do the best in Defense Against the Dark Arts, even if the professor has it out for me," Harry replied, "But Hermione, my friend Hermione Granger, if you didn't know, makes me study sometimes. Gets a bit annoying, but I like the thought, plus it helps me pass."

Rose grinned as she noticed the book Harry had been reading was shut. That, at least, meant that she was a worthy enough conversation to pay attention to. She shifted her position into a more comfortable one, just in case she and Harry began to get into a deep conversation, you never knew. It was still odd, seeing her uncle as a sixteen-year-old boy instead of his proper age, but it at least seemed to be getting easier to talk to him.
Her head nodded in agreeance to Harry's statement. Potions was a hard class. Although, Rose had to admit that some people found the class easy, even if she didn't. "I guess it takes a certain type of brain to do well in potions. Maybe you just have to be somewhat creative with it." She shrugged a little at that, it was a true thought, though possibly wrong.
After she introduced herself Rose studied Harry's face carefully. Introducing herself as a Weasley could be trouble, however, given the fact that her father had five brothers and one sister, even though one brother was dead, it must be expected that he had some cousins. It almost seemed like the Weasleys came from large families, even though in her time her family seemed to have around two or three children each, no more than that. Maybe it was a trend back then? Rose pushed te thought aside as Harry resonded by asking if she was related to Ron. Having to hide the smile and the outright 'I'm his daughter' that would cause some serious problems, Rose simply nodded. "Yes, I'm a cousin of his. I doubt he would remember me though, I havn't seen him since I was about three or four." That part was at least true. Granted, the fact behind that was that he died...but she wouldn't mention that to this young Harry.
Rose couldn't help but smile at what Harry said next about his best class, and what her mother forced him to do in their school years. Rose was sure that if her mother was around for her own time Hermione would also push her daughter to study more, even though most of her schooling came easily. "Ya, thats one of my favorites, but Charms is by far my best." She offered no other explination to that, figuring that she was starting to sound like her mother, again with the having to sensor her words! Rose pushed the frustration into the back of her brain until the time came to let it out around people from her own time.

As of the moment Rose seemed really familiar, her hair, her demeanor, her, well everything. Harry tried to make himself settle on the idea that it was because she was related to Ron and looked like him, but there was something more Harry just couldn't quite shove from his mind. But at the moment he could hide his wonder from his face, though not from his mind.
"I guess so, though most Slytherins seem to have a knack for Potions, and a few others. I just don't get how Hermione gets it," Harry noted, having no idea why he was mentioning Hermione more often, maybe it was something subconscious in his head that wanted to come out, but he didn't want to think it.
"That makes sense I guess. I suppose you moved to the United States when you were young, right?" Harry said thinking about it. Dumbledore did say the transfers came from the United States. It would be odd if someone else transferred over from the US and said they had no clue who these people were, though Harry though that would never happen.
"Charms is fun, though Flitwick really makes it a lot more fun than it probably would be without him," Harry replied, since he really liked Flitwick and the way he taught it. Other than Lupin, Flitwick was the most fun professor though he really liked McGonagall mostly because he respected her a lot, even if she wasn't the most fun in the world.

