No? Harry was slightly stumped at how she was the perfect representation of both his friends, in appearance and seeming personality. He thought for a second that they might have had a child together, but they were only a year older than Rose here, at least he thought it. There were so many rumors going around about the transfers, but he wasn't sure if he should believe him. Some said that the transfers were created offspring by aliens who took DNA from babies and combined them. Thus creating all of these people who thought they were just cousins, or someone of the same relation. Harry doubted that one. Another rumor was they came from an alternate universe, one farther in the future with different things happening in their parents lives than what was going to happen, or already happened in their lives. Harry was in doubt about them all, he just went along with Dumbledore, just some transfers who looked a lot like those from England at this time.
"Ok, it's just that you look a lot like a Granger," Harry replied slightly stumped but not too much and kept a smile. It wasn't like he was expecting her to come out and say, 'Oh yes Granger was my mother and Weasley was my father, and they just so happen to be your best friends. See these aliens took their DNA when they were little and created me!' That would extremely crazy and it would stun him very much. He probably wouldn't believe her anyways.
"Oh wow... I'm glad you were able to get out of that mess then. Maybe after this war we could help your country out, though at the time we are on the verge of something like that," Harry replied wanting to help her country out as well as his. That just didn't seem possible. "I just hope Voldemort doesn't try to team up with... what was the dark lord's name?" Harry didn't know what to call him. Whether he could call him He-Know-When-You're-Sleeping, or The Dark Lord of the United States, he just wanted to know what he could call him and not get it confused with Voldemort.
"That's true, I know stories are easily corruptible," Harry said with the two words 'Rita Skeeter' glowing in his head, "Just whatever you want to do I guess." Oh how he hated when stories became distorted. Rita Skeeter was the embodiment of that. Oh yeah he was 12 in his 4th year! Oh yeah his eyes were swimming with tears thinking about his dead mum and dad! Oh how the thought of that evil woman (her own breed of evil of course, not like Voldemort or Umbridge evil) infuriated him.

Why did Harry have to be so perceptive? And why oh why did Rose have to be so much like her parents? Better yet, why had she traveled back in time? It just seems to cause so many problems. See, if Rose didn't look and act so much like both her parents, she could get along just fine, j ust being a distant cousin to Ron. But no, she had to have her mother's brains, her father's ove for quidditch, and an essentially equal cobination of both her parents in looks. Even her brother Hugo wasn't as much a representation of their parents as Rose was.
However, even with the difficulties presented with lying, rose couldn't help but smile a little at the statement of looking like a Granger. She wished very much that she could have gotten to know her mother better, thus she hoped to get to know Hermione in the time she was in now. "huh, thats sorta cool....i guess....." She didn't exactly know what to say to that. realy all she wanted to say was 'thanks, I'm glad I look a little like my mom!' but of course, she couldn't do that. she couldn't even say 'I can't even ask my parents about it because they are both dead!' because then that would only lead to other questions, and she really didn't feel like answering them right then.
"Maybe..." was all she could say to Harry helping out her 'country' after this war was over. Hopefully this war could end before it got to her 'country' so that she could have a normal childhood, as her parents did. Then of course, the topic of what he was named. "Umm....we just always called him 'The Dark Lord.' Either that or, as some of us kids used to say 'that crazy evil guy who ruined our lives' but thats really long." She gave a half smile.
Rose nodded "Indeed they are. And if they start getting corrupted, they only get worse. It is pretty impossible to get them back to what they were once they are blown out of proportion." She shook her head a little bit, hating the thought of that.

"Yeah, and weird, but it doesn't really matter," Harry shrugged thinking about it, trying to make his mind forget and stop the association with Hermione and Rose here. Rose was related to Ron, not at all Hermione. Harry didn't want to keep putting the two completely unrelated ones together, but it was hard. Harry tried letting it just slip from his head.
"That crazy evil guy who ruined our lives," Harry laughed, "I like that! I think I'll call your Dark Lord that from now on." Harry could laugh and have fun, and he was just in a mood to be like that today.
"That's true, and as a word of advice, don't tell them outside, unless you cannot find a beetle, even then be careful, Rita Skeeter is an ever watchful eye." Harry warned thinking of how he was portrayed as a wimp and an idiot to all the prophet readers two years ago. And all of last year as well.

