"Nope, you don't know what you mean!" Sirius insisted having been conditioned for a death stare from both of his parents, his aunts and his brother.
"Well it depends. Is it chocolate cake?" Remus asked. Chocolate cake sounded really good right now. Heck, any chocolate always sounded good. Maybe he should try quitting chocolate... But his addiction to that perfect sweet substance was minor, right? RIGHT?
Remus reddened when laughed, which caused Sirius to laugh and Remus to feel embarrassed and not want to laugh right now, but the laughter was so addicting that he gave in and laughed slightly with the two laughing hyenas.
"Original means that there are others. Unique means one. So are there any other beautiful, clumsy, outgoing, beautiful, and brave Metamorphagi that are Aurors?" Remus asked with a smile before realizing that he had said beautiful twice. Oh no. Sirius would definitely comment on that.
"Am I a beautiful, clumsy, outgoing, beautiful, and brave person?" Sirius asked with a laugh, "Especially the double beautiful part."
"No, no you are not beautiful," Remus responded with a little bit of red of embarrassment on his face.
"Well, then I should call you Nymphadora more often," Remus teased.

"Now I know why my mother said she never could win an argument when she came here. Everything in the argument was invalid!" Tonks shook her head trying not to laugh. She shook her head trying to keep out the laughter. She would not be overcome, nope it wasn't going to win.
"Sure it can be chocolate cake." Tonks nodded. "Chocolate actually sounds really good, maybe Molly will make a cake." The thought made her lips pucker. She really liked her cake. She prefered lemon cake with buttercream frosting but chocolate cake was begining to sound good. Ooh! Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, with chocolate chips to top it off. Yeah. Now that, that is a cake.
"Well, none that I know of. And um, I'm not beautiful, I'm sexy and I know it." she laughed. "I think you're beautiful Sirius, and I'm the only one who's opinion matters." She felt like she'd known them her whole life, they all just got on that quickly.
"Not allowed. I will not allow this!" Tonks shook her head so vigoursly she fell forward into Lupin. She got up and breathed in and said in a loud whisper, "I AM SO SORRY!! I lost my balance!"

"Exactly. Growing up with my family, nothing is valid," Sirius stated with a triumphant nod before he seemed to confuse him, "Wait, that isn't a good thing..." Remus couldn't help but chuckle, as Sirius was a little bit of an idiot sometimes.
"Yes!" Remus said excitedly, before clearing his throat and adding, "We could bake a cake sometime. I am not good in cooking, but baking, especially when chocolate is involved, I am fairly good in." If there was chocolate in the house it was because Remus had hidden it somewhere in the house, away from all those who would steal it. And he knew where it was and could use it. He wondered if Molly had found it yet... probably not the chocolate in his room, but the other places perhaps.
"See, it means that you are unique," Remus stated before chuckling at her comments afterwards, "I suppose you could call it sexy as well..." And here he was admitting it. He was such an idiot sometimes. Hopefully, she would just think that he was just having fun and joking around, while not thinking that he didn't think she was beautiful and sexy, and young, and so very desirable... Remus Lupin! Shut the heck up! "So my opinion doesn't matter?" Now it was Remus' turn to do the over exaggerated sense of offense and a sad face, though he was just joking of course.
"I-It's ok," Remus said having held his breath when she had fallen into him, managing to stay on his feet barely. She stood herself back up on her own feet before Remus breathed once more, but it was instantly that Remus felt a very odd sensation of wishing she was still near to him. "I-I understand..." He had to recover himself from just making it seem awkward... that was not his specialty.
"Awww, Little Tonks and Moony hugging it out!" Sirius laughed.

Mari had only just arrived at Sirius' home, having been stationed in Sardinia and therefore unable to come until recently. With her was her nephew, Jared, the assigned envoy to the Order sent by his mother. He looked distinctly irritable and uncomfortable with the scary wrapped around his neck; it was a precaution taken because of the thick band of scars around his throat. He wasn't necessarily self-conscious about the scars (that had long-since passed), but they tended to make the British uncomfortable. Not that Jared, himself, didn't.
"What is this about baking a cake?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at Lupin, Sirius and the girl. "I don't trust you in a kitchen, Remus; I think you'll steal the chocolate."
She was keenly aware of Jared's presence over her shoulder, simmeringly angry over being restationed. He would do what he needed to, but she was sure that he'd be angry about it for a while. He hated being yanked from where he was stationed, especially if it meant leaving his relatively inexperienced younger sister in charge. He would be raring to get back to Ercolano as soon as was humanly possible, she was sure.