Rose continued to watch Harry's expression throughout the conversation. It was one thing to be a Weasley, but she knew very well that she also had alot of her mother in her, especially when it came to her brains. Rose wondered exactly what was going through Harry's mind as this conversation was unfolding. Did he suspect something was amiss, or did he just accept it as is? Rose guessed that he suspected something, but with no proof to back anything up, he was probably keeping his mouth shut. She recalled just how wise her uncle could be, and she smiled internally at the thought.
Rose nodded at the statement about Slytherins seemingly getting potions more than other students. "Ya, I heard that somewhere," She said, thankful that she could at least play somewhat dumb on that fact, given that she was a "transfer student" at the time. "I also heard that generally the potions master here is head of Slytherin, so maybe that is a reason for it. Either that or they are just cunning in a different sort of way than just the suggested evil I have heard of."
To Harry's comment about moving when she was younger Rose nodded "Ya, something like that. I think my dad had a bit of a travel bug in him and he must have convinced my mom to go with him." She grinned a little bit, knowing perfectly well that her father hadn't actually convinced her mother to do too much of anything, but it did at least sound plausible.
"Ya, he is a pretty fun teacher. I kinda miss my old charms professor, but I am sure I will get over it before long. I just love learning all the different spells and there uses. Then in DADA learning defensive magic. Back home I had the best teacher for that, he had so much experience battling things, and so many stories to tell us." Rose had to cut herself off at that point, knowing that she was just talking of an older version of the person she was currently talking with. She could accidently say something that had happened already, or something that would happen in the next few years if she wasn't careful.

For some reason he kept thinking about this girl he was talking to. Not that it was weird to not think about someone you were chatting with, but it was the first time in a very long time that he wasn't thinking of something else. Ginny was something always on his mind, as well as Sirius, while done grieving he was still finding himself wanting Sirius to pop up in the fire place, missing him so much. On top of those two topics which popped into his head, he thought about the Half-Blood Prince, and of course the Order of the Pheonix. Just thinking about the Order made him wonder how Tonks was (since the last time he saw her she seemed quite upset), and Remus, Molly, Arthur, Kingsley, and Dumbledore, since he had been missing the presence of Dumbledore (since his lessons were cancelled until he got that memory from Slughorn). It was quite strange that a girl he had just met took that much attention away from him, but that was probably because for some reason she was fascinating, not like how he was fascinated with Ginny, but like a kid was fascinated with a fish floating around in a tank (almost, though really he just found her interesting in the way she acted and looked so much like his two best friends, which he didn't want to let himself believe she looked like). "Well this year it isn't, Snape is still head, though since we haven't held down a DADA professor for more than a year, he probably won't be around for much longer, " Harry replied soon surprised he would reveal something like that, which he hadn't even expressed but once to Ron and Hermione. Harry really disliked Snape, but truthfully didn't want him to die, just go work at some other school or something similar. Harry wouldn't be sad, per-say, but he wouldn't wish death upon Snape, unless he betrayed Dumbledore in some way no one expected. He really would probably wish him dead, even if Dumbledore still trusted him. Which is why he was on the trail of finding out what Snape wanted to help Malfoy with. He wouldn't drop that until he had irrefutable proof that Snape wasn't working with Malfoy but to find out information. "Well it's too bad you didn't grow up here, though I bet you had fun in America. You probably would've known Ron better. Have you talked with Ron's parents yet? I bet they would be thrilled to hear about you, whether they remember you or not. Probably allow you to stay over for dinner one night," Harry said enthusiastically. Now Harry had to admit there were so many of the Weasleys it was almost hard to count, and definitely not on his fingers, but maybe if he sprouted a few toes he could count them on his feet and hands? Either way it was very interesting to have another Weasley child among their ranks, and Harry hoped that she could be another one of them he could trust, as he already did with Bill and Charlie, despite not knowing them very well. He was still suspicious about her, since Ron never mentioned her, but it made sense if she moved away before Ron could ever remember her. Harry made a mental note to tell Ron about his cousin Rose coming to town. That could get slightly interesting. "I could probably use a few pointers from your old professor. That could probably help, especially since Snape is having more fun torturing me, than teaching me. One day if you wanted, I would love to hear one of the stories," Harry replied thinking that it would be cool if her professor transferred over here too. Then he probably had a higher likely-hood to learn more useful things in a friendly environment which Harry had been deprived of most of the time in his life, the only good classes were Charms, Transfigurations, and DADA (for one year when Lupin was teaching), but if one counted this year he might include Potions given his edge and Slughorn absolutely loving his 'crown jewel' of all of his Slug Club jewels he stored pictures of on his shelves. The reason he would want to hear these stories is simply to get some more confidence of his survival against Voldemort, and perhaps just have fun listening to the stories. It would be nice to relax and hear about a story of survival, and keeping going on, no matter the difficulties. If her old professor could survive it, then Harry had no doubt the ones he was worried about from the Order also had a high chance of survival, though Harry doubted the stories of the past battles would be that inspiring to him. It was still worth listening to, right? They were probably amazing stories of fighting for what was their side of right. What could it hurt to hear a couple? ((I do not expect a reply this long, my muse is just blasting forth and going crazy for some of my characters Colored the Dialogue just to make it easier to read this time, though I probably won't do it later unless you want me to.))