Rose nodded at Harry's statement. Yes, in his mind, allow it to be weird. She could not possibly let on that she was indeed related to Hermione as well. That would either make her completely insane, and may then be put away in St. Mungo's where people go into, but not out of, or could cause some other story to go around that would only cause problems for all these new exchange students with same last names as the people here at Hogwarts, most of them looking like their parents as well. No, Rose could not let that happen.
She let the last topic of conversation drop completely, not wanting, or risking, to say anything else on that topic. She did, however, smile largely at the laugh that Harry let out at what she said they called 'her' Dark Lord. Granted, it was true, he was a crazy evil guy who ruined her life. Because of him she has no parents. Because of him she has no aunt and uncle. Because of him Teddy Lupin, Harry's godson, had no parents. Really, her ruined alot of peoples lives. Yet, hearing the sound of Harry's laugh made Rose almost see it from a different perspective. She laughed too, almost couldn't help it. And it felt good. "Well, glad that is settled then. There shall be no confusion as to which Dark Lord we are talking about in the future!" Her smile was huge by that point. It was different to joke about something so terrible, yet she needed that more than ever these days.
"I don't think I would tell them outside anyways. Too many other ears that can hear and make wrong assumptions. Either that or just barge in and say that my side is all wrong and it happened differently. Ya know, the common good and bad thing. Slytherins verse Gryffindors sorta thing." She shook her head, wondering what kinda of insanity would occur if Phineas heard Rose telling of stories from the rebel side.

Well the last part of the conversation was dropped, but Harry's mind was still buzzing on it, like an annoying bee that just won't sting, but when you swat it away, it comes back to bug you even more. Harry kept swatting the thoughts away. Finally Harry just let the bee annoy him and not pay attention to it. Soon, as he hoped, the thoughts were long forgotten as his mind became occupied by other thoughts.
Harry thought about how it was odd that they were laughing about what to call a terrible man who destroyed many lives, but didn't let it cloud his fun. He really felt a little bad about it, but seeing as he could be dead tomorrow and little terrible laughter wasn't too bad, especially since tomorrow he could die from some sort of attack of Voldemort, or Draco. Though he doubted Draco could really hurt him too badly, but that could be just his outlook at Draco. "Good! That crazy guy who ruined your lives will stick! I promise you!" Harry said with a laugh that died down quickly. Well he had some fun with it, but Harry just thought of what that guy did to make all these people want to move to a place in the early stages of what was happening to them. Who knows? A year from now Harry could be in China calling Voldemort the guy who ruined his life!
"That's true, just be careful about any sort of beetles," Harry said with a smile still, then thought about the rivalry, "Gryffindor Slytherin, Order Death Eaters, so many enemies. It's true, I would hate Draco Malfoy coming in and hearing my side to what happened a few years back, though I could retort with a crack on his ferret-ness."

Rose was very thankful that Harry had let the conversation drop. It was still very hard to lie to her uncle, what would the uncle from her time say about this? Would he say good job for keeping a cool head, or would he say that she shouldn't have lied? Rose sighed internally, wondering how the present Harry was dealing with the thoughts that were probably still going around in his brain. She felt terrible for him having to keep the busy bug about her relation to Hermione (and how she had said there was none) but it had to happen.
Rose's mind wandered a little as she was laughing. How were other people from her time doing right now? Were they having as big an issue as she was, labeling her relation with only one side of the family, or trying to identify a name for Voldemort from her time, versus Voldemort from the current time? She continued laughing a bit until it died down natually. The smile stil played on her face though, not wanting to ruin the good mood the laughter had put her into. "Oh, i'm sure it will. I wouldn't bet that one day you refer to your Dark Lord as that too." She hoped that that statement would not arouse suspician.
She nodded in Harry's direction. "I will keep that in mind. I'm not too fond of beetles anyway. Kinda strange creatures." She shuddered a little bit. It wasn't that they scared her, but they were not at all anywhere near her favorite list. Rose nodded, then decided to play dumb about the ferret comment "Ferret-ness? What do you mean?"