Remus looked at the newcomer and his face went red slightly. They knew each other from school, though they never really... got along. She was friends with Severus, and well... everyone knew the kinds of pranks the Marauders pulled on Snape. Remus at least was the culprit behind them, and wasn't as hated for the mean things his friends pulled. Even the gutless Peter pulled some pranks that did not go over well.
"Any chocolate in the house is mine," Remus replied with laugh, trying not to make things seem awkward, but needless to say, things did turn out slightly awkward. Remus curiously looked at the boy who came with Marissa, before realizing that it must have been that Marisol's son, mostly because he reminded Remus of Marisol, though he and Marisol really didn't know each other, mostly just of each other. He doubted that most of the Italians didn't bother worry about him, but he found himself curious about them and when in school he made it a goal to know more about them and what they were facing at home.
"So, how are you doing?" Remus asked, trying to break the silence. He could tell Sirius was not very happy to see them, and Mari's appearance managed to shut him up for a bit. "It's nice to see you again. And it's a pleasure to meet you, young man. My name is Remus Lupin. That's Sirius Black and this," Remus indicated the clumsy Auror, "is Nymphadora Tonks. Just don't call her Nymphadora, she hates it."

Tonks had just gotten up off her butt and was rubbing it from the pain. These floors were dangerous, or maybe she was just a clutz. Either way, she was going to regret falling later. Or maybe she wouldn't. When the new lady came in she was kind of confused. She was sure she would be the last one there.
Tonks's ears heard her name and she instantly glared at Remus Lupin. "I. Will. Harm. You. With. One. Of. Molly's. Knives." She then proceeded to turn on the new comer, "Don't. Call. Me. Nymphadora!" Honestly, did this guy like to tease her that much? Or was he just that thick?

Jared paused in unwinding his scarf from around his neck to raise an eyebrow at Tonks silently and sign something about not playing with knives before he finished taking off the scarf, revealing the scars that were all that was left of when he could talk. Poor kid. He'd worked so hard to become a wizard; Mari and her siblings couldn't be more proud of her nephew.
"This is my nephew, Jared," she explained, gesturing to the boy. "He was in an...ah, unfortunate accident as a child, and he can't talk, but you won't meet a more determined person anywhere. We've been fine, by the way, just incredibly busy; we finally drove the Auditore out of Northern Italy, so that should limit the chances of them crossing borders. Sorry about that scare a few years ago."
She smiled bemusedly at Nymphadora and glanced at Jared. He shrugged and signed something about crazy women.
"He says that you shouldn't play with knives," she translated. "And I'm Marissa Cavaliere, by the way; it's delightful to meet you, Tonks."

Remus looked at the young man and did feel quite bad for him, not being able to talk, but impressed, because he was probably a determined wizard and accomplished one for being mute. Remus looked at Tonks with a smile before shaking his head with a chuckle.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Jared," Remus said with a smile, "There's no need to apologize, it really should be us apologizing to you after not helping you with our problem and causing such a war in Italy." Remus had felt bad for awhile about that, but he was following his orders, and just one of them wouldn't help much. Sirius didn't seem to have a comment, standing by Remus looking at the newcomers and not looking happy nor angry nor pretty much anything but neutral in emotion.
"See, she really do hate the name Nymphadora," Remus teased with a huge smile on his face.

Tonks subconciously touched her neck. How could anyone stand living with out being able to talk? She gulped and started messing with the skin on her lips. She felt bad for the kid but didn't know what to say.
"I will choke you out." she said through gritted teeth. "How many times do I have to say not to call me that!!" She pushed him by the shoulder and crossed her arms. She wasn't going to stand for this. "It's nice to meet you too miss but he keeps agitating me and it makes me quite mad."

Something about Tonks seemed to put Jared at ease as his face contorted into something akin to a smile, though Marissa seriously thought that her nephew didn't know how. It was more of a smirk, really, but at least the intent was there. His shoulders shook with silent laughter, and she relaxed. Jared could be a real trouble-maker when his ire was raised, and she didn't want him hell-raising in England where her older sister wasn't around to rein him in.
"You were busy with your own problems here," Marissa replied to Lupin. "I wish that we could've been more help. Civil wars are nasty, time-consuming business."
Jared nodded his agreement, turning his attention to Tonks.
'You should turn his hair pink,' he signed. 'My grandfather taught me a spell for that.'
"He suggested that you turn Remus' hair pink," Marissa translated for Tonks through her laughter.
He smiled wolfishly (the only smile that he was capable of) and nodded confirmation of what his aunt had said.