Rose caught and interesting glint in Harry's eye, and she quickly turned her eyes away. That was a look that she knew meant he was thinking about something. Had she already said too much? The Harry from her time had often mentioned how Rose was a good combination of both her parents, brains and features. Was this present day Harry realizing just how similar she was to his best friends? It wasn't hard to imagine a Weasley being smart, after all, look at her Atun Ginny and her accomplishments. However, all the brains, the red hair, the strong dislike for potions.... really, it all led to two people. When Harry began speaking again Rose's eyes shifted back to him, placing a smile of understanding on her lips. "Is Snape really that bad?" She questioned, knowing perfectly well that in the end he would turn out to be a good guy, hence why one of her cousin's, Harry's second son, held the name 'Severus' as a middle name. "I've heard he can be tough on students, but so far he hasn't been too bad for me." Of course though, Rose had heard the stories about Harry and Snape, once Snape practically gave his life up to Voldemort, and harry then in turn found a new respect for him. She did understand though, that Harry would never fully get over the torture Snape had put him through, but still. Then Rose realised that once again, she should probably keep her mouth shut, as these events had not yet happened in Harry's life. There was still another year before any of it happened. Harry's next words brough a smile to her lips. He was probably right about her grandparents, though Rose supposed in this time she would have to refer to them as uncle Arthur and Aunt Molly. Oh how she missed them, and her grandmother's cooking. If Rose wasn't careful a little bit of drool may have escapped her lips at the thought about her grandmother's cooking, itw as so good. "Ya, That would be nice. It would be cool to get to know the rest of my family." To herself Rose noted the ones, like Ginny and Fred, who she never really got to meet in her own time as they either died before she was born, or shortly after. "As fun as growing up back home was, I almost wish I grew up around here, seems more peaceful in a way." She knew very well that her last statement would probably get a somewhat shocked response, but if this Harry only knew what had actually gone on in her own time then he would understand what she meant. Once again Rose couldn't help but grin. She knew for sure at that point that she had said too much, because now if she agreed to tell Harry some of these stories, which may in turn give him some strength to get through these next few years, that she would have to modify them considerably to not sound like his own adventures. Think about how you would feel if someone from a different place started to tell you stories of your own adventures, and calling the person going through them something else. ya, that would not go over too well. "Sure, I could probably tell you some sometime. They are pretty awesome." ((haha, I can't help but give larger responsed to larger posts >< Then again....I'm also watching Harry Potter as I'm doing this Decided I was sick of the older version (DH part 2) so i went back to the first one, he is so small!))