Harry slightly raised an eyebrow at that comment. It almost made it seem like she was from the future and that was exactly what they called him in the future. Then again, it was just a stupid explanation. There was no reason for him to disbelieve them at all, he almost trusted Rose here, maybe because she was a Weasley, or because she reminded him of his two best friends so much. So why wouldn't he believe her? What would make him think she was lying? Just because she resembled his friend, didn't mean she was related, it just meant she looked like Hermione. There was absolutely no reason for him not to believe otherwise, so he forced his mind to forget the whole thing. His determination was so great he completely ignored the fact she was a lot like Hermione.
"Well I hope he's gone before he ruins all of our lives, if that's even possible. He's already pretty much ruined my life, but everyone else I hope won't have it ruined," Harry responded with a smile. That was his goal, to make others not go through what Voldemort did to him. He didn't want any Weasley to die, unless they betrayed them and joined Voldemort. He didn't know what he would do if Ginny, Fred, George, Bill, Charlie, and especially Ron were hurt. He could could completely insane and lash out on everyone, and run after Voldemort for revenge.
"Oh, yeah, you weren't there. Sorry. Basically Malfoy was trying to attack me from behind and one of my professors turned him into a ferret, though it turned out that professor was evil, it was still hilarious," Harry explained almost laughing at just the memory. That year, that happening was probably the only good thing that happened. Even the World Cup turned out disastrous, and that was supposed to be completely for fun. Harry seemed to have the best of luck. Ha, yeah right.

Rose was thankful that she wasn't prodded into giving any further explination about her Voldemort. She mentally cursed herself for even bringing things like him up, but then again, it was something that may build trust witht he current Harry Potter. She needed him to trust her, to not think that she was from a different era, to not think that she was related to anyone else, even though she was related to him himself. Boy, that would mess a kid up for sure. Rose shook her head a little, trying to focus once more on the present conversation.
"I hope so as well, it is no fun having to deal with what I went through. sucks that your life isn't that great as well" It was hard for Rose to show that she felt bad for Harry's ruined life, without giving away just how much she knew about his life. Maybe she would be called a creepy stalker? Sure, everyone knew that he was the 'boy who lived' but to know about all the little details about his past, and future, that was a different story. According to her story, she hadn't been here that long, so how could she know all about his past?
Rose listened as her uncle told the story of Draco Malfoy becoming a ferret for a short period of time. This was one of her favorite stories, just because it sounded funny. She often wished that she had been there to see it. Oh well, that was further in the past than she was. "Boy, I'm sad that I missed that one then. I would have loved to see someone get turned into a ferret." Rose thought though, about how Harry's current relationship with Draco was. At some point they became at least allies, so what would Harry think about that ferret story at that point? Would there be guilt? No, probably not. Rose just laughed a little bit at the thought.
((I hope the sentances make sense, my brain kept jumping around as I wrote))

Harry kept his mind focused on what she was saying instead of where she was from, as everytime he thought about where she was from his mind went crazy with theories. Sometimes one might think he was just a crazy person if they saw into his mind, almost sounding like those who were making up all these rumors about the transfers. Harry didn't want to be one of those people, as he hated those sort of people, especially when the rumors were about him, and his personal life. Harry kept forcing his brain not to think like a hypocrite, since he told those who made the rumors up about him to stop, and here he was forcing himself to not to make his own rumors up in his head.
"I guess it's not too bad, I mean I've got those I love, and while my parents are gone, I do have your relatives, you know Ron and the rest of them," Harry said thinking mostly about Ginny, whom he was in a relationship with at this very moment, and he loved her very much, more than a sibling, like Ron or Hermione, and well he just hoped she would be ok when he had to leave and fight Voldemort some point in the future.
"Missed it by about two years unfortunately," Harry laughed, trying not to think of the terrible things of that year, "I probably could tell the story better, but it's hard to focus on the funny things in life sometimes. Hey, Rose... do you know someone who would be called the Half-Blood Prince, anyone really from the states or relatives here?" He might as well ask, it wasn't like she would go an spread the word. Plus he hadn't let on why he wanted to know, and that he would keep close to him, and probably never trust anyone except Ron, Hermione and Ginny with that secret.

