"Still not allowing it.." Tonks muttered. She placed her hands on her hips, "Let's get to work! Or are we just going to stand here starin'?" she nodded and headed for the stairs. Now, you may be thinking, she didn't trip? On the contrary, she took one step and tripped over her cloak. She fell forward and looked a bit silly when she started to pull herself up. "I'm alright! Just tripped. No one try and help me up." she said sarcastically.
She really didn't have a back up comment to Remus agreeing with the blithering idiots. "Well, at least you know it and admit it."
"It's the best prank ever because no one will know it was you who did it and there would be nothing to get in trouble for. Duh." She stated plainly.
"I'm with wolf face over here, lets not test it." she nodded. She was not going to fall on purpose.

Remus nodded as she went to the stairs, looking back at Mari and Jared. "Well, I've got work to do. I will see you at the meeting, right?" Remus then looked towards Sirius, and before he could warn Sirius, he heard Tonks fall, and turned around quickly, seeing her pull herself up and hear what she had said. He almost jumped forward to help her up, but she was already up before he could react. "Are you ok?" He asked, and then turned towards Sirius once more, "Play nicely?"
"I cannot guarantee it," Sirius said pretending to be perfectly serious, "Unless..." a sneaky grin slowly formed on his face looking towards Tonks and Remus, "You two-" He was interrupted by Remus silencing him with a silencing spell.
"Let's go," Remus said turning back towards Tonks casually. However, soon the silencing spell ended, as Remus did not make it that strong anyways.
"Why deny the truth?" Remus shrugged.
"But the trouble is half the fun!" Sirius shouted after her with a huge smile. Remus laughed at Sirius's comment, knowing how much Sirius and James had detention, and how sometimes he wondered if they actually wanted to get caught all the time.
"But it'd be so fun!" Sirius again commented.
"He's still a bit crazy from Azkaban," Remus whispered to Tonks.

Tonks glared a little bit. Did he really want to ask that? "Do I look okay? Its not like I fall all the time. Oh wait, I do. I'm fine." she shook her head. "Come on, we haven't got all day here."
It took her a moment to register what Remus had stopped Sirius from saying. She rounded on them, her mouth agape. "How dare you! And my mother thought highly of you? Oh she will not be happy to hear her favorite cousin is trying to set her daughter up." she shook her head.
"Don't deny it, just make people guess. I got away with a few things that way. Then again, I did have professor Gio.. He never really gave me real detentions..." she pursed her lips thinking.
"Your deffinition of fun and mine must be different, because fun to me, is making fun of wolf face over here." she nodded. "If he's insane then why are you talking to him? The non-insane don't normally talk to insane people. They avoid them. And by that means, you are insane too."

"I was just making sure," Remus replied with a small smile. This woman was just amazing. She was very confident, funny, and a bit clumsy, which was a very endearing quality. He had never been so infatuated with a woman. If his luck wasn't so terrible as to scar him with his disease, then he may have already asked her out, and became a couple with her. Then again, he probably would be a professor still, and he would have been a lot more open to others, and perhaps never became friends with the Marauders.
"He's just forgotten how to act around people, forget about it," Remus said defending his looney friend. Sirius was still a really great friend. Sirius was always the matchmaker for him, especially if he showed any sort of attraction towards a person, such as how he was admiring Tonks.
"It's true, they loved the attention it brought. They wanted everyone to know who was behind it all. Sometimes they couldn't pin it on Sirius and James, occasionally Pettigrew and I," Remus said, having to force himself to say Pettigrew's name, "They didn't get caught if I was behind the mechanics of it, but everyone knew it was us at the same time."
Wolf face, wolf face, why was she calling him that? Oh well, it was fairly funny. "But Moony's so easy to pick on. With his old time-y idiocy, and his obsession with chocolate!" Sirius commented with a laugh.
"It is not an obsession, chocolate is simply good!" Remus retorted. Sirius simply laughed. "Of course I am insane, who isn't?"

"It's alright. It's not your fault I'm clumsier than a giraffe on stilts." Tonks shook her head. "Now." she said latching her arm around Remus's, "We have a job to do!" she dragged him toward the steps and started to go down them. "See everyone later at the meeting!" she called up the stairs.
"What do you mean by that? Just because someone's been locked up for years doesn't mean they don't remember how to act around people. Some of the people I've seen released have been too scared of people to even talk. Even if they haven't had the kiss, they look terrifed. Like, like they'll never know the world as it was before." she squinted. She had no clue how to put it.
"So you were the one behind all the things I always got in trouble for? I'd re-create pranks I'd heard about and before they were even set off, I was in trouble. Only one who I got 'detention' with was Professor Gio, he just had me translate his books." she shrugged. "Not that hard once you knew Italian."
"Good question! Not everyone's mad, but all the best people are." Tonk winked, it was almost flirtatious but, no, she was just joking around. "And about that chocolate issue, I'd look into a doctor for that. Or maybe something just as sweet." she chuckled.

"You had my father?" Mari asked as she and Jared joined them, raising an eyebrow. "Oh. I know who you are, then. He spoke highly of you."
'That's a real compliment,' Jared signed. 'Grandpapa Gio's an unfriendly old bastard.'
"Do not call your grandfather a bastard, young man!" she scolded. "Does your mother know you speak that way about your elders?"
'Wish I could speak about anything,' he signed back, face scrunched up in that rebellious scowl he'd inherited from Marisol herself. It made her want to slap him sometimes. Really it did. She wasn't good at dealing with teenagers, including her own. Gabe and Damien were seven kinds of impossible most of the time, so was Jared, but for different reasons.
She shot a glare at her recalcitrant nephew and looked away, determined to not give him the satisfaction of her getting worked up. He was a spiteful little jerk, and it would make him happy.