Remus couldn't help but smile, despite encountering Marissa and Jared, as it was just too priceless to tease Tonks about her name, but it wasn't just that. Tonks just had something about her that made him not want to leave her presence. He'd eventually get over it... right? She was just so accepting, strong, hilarious, and friendly. If he didn't know better she was the kind of person he would fall in love with.
"Of course, we, or at least I and I'm sure others," he peered at Sirius who was remaining silent for the moment, and Tonks, "completely understand," Remus said with a small nod, "By the way, if you don't mind me asking... why exactly are you here?" Remus hadn't been briefed on the Italians coming, or anything like that, which created his surprise.
The whole thing with Jared and his scars really was sad, but knowing how pity was an extremely undesirable thing, experiencing it first-hand himself. As he was not a stranger to scars, obvious by the scar across this face and all around his body, especially the one on his shoulder from his bite when he was a child that turned him into a werewolf (a reason he didn't wear extremely short sleeves), he wasn't as surprised as most people would have been when Jared showed his scars, but was surprised to see them on a young man.
"I don't recommend that, after the Pink Hair Fiasco of 1976," Sirius finally piped up looking at Remus who was sending a questioning look as if wondering the validity of such a threat, "James and I turned his hair pink, but for the next week the two of us were completely pink, no matter what clothes we had on." Remus wouldn't do that to a superior, no matter the punishment, but with his friends it was quite hilarious.

"Maybe I'll turn him puke green. Then everyone can say he's looking green with envy that a girl go the best of him." Tonks smirked devilishly. She stroked her chin deciding what she wanted to do, there were so many ways she could go with this. She turned her attention after the pink hair fiasco was mentioned.
"Wait, what would be the price for turning him green? It's not like I couldn't change my hair color still right? I might have to punch him in the eye if I can't change my hair color." she glared and crossed her arms. Her hair was her most prized possession.

"I won't let my guard drop around you then," Remus suggested with a small laugh, already knowing he had some of his metaphorical barriers that were shattered just by her being her. How could he just act as if they had been friends for years when they had just met, despite her being related to his best friend.
"He'll have to give you a kiss!" Sirius teased, causing Remus' eyes to widen and slap the man upside the head. Oh Sirius. How Remus loved him so (as a brother, don't get any ideas), but sometimes he was annoying, and very pushy about the girlfriend thing. He could tell many jokes and discussions about Nymphadora in his future.
"I will NOT!" Remus insisted, "I have plenty of things I can do, after all I was the brains behind all of our friends' boneheaded schemes, well at least some of them."
"No, no, no, that was me! You know I was the bookworm of the group, I could put a stop to all of the stupidest schemes everyone came up with," Sirius joked.
"I'll believe that for the swamp in the Great Hall and the squid incident of 1977, but I won't let you take credit for the Color Extravaganza of 1978, or the Library Attacks of 1974," Remus remarked shaking his head. The squid incident had been hilarious. They began spreading the rumor that the squid was Godric Gryffindor, and each night, they would dress up one of them to look like Gryffindor's portraits from a distance, and walk around the grounds. It became a very popular rumor, and almost believed as true, until some student went searching for Godric Gryffindor at night, finding Sirius, Sirius running, and them stopping, since they didn't want to become expelled. It was extremely hilarious, though. "Either way, I know how to pull off plenty of things, so I don't recommend trying anything funny."

Tonks's eyes went wide, her cheeks flushed, her throat was dry and she couldn't think straight. "P-pardon?" she muttered. When she finally found a train of thought, she said, "I'm sorry, but you seem to have lost any and every single grain of sanity you had left. I'm not trying to be rude but, in no way, shape or form is anyone going to kiss me unless I allow it." she sounded like a twelve year old who was just getting in to boys but still thought they had cooties.
She raised an eyebrow as the two fought over who was the brains of their group, by that point she was hoping it was neither of them. "Just shut of the both of yah! You sound like blithering idiots more than pranksters. And besides, a true prankster doesn't have more than one person behind it all. A true prankster, only has one." she smirked.
"I just as quickly can trip and bust my head open. Want to test it?" she smiled. Of course she was joking, who in their right mind would want to test all around clumsieness against magic? No one! Because it's a stupid idea!

"I never said it!" Remus said holding his arms up in defense trying to distance himself as far as he could from Sirius's comment. Just because he was a guy and did find Nymphadora attractive, didn't mean he was going to go around and kiss her just because. He remained convinced by himself it was just an attraction normal guys had to her, well, that weren't related to her, like Sirius. Otherwise, he'd be all over her, right? Of course, who couldn't be attracted to that clumsy, beautiful, wonderful woman before him?
"That's because we are blithering idiots," Remus sighed shaking his head. Sirius seemed to take offense to Remus's comment.
"I am not!" Sirius insisted, "And we all pulled our own pranks. What good is a prank if you can't have fun with your friends while planning them?"
Remus smiled at her suggestion to test her clumsiness, but Sirius seemed to be excited by the idea. "Yes! Let's test it!" Sirius laughed. Remus again shook his head at Sirius.
"Let's not and say we did," Remus suggested.