Rose nodded at Harry's statements about having those around him whom he loved. That was sort of true for Rose, though different. She had her brother, and her cousin's, and Raj, and Scorp, and many of the other kids from the future, she loved all of them dearly. However, Rose only wished that she had all of those that Harry had mentioned, such as her father, in her own time . She frowned a little bit, wondering as she had many times in the past, her past, what life would be like if she had one or both of her parents still alive.
She nodded once again. "Ya, having people you love is the key to surviving life I guess. you can't possibly make it through without support of friends and family, it would be too difficult." Okay, a little foreshadowing on Rose's part? She smiled at herself though, as she wasn't exactly meaning 'you' as in Harry, although it was true that he needed those people in order to survive the next two years of his life, and farther as well. "I have no idea how people manage to do things on their own. Its kinda sad, really. Something awesome happens and no one to share it with?" She shook her head.
Rose nodded, half with understanding that the story could be told better, and half knowing that the story could be told better. Gotta love having heard it before, by a much older Harry huh? She grinned "Thats okay, these are troubled times, and priorities must be kept straight." She nodded at that statement. However, Harry's next statement, well, question, took her by complete surprise. Again with the stuff she knew but couldn't possibly say! Why oh why did her sixteen-year-old uncle have to have so many questions in him? Rose then shook her head sadly, hoping that her lie came through as truth "No, I have no idea. We don't have anything about a half-blood prince at home, and considering I havn't spoken to this side of my family since I was very little, I don't know if they would know either, sorry." She frowned a little bit, once again hating herself for flat out lying.

Harry didn't know what he would do without his loved ones, especially Ginny, Hermione and Ron. He would be extremely sad if Neville, Dean, Seamus, Luna, Fred, George, Molly, Arthur, Moody, Bill, Charlie, or even the ministry lover Percy. But if he lost Ginny, Hermione or Ron he felt that he would be lost without them. He wouldn't be able to continue without them. He almost felt this way before Sirius died, but not as strongly with it.
"It gives you something worth fighting for at the very least," Harry stated with a smile, knowing half of the reason he was battling Voldemort was to protect those he loved, "I probably would've died long ago if it weren't for Hermione and Ron... Heck my first year I only survived because of their help and sacrifice."
"Exactly, I just have to keep focused," Harry replied knowing if he let himself just relax something bad would happen, even if nothing had happened yet. Harry sighed when she said that she knew no one who would go by that name, really hoping that she would. Maybe he'd find it out soon-ish. "It's ok. I just wanted to see if you knew. Doesn't matter that much."

Rose nodded at Harry's statement. It did give something worth fighting for. Weren't all the kids from the future fighting to a)at least keep things as they were, or b) change things for the better by Voldemort dying at the battle for Hogwarts? Rose for sure was, and Sophie and Teddy were trying to get remus and Tonk's together so that Teddy would be born at least. All these things were all happening because of love for someone.
"Its true. And without something worth fighting for, then what is the point? I know I want to get home, but I guess at this point my 'something worth fighting for' is here. At least here I can hopefully make a difference." Rose couldn't fully believe the words that had just come out of her mouth. All that she wanted to do, since showing up in the past, was to get home. When did she all of a sudden have the realization that in order to get home she had to fight fo the cause here? How much of her future would be changed because of what they did here? She then half nodded to Harry's next statement, having only been half paying attention "I know I have only survived as long as I have because of my brother and friends, the people worth fighting for."
Rose once again nodded, still sort of unknowingly. Her brain was becoming stuck in her own thoughts. She needed to keep herself focused. Rose needed to find out what her exact purpose was in this timeline, so that she could help complete that purpose, so that she could then get back home to her own time, hopefully a better one. "We all need to keep focused. We all need to be prepared for something big, just in case it happens." Drive for battle all of a sudden? Where was the normally calm Rose? "But then again, we are also still kids, we need to be able to have some fun as well." She gave Harry a cheeky grin. "I kinda miss pranking people."