While Harry's mind was on his two friends as he was talking with Rose, it seemed very unusual to him that his mind kept going back to them. Sure when around Ginny his mind went to Ron, but not as much towards Hermione as he was thinking right now. He felt it was probably just something about her that was a lot like Hermione, and well since she was a Weasley he thought about Ron, yet even with that conclusion he felt he hadn't quite found the answer.
"Are you related to the Grangers by any chance?" Harry asked quickly out of the blue, wanting his mind to be at ease when he thought about them. If so, that could be interesting news to Hermione that Ron and she were related. That probably wouldn't change her feelings, which she had revealed to him (Harry) not too long ago.
"Yes, extremely, though he seems to have a grudge on me mostly," Harry sighed thinking about how much Snape hated him, "Probably because my father picked on him during their schooling time." Harry thought about the memory he had seen last year when he used the shield charm against the mind reading spell. That was the worst time he could think of. On top of lessons from Snape, the ministry, Umbridge, and of course Sirius. Worst year ever most likely, unless he would have everyone he loved die this year or the next. He really hoped that wouldn't happen. Everyone who he was friends with was special, such as Luna, Neville, and even Dean. Everyone was special and he didn't want any harm to befall any of them. If he had his way none of them would be hurt.
"Oh that's right, where you come from is chaos. How bad was it really? I mean, if Voldemort were to team up with this guy from America..." Harry trailed off thinking of it. It would probably mean complete and utter defeat, though he would still fight. Just thinking of how bad some of these students had it, made him wonder if England would turn that way. Harry really didn't want it to happen like that. He was determined to fight until death if he had to. He wouldn't let Voldemort win this war... hopefully he would succeed in it. Plus the thought of Voldemort teaming up with another dark lord was preposterous, Voldemort would likely duel the guy and the winning would take over America (or what the other dark lord had) and what Voldemort had. It was a very grim thought he hoped never occured to Voldemort.
"Great! That'd be just great! Hey, if Ron and some of my other friends want to hear, we could probably set up a story meeting in the common room," Harry suggested just shooting random thoughts out there of what he could do, "Would be quite interesting. I know Neville would probably like them." Neville probably would like them quite a bit, given last year he really came out of his shell, and helped with the raid. Neville probably could relate to some of the stories, just as well as Harry could. Harry didn't find anything suspicious about what she was saying, nor what the stories could be. Harry was just happy to perhaps make an ally from one of the transfers. That'd be a great relief to him and his worries about the transfers. He still was quite suspicious of them all, the most extreme of his suspicions was kids Voldemort took and planted in Hogwarts to gather information. But there was no reason for him not to believe Rose, though he still was wary about trusting her.

Uh oh. Rose's fears were being realized in that moment. Harry had asked if she was related to the Granger's. She hated lying, but how could she possibly go about saying 'yes, on my mother's side of the family' without Harry drawing conclusions? The Weasley's go far back as pure bloods, and she was a half-blood, which would mean a muggle somewhere. Given that Granger wasn't exactly as popular as the name Weasley was, at least in her opinion, it would be very bad to admit that she was indeed related to them.
Instead, Rose simply shook her head. "No, not that I know of." She shut her mouth before the lie could become anymore that it already was. Rose wasn't very good with lying, never had been, and lying to her uncle, even if he wasn't aware of what his relation was to her, was very difficult to do.
Once again Rose nodded. She could understand where Harry was coming from. It was never easy to follow down the path of your parents, especially when a teacher was picked on by one of them. "That is quite possible. He does seem the type to hold a grudge." She paused to think for a minute, trying to recall any other information about Snape she could. Nothing too much came back to her, so she sorta let the thought trail off.
Rose shuddered at the very thought of the present time Voldemort teaming up with the Voldemort from her own time. That would be very scary. Imagine if her Voldemort had the power that he did, teamed with the Voldemort now..... When she thought about it she shuddered even more, Rose probably would never have been born if that happened. "It was terrible back home. My family and I, along with some others, basicly hid out because we didn't want apart of the chaos that was being caused. We as kids grew up in fear, but we tried to make the best of it. I am probably alot closer to my famiy than I would have in another situation." She smiled a little bit, then went back to Harry's other topic about Voldemort. She shuddered once more "I don't even want to imagine what would happen if they teamed up. Would be really really terrible."
Oh no, what had she gotten herself into? Not only would she be retelling some stories to Harry, but others as well. Once again Rose wondered if she had bitten off more than she could chew with this. She nodded slowly. "We will have to see. I'm not normally a fan of too many people all in one area, but we will see how I feel that day. They are pretty amazing stories, and I wouldn't want them retold wrong, but it is very plausible."