Harry could tell that she was thinking quite a bit throughout this conversation. He never was one to have deep talks with someone he just met, even if they were somehow related to his best mate. But then again in the pit of his stomach he felt he could trust her, and yet he felt she was hiding something and he couldn't trust her. Something was off about her home in that country across the ocean from them. For some reason he didn't want to buy that they were from the United States. Something just felt fishy about it. It was probably just because he was paranoid, and with good cause. In the environment he was in now, he had to be paranoid to a point. Not like Mad-Eye paranoid, but slightly.
"Exactly," Harry replied with a slight smile, "Without a cause there is no battle, and with a strong cause, the battle cannot be lost. Voldemort may win a million battles, kill every last person who opposes him, but in the end, our cause will come out victorious. The war never actually ends, even if one side is completely defeated." He hadn't ever actually thought about what he had said before. But he saw that it was true. Even if he were to die, and everyone he loved and fought for him were to die, he knew that eventually, even if it took a hundred years, Voldemort would be defeated. Hopefully. Harry was wrong a lot of the time, and so if he was wrong, well that would not be good. But even if he knew they would eventually become victorious, he couldn't afford to lose. If he could fight and sacrifice everything to bring this war to an end quicker, he would do it. He would risk everything, except others. He would not sacrifice another's life. That wasn't in him to do that. "I would love to meet your brother and friends sometime," Harry noted, as she mentioned those she fought for. It would be nice.
"And I have a feeling something big will happen sooner than later," Harry stated, but then again, didn't most people have this feeling at the moment? "I could introduce you to the Weasley Twins, if you don't know them yet. They are known as the best prankers of this decade, they could hook you up with some amazing pranking supplies." When did he become the Twins' promoter? When he gave them their starting amount? It didn't matter, he saw them as a great way to relieve pressure. In fact he had several things from their shop in his trunk and in his pockets right now.

Rose was thankful that she had such a good relationship with her uncle in her own time, it made reading his expressions in the present time so much easier. She really had to keep herself focused. She knew quite well that he didn't fully beleive the story about them coming from the United States, her was alot smarter than that. She had heard the rumor though, that they were alien clones, but still, she needed to focus more on the here and now either way. She nodded once more at her uncle. He was always wise, even at a young age apparently. Possibly something to do with growing up without parents.
Rose grinned back at Harry. "And with a strong cause like ours, the battle will be won. I am confident in that." And she was. She was confident that with the knowledge of the battle the future children brought to this timeline, they could win the war. They could win, and everything would be as it should have. No more death, no more destruction, just happiness. Happiness that everyone here deserves. Everyone right down to the wickedest person. Being on the good side, Rose never wished ill of anyone, even those who opposed her. Sure, she may have to kill a few people here to make the world a better place, but if there was a way to help it she would. "You would probably adore my brother, he is alot like our father." Rose said that statement before she really even thought about it. Harry was not aware of the future, and that she was Ron's daughter. Therefore, he does not know that Hugo was pretty much like his best friend... Ya, right, good times. "But ya, Hugo is a true Weasley boy. My friends are pretty awesome too. You may have met some of them already... I have kinda lost track of who all is where currently, kinda happens when you get uprooted from your own community."
Harry didn't know just how true his statement was. Somethng big was going to happen soon. Something that was going to change the Wizarding World forever. Almost more so than Voldemort winner the battle of Hogwarts. Rose simply nodded at his statement, unsure of exactly what to say about it. Rose was also very thankful at the swift change in topic thans to her pranking statement. She would love to meet her uncles in this time. "I would love that. It would be nice to get to know more of my family anyways. But you sound like you know from experience about this pranking thing...." She smirked at Harry, trying to not look too knowing, but knowing enough.

Harry always knew he was wise, at least to some they viewed him that way. He just felt that was the sort of thing that was just true, that those siding with him believed in. He guessed that his wise-ness was just because he was able to put those feelings into words. Or maybe because people didn't even realize that they believed it until he voiced it. Either way, him believing this might be due to the fact that as Hermione put it, he was modest, even if he didn't really see it that way.
"Exactly," Harry responded with a smile, happy that she saw things the way he saw it. Really last year was when it all came down to it. Those who believed him were trustworthy and those who didn't believe him were just around him because of his boy who lived/chosen one status. He had a feeling Rose would have believed him last year. "I would love to meet your brother, if he's anything like any of the other Weasleys, he'd be great!" And a great ally in this war, just like he felt Rose was. If he was anything like Ron, well they would be pretty good friends, pretty much every Weasley besides Percy was great.
"Ah well," Harry said rubbing the back of his neck ever so slightly as if he was nervous, "I gave the twins a little leg up in their business, nothing too much." Thoughts went back to when he really wanted some of the skiving snackboxes, but with Hermione there, she would not allow him to buy them. Though Harry did manage to snag a few things, such as the decoy detonators and some of their Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder.
